Something I love is that while everyone else was certain Robyn would win, Robyn herself kept saying things like "if I win". She even noticed the poll percentages at one point while everyone else seemed to ignore it. It's small but I like that about Robyn that she wasn't going to count it as a victory until it was all said and done. Renora calling out the Bees will never not be great. "Friends, huh? Just friends?" And then transitioning that into trying to talk about their own relationship. Brilliant. Weiss not wanting to third wheel the Bee date was hilarious. Suffering Weiss due to Bee shenanigans is always a treat.
Also, really fun to see Weiss so readily agreeing to go out with Jaune (and Oscar). Really shows both of their developments in a simple way considering 5 volumes ago Jaune would have had a door slammed in his face by Weiss.
One thing I really appreciate about this show is that it truly shows the moral grey area of life everyone lives in. Everyone thinks about situations in different ways and has to decide what they think is right or wrong. The dynamic of wanting to protect a city with few defenses or using those defense resources to try to protect everyone in the world. Or even the debate Ren and Nora were having about continuing to train versus taking a night off to have fun and relax. There isn’t always a clear answer or way to do things. The characters have to decide for themselves what to do.
Tyrian's semblance is aura disruption. If you imagine aura as a Suit,he can rip off a piece and attack through the hole he's made. That's how he cut Fiona(sheep girl) while her aura was still active
It also explains why his eyes go purple at certain instances in Volume 4 and why his attack seemed to cause genuine pain to Ruby despite her blocking the strike and it not really seeming to hit her directly aside from maybe a graze. Considering aura is a projection of the soul and a shield most of the time, being hit like that alone probably feels like a piece of yourself physically being torn open with a semblance like Tyrians as you're basically rending the soul directly rather than just beating on it until the projected barrier breaks.
Upon rewatching, a few detalis are made clearer: -Watts is changing the ellections results using his phone (the blue/yellow thing on it that he changed), that is probably hat he talked to Jaqcues about. -Tyrian killing those people are two things: framing Ironwood (like he was allready doing in Mantle the whole time), and usng his footage to change into Penny's footage (we see glimpses of this with Watts), this is the bigger deal cause it gives legitimacy claims about who did the attack, and at the end we see Watts hitting the Upload button after using the "model" change, making a perfect frame against Penny. This just shows how Arthur Watts is one of the most resourcefull villains at Salem's disposal. He is the reason the robots attacked Beacon, he is the reason of Lionheart betrayal, and now all the chaos in Mantle is also mostly him to blame (Tyrian as well).
Watts wasn't the reason for Lionheart, he was just the go-between. Lionheart's betrayal was pure cowardice after learning that Salem couldn't be killed.
@@Mirality Further more he's not even the original reason for Leo's betrayal. Keen viewers will recall that Salem *reassigns* Watts to Haven in Volume 4, because Cinder is out-of-commission, implying that it was originallly Cinder who puppeted Leos fear on behalf of Salem. Watts also basically didn't even do anything. Fun Facts Fact 1: One of the "Thirsty Moms" seen riding a truck participating in the Mantle riots is seen again watching the election polls a few seconds later. Fact 2: Three of the "Thirsty Moms" from the prior episode can be seen amongst the dead when the lights turn back on. Fact 3: Throughout the duration of the episode, Robyn's vote decreases over time. Fact 4: According to Eddy Rivas, there were no plans to show Blake and Yang with Team FNKI in the club. Fact 5: According to the Volume 7 Crew Commentary, originally Tyrian was going to make it look like a group of Atlas soldiers fired on civilians in Mantle. Then, Eddy Rivas thought it should frame RWBY, but ultimately, the crew went with framing Penny. Fact 6: An early draft of the episode featured the team and Ironwood doing an investigation at the Mantle warehouse post-massacre. However, that episode was so packed, the writers wanted to move it to "A Night Off", but then that episode also became too packed. The crew plans to get to it in future volumes. Fact 8: Eddy Rivas came up with the idea for the middle part of Volume 7 while he had a really bad fever. Fact 9: Originally, the writers did not want anything to have anything political in this volume, but the more iterations they did, they felt like it was the best course of action to do that with the story. Fact 10: The writers wanted to give the heroes a high personal moment with Ren and Nora kissing right before things went down. Fact 11: While the writers usually do not check back up on extras, Drunk Man and his friend are shown repeatedly throughout Volume 7 to represent the people of Mantle.
It's fun to think about the fact that Ruby at this point has still probably spent more of her life hanging out with Ren and Nora than Weiss and Blake. So you may see things later and think, "why didn't Marrow use his insanely strong Semblance?" but the show is showing you it's limitations; it's only what he can see for as long as his Aura holds up, and the more he stops the harder it gets. He barely holds the crowd here for more than a few seconds.
I am fairly confident that isn't true. Volume 1 is semester 1 of school and Volume 2 is semester 2 of school.
