4:33 That moment of Jaune cheering the plan and Ren and Nora looking on I think is basically showing that bits of the old Jaune are starting to come back now that they've all had their moment. Jaune is probably the least depressed he's been since Pyrrha's death.
The reference is subtle, with the foot of the robot being the first part visible with an entrance door, but Cordova is the little old lady who lived in a shoe, kinda.
I honestly LOVE the fact that Maria is cashews specifically because if you remember in a previous episode Maria talks about why she got banned from flying to Atlas was because she brought onto the flight a bag of cashews
Theres just something about having a crazy granny character in a story that both warms the heart and tickles the funny bone at the same time 😂 maria is a great addition
Cordovin: I can't wait to see you follow in your sister's footsteps. Weiss (externally): Absolutely! Internally: Winter's going to kill me once she finds out about this.
For that incident where Blake and Adam fell through the trees and landed terribly, they arent seriously injured because they were actively engaging their aura. I just cant understand why they didnt have Blake catch herself better. She is a cat faunis.
@@bulletsandbracelets4140 That is fair. I didn't think about that. I still think they should have made her a bit more graceful than Adam though. A cat vs a bull falling over a cliff. Would have been a nice detail.
I think the key word there is 'faunus'. Cats use their whole bodies to fall better, from tail for repositioning to the way their limbs spread out, to the way their spine can twist and flex; The only part of Blake that's actually cat is her second pair of ears and maybe her eyes - her falling better would be weird for anyone who actually knows how cat falling works (plus cats don't always fall perfect anyway; my own cat has had to be taken to the vet due to bad falls more than once so seeing Blake slam into the ground like this makes total sense to me).
@@WaywardVetI don't think he went to Menargerie or was stalking her for *that* long because otherwise why would Ilia and the White Fang there need to capture Blake and send her to Mistral which is where they themselves said Adam was. He's certainly been stalking her since the Battle of Haven though.
Maria is just the best. While the Adam we saw outside Brunswick was just a PTSD flash (he was in his old outfit) from Yang, the Adam we saw when Blake was decoupling the train back in episode 1 was the real deal. So he’s just essentially been stalking her and waiting for a moment where she was separated from the rest of the party. I love (hate) how Adam is like “why did you come into my life and ruin everything” when… that’s not even what happened. She was around 12 when he met her and he was about 18 and he’s the one that won’t leave her alone. Like bro… you’re the problem here. I get that that’s the point but man. So hyped for the next few episodes.
@@ShadowRose759 I said Fights as in plural, cause there's 2 separate conflicts going on in the next chapter, and both are awesome, you can't deny that.
You're in for a treat next episode, if you look back to the moment after rwby asked the question about Oz, that's when she truly started to be an adult and huntress, she succeeded when Qrow failed
I love these last few episodes, Ruby is my favorite character and seeing her excel as a leader using her spark that Oz and Salem have always talked about is amazing. To think that all the times Yang and Blake saw Adam and it wasn't a mirage makes your hair stand on end.
Back in episode 5 (I think) Yang sees a flash of Adam, but it's definitely just her seeing things because he's wearing his old outfit. But in the premiere when Blake sees him on the train, he's not only wearing his current outfit, he doesn't seem to be wearing his mask. Blake doesn't know at that point that Adam has ditched his mask so there's no reason for her to imagine that detail, so that's almost certainly really Adam, she just assumed she was seeing things as well. Also earlier that episode Qrow points out to the train's guards that one of them left the employee entrance open, but both of them deny that it was therm. I've always assumed that it was actually Adam breaking into the train.
You know thats an interesting theory about Adam sneaking onto the train that I hadn't considered. I'd always assumed it was a joke on Qrow's "Bad Luck" semblance affecting the idiots in a comedic way... you know, how Qrow always used to use it in his early depictions before we knew what his semblance was. (Like Winter's "bad luck" in having Ironwood show up just in time to see her about to harm a "civilian")
I just love thinking about their plan. Who suggested that Maria hide in the suitcase? Did she suggest it herself because she’s that kind of person, or did someone else come up with it and she’s like let’s do it!
I am sure that somehow RWBY will continue. RWBY is too popular and makes a ton of money. The only Company I hope doesnt take the IP is HBO because they are known for ruining any series they have.
@landmine121 Barbara did mention though that the show was starting to cost too much to produce...don't think it's making as much money as we think it is. It was one of the most popular things RT put out so I thought the same thing but I guess I was wrong. There's enough fans that have copied the animation style to make fan videos/OC stuff so it would be really cool if another company picked it up and continued it. To atleast put out one more season to try and wrap up the story. Or if someone writes a book series on the whole show so then the plot holes are filled and the story ends the way it should. I would read the shit out of those books 😂
Looking back on this, Adam and Azula are very similar. Both who we thought were all that in the beginning of the story, and then later, they're starting to break down because they were starting to lose things that were a backbone for them.
Everytime the giant mech comes out i hear the MGR track Collective Conscious playing becausethat is a goddamn Metal Gear lite if i ever saw one in a whacky world.
If anyone it was SAFFRON who couldn't sell it 'Oh. No! He.Will. Just. Miss. You. So. Much.' Adrian is precious though, and his over acting was fantastic. No toddler acts, its all overact.
If i had a nickel for everytime i had seen Mela Lee play a short character, prideful and loyal to her leader, piloting a mech, i will have two nickel. That isn't much but it's fun that happen twice. Also, Maria and Weiss are a really good comedic duo, even if it's at the expense of Weiss lol.
Fun Facts Fact 1: Weiss stating how Maria's eyes desperately need repair is a callback from "Uncovered". Fact 2: Maria eating cashews over the radio when Cordovin threatens her is a reference to "Dead End"; Maria says that she was "placed on the additional screening list for life" after bringing cashews onto "one flight". Fact 3: Adam mentioning that he let Blake go once and vowed to never let her go again might be a reference to either the "Black" Trailer or "Heroes and Monsters". Fact 4: Adrian's crying is not a semblance, that's just for comedy.
Ruby seems like the adult because she have to, because their "leaders" (Ozpin and Qrow) are out of comission, so, Ruby had to take on the roll and she is nailing it, but remember, she is still young, lets see how she manage such responsabilities from now on the next volumes... Respectfully they give both fights about even time overall. Like yes the Cordovan fight gets more "literal" screen-time but it also is juggling significantly more characters. In reality I'm pretty sure Blake/Adam get far more screen time than any other character in the next episode...

That's just your perspective I think! I love the way his progression foreshadows another character's... the pure obsession that overrides even his own commitment to his mission and, ultimately, his own inevitable downfall.
