Bioshock was one of the first games I was left speechless after the twist occurred, an amazing story and a brilliantly executed experience (except for the final boss battle).
FreakScenePromotions Honestly, I felt like the story ran out of gas after Ryan's death, something Ken Levine himself agrees with. Liked the way the final boss fight ended though, with the Little Sisters doing their best piranha pack imitation.

This game wasn’t just important because it made a compelling story, but it brought the idea of making games that had a message, a theme, that could be actually be applied and be very relevant to our society. Also it showed just how much a games atmosphere could truly add to the immersion and what the capabilities of a video game could do. Bioshock couldn’t have worked as well as a movie or book bc the atmosphere will never be as perfect as it is in a video game
Personally i think the setting and overall experience the first 2 games provided were more interesting than infinite but i consider the whole trilogy one of, if not the best shooter series ever.
Guitar Shredder agreed. It is my favorite series of games. Actually just started the first game again about an hour ago to do another play through of the trilogy
Lollipop gurl as much as I would like to see a BioShock movie I would have to say no because they did a assassin's Creed movie and it was suppose to be a action adventure, storyteller but instead we gotten crap out of that movie I would hate to see BioShock fall under a bunch of amateurs who don't even know the games main story.
what are you talking about, character development was non existent from the beginning. By the end, all the characters were the same as they were in the beginning. In terms of writing, it was non existent also until the end of the game, which wasn't even that good of writing to be honest. It's just a watered down multiverse theory that seems complicated when in fact, it really isn't Just my opinion
There was character development? Everyone pretty much stuck to their one note the whole game. It was based on a book so that takes down the creativity a notch. Honestly, cant remember anything spectacular about the story other than than " a man chooses, a slave obeys."
"Have you ever tried it? If no, Try it!" After spoiling almost every important part of the story from the videogame. Well played Falcon, wonderfully played.
I got Bioshock Infinite second hand and it's my favorite FPS game. I've been told a lot to play the older ones too but I never got a chance to find them. The team behind these games are really talented, huge respect.
You absolutely should play the first two if you haven’t yet although obviously they’ve been spoiled by now. I feel like story wise the first one blows the other two out of the water although Infinite def gets some points for how pretty it is
WarriorCereal I hated infinite too which sucks because it really was visually stunning. The whole time I played it I wanted to bang my head against my desk until I died
I played bioshock infinite before bioshock 1 and never was able to play bioshock 2 but the colours were so vibrant in bioshock infinite that when i played bioshock 1 i was too scared to play it. ;-;
I suggest you go back and play it. I played the remastered version for the first time over the summer and then played through the entire series and all the story DLC's within a couple weeks. I actually cried at the end of the final story DLC because everything comes together so perfectly and it's such an emotional conclusion.
I took out my ps3 when i got my ps4 and i only have fallout 4 and i have played it for a month and i'm bored of it but i don't have money to buy a new game
Andrew Forte I cried at the end of infinite. I didn't realize how deep the game was. When the last piano notes played the last seconds of the game and Elizabeths disappeared simultanously with them, I instantly got tears. About an hour after that I was rethinking the whole game.
"No gods or kings. Only man." I find this statement very interesting considering the state of Rapture or any other civilization that claims to adhere to it. Rapture ended in chaos. Many places in the world today are reigned by chaos. All these places have one thing in common, as far as I understand it: people made it so. I'm not saying claiming to follow a religion would have away with these issues; after all, God wouldn't be there to control them in person, so it'd still be left up to if the people believe in the ones who are set to lead them. Believers have a tendency to claim they know God's will for their society, but refuses to acknowledge that agency and free will is a human right for many and should be one for all, something I believe God respects fully. Whether people believe he exists or not, we have a way with using scare-tactics to put ourselves above others because somehow it's about God but it's really about what we want. There, senseless tirade over and done with.
Yeah but it wasn't very good the original idea sounded miles better the final product felt way too generic and the ending was pretty weak. It really fell short since they ended up rushing it.
I did it wasn't very fun to me. I'm much more interested in Columbia considering the whole base game takes place there. Rapture is sort of old news unless they dedicated a whole game to the civil war that broke out there and I consider the dlc a lazy way of showing that part of Rapture's downfall.
Mister Shadow dude the ending was so mind bendingly good.. The fact there was deeper meaning to it all just gave it that extra layer..Hey each to there own I guess but I loved infinite
The best way for me to discribe how much I love Bioshock is for me to first express how much I hate playing first person perspective game. I have no problems if other people like them but to me they have always been the worst piece of crap I've played. No matter how often I gave them a chance I couldn't get into them. I just cant connect to not seeing my character move in the environment. But then there was Bioshock, which was yet another fpp game I was giving a chance and just the opening managed to do something no other fpp game managed: It totally drew me into the world and I didn't feel the discomfort I usually feel playing fpp at all. I just had to continue to see where all this was leading too. And boy was it a great ride. I still cannot get into many fpp games, which is kind of a pity because it appears I'm missing out on some great games. But dammit Bioshock is a whole different piece of gaming/art and I loved every second of it.
BioShock has depth and breadth of story coupled with excellent gameplay and level design. Your drawn in from the intriguing beginning all the way through to the shocking end. A marvel of gaming
"...made me think about how the world works..." so damn accurate!! That's BioShock for us! I really love your animation btw. It's not only on point but it's also so expressive and unique. Really. love. it.
I really like this series, I dont think it gets the love it deserves. I know you guys probably have tons of ideas for future episodes, but I feel like a 'What Made Halo Great?' would be pretty cool.
Tom Butler Ah, my mistake. I obviously thought you were referring to the Bioshock series. I hereby retract my comment and through my support behind your original comment. This is a great series.
i actually just recently bought the bioshock collection since it had been years since i played bioshock and i forgot that all three make up one of my favorite game series of all time
I think the quotes in Bioshock Infinite were really pretentious tbh, none of them are really relevant to the human mind but seek to WOW you. It's dumb writing
Matthew Luevanos not really they are interesting when you know about them more and more. Excluding the "BOOKER ARE YOU AFRAID OF GOD QOUTE" They all point to the core story of the game
See that's what I appreciate about gameranx, they put in the extra effort. They could have just edited a few clips of game play and dubbed over it and that would have worked well too but I just love that they done their own animation for this and adapted to the style of bio shock so go on you guys for that.
Bioshock has so many details, all the game series, the main story is superb, the characters, the music, the enviroment, the special efects that event today looks so well, the side stories , everything. I just love Bioshock and I don't even know if I could love it even more. It's pure art!
I recently replayed Bioshock 1 again, and I have to say I was floored by how smooth it felt and how it has held up. I haven't played it since its released back on 360 years ago and I remember as a teen feeling like it slogged on and had a sour aftertaste with it but now that I'm older and really re-lived it again I feel it was a masterpiece of its time. I can see now why its spawned a series. And honestly I feel that Bioshock 1 is the best in the Trilogy.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Bioshock series and hearing someone express what i felt about it with better words (im not a native english speaker) made me very happy, the video and analogy was perfect, it is truly a work of art.
I like to think they follow the elements rapture is water, Columbia air and they will follow the earth and fire (maybe a community in a volcanic area etc.)
mynthecooldude Actually, Rapture was built in 1946 per a model you see near the entrance. The Art Deco style used came from the 1930s...and yes, it was 1960 in the original game.
1) The art/setting 2) The exploration 3) The mystery. 1 is huge... the game was visually pleasing, but also seeing a city underwater that looks like it's from the 1930s was just awesome. Toss in a little steampunk and some gigantic needles... you've got yourself a sweet game.
How did I miss this video?! Went straight to my PS library and starting to dowload the collection. Got it on PLUS but never played back in the day, I got MGS fever 😂❤🎉 Awsome Falcon, as always, even 6 years ago 🎉
Bioshock masterfully blends story telling and gameplay so seamlessly. There’s barely any cutscenes and for the most part watching the world, story and characters play out in gameplay.
Gam, he was using an outdated term for the leg as an analogy for the strength and complicated nature of the game. Or maybe he mispoke and the editors missed it.
This franchise was a first that I truly cared to connect with, complete and replay over and over again just to find the things I miss during many replays. Truly fantastic game art in every sense!
for the love of god, please don't make me play the game for the 15th time...i'm prepping up for newer games & my Netflix list is getting longer by the month...
I just replayed the first Bioshock recently because it was remastered, and I have to say that there is no other game like it. It is just so... Amazing. The world just pulls you into it.
I have the Bioshock collection but honestly I don't know if I want to play infinite. After learning about all the stuff they cut out and how good it could have been it just makes me upset even thinking about the game. The only reason I would play it honestly is so I could say I have played all the Bioshock games. And I like 100% completing my games with dlc and all. So I would probably be just rushing through it.
Depends on what you care about most, I enjoyed the gunplay far more in Infinite and that's what you're doing most of the time. The visuals alone in Infinite are a sight to behold while playing especially on PC. I went into the game pretty much blind which is why I think I ended up liking it as much as I did. In a situation like yours I think the best option is just go in with low expectations so you might be surprised.
Kra88ypa77yJR Infinite is the king of Bioshock for myself. The visuals alone are a sight to behold, and the narrative and love you'll grow to feel for Booker and Elizabeth is something you won't forget anytime soon. It's fast-paced, intense, violent, original, beautiful, and as complete of a single player game you could hope to experience. It's a completely different vibe and ambience than the original Bioshock, but that is in no way saying it's inferior. I've played through Bioshock 1 & 2 around 6 times each, and I've played through Infinite 13 times. Just saying lol. Absolutely play it as soon as humanly possible.
1 probably has best story, Infinite probably best gameplay (the 2 weapons is a pain tho). I finished in two days without rushing, so if you can start a game and not immediately need 100% you could always give it a go on easy (i'm not saying you're not skill,ed, i have no clue, just that it makes it go faster without rushing) and see if you like it. However if you must 100% every game you start, then i can understand hesitance.
One of the most memorable games I've ever played. The settings were completely immersible and the story believable. The story unfolded at a perfect pace. Outstanding games.
I think one of the main reasons why i loved playing bioshock was that i really felt like i could be in the middle of a book. Such detail, such suspense, such a "you earn your way" not through hand-holding kind of progression. You can tell Bioshock was made by people who really dreamed that world into reality
Gamer Guy they cut so much of the game, that the final product was just dry bread, go check out "content removed from Bioshock infinite, or beta Bioshock to see what I mean..
Bioshock Infinite was a step back in gamemechanics and comparing it to the first gameplay trailers it was a total disappointment. The atmosphere can nowhere compete with Bioshock 1 and 2. Its sad that Infinite ended this franchise and the dlc was a really forced connection to the first one.
Absolutely loved Bioshock, I enjoyed the whole series personally. This montage you created to explain how well done the game is, is brilliant. - Salute
In Bioshock 2, it was so damn difficult to harvest the little sisters. Everytime i would pick them up after they collected adam, they would say such pure things. The way the smiled and acted towards you (after you kill their protector) made me get attached in the short time of being with them. And the overall character of Delta was so amazing. You start to become Delta and understand his perspective. I love Bioshock 2.
Too bad Infinite was the greatest flaw in video game development history. An incredibly awful game. Instead of being a fun game it's more interested in trying to come across as intelligent, were as every 12 year old is sitting there drooling over how ''awesome'' the ending is, while everyone over 20 with a tiny bit of common sense just thought.. ''.. are you fucking kidding me with this shit?!'' And regardless of how they must have spent most of the development on that M. Night Shyamalan ending which turned to shit, they obviously spent a lot of time on the scenery and environment, but then have you spend 95% of the game shooting on hordes of enemies, which makes it feel like any shooter out there. Bioshock 1 and 2 had pretty good trailers, but turned out to be ground breaking games, while Infinite had incredible trailers, it turned out to be a shit show of casual nonsense. And then those who enjoyed it tell me: ''well, you obviously didn't understand the story..'' which makes me almost pull my hair out. I understood it, and it was an awful ending tailored towards casual player, and that's why you enjoyed it. It's an FPS blockbuster cliche that broke the fan base of the first two games and welcomed newcomers to a revolutionary defect in video game history. But to be honest, I would have enjoyed the game if it simply didn't have ''Bioshock'' in the title, that's what all my arguments are for, and it could have been an alright game with a cliche ending, if it would have simply been named as'' Infinite.''
Windsbee Spoken with the same holier than thou tone of snobs. Try this William Blake quote on for size if you want to understand why Infinite got it's title: "If the doors of man's perceptions were cleansed, he would see all things as they are: infinite." FYI, I'm over 40 and had less trouble than your overtaxed intellect did in keeping up.
Windsbee just because it's different doesn't mean it's automatically "bad." the style and characters and story drew me into Infinite, while the first two games were more of a desperate struggle to survive. both enjoyable, just for different reasons. casual? sure, but again that's not strictly "bad." it's not like 1 and 2 were some exclusive gaming experience to other shooters, it just had unique atmosphere. i will agree that the whole "alternate universe" ending was very unecessary. its like Assassin's Creed: their time periods and gameplay are interesting enough, it doesn't NEED this whole sci-fi thing going on.
Johnathon Haney - Did I ever question why Infinite was named ''Infinite''? I argued that that name ''Bioshock'' in the title makes no sense because the game has nothing to do with the previous games in the series, except the multiverse ''always a man, always a lighthouse'' theory, resulting in people being disappointed. Did you really reply to the right comment? Aaand once again another Infinite drooler who argues that everyone who dislikes the game must not have gotten the story straight, like I argued in my very first comment. Good job proving my point, if this even was the right post you wanted to reply to, because your first argument makes zero sense, so I am confused as to what you really are trying to achieve here.
Windsbee Nothing to do with the previous games...except for the part about an isolated city-state, pseudo-scientific magic powers, a hostile populace, self-indulgent propaganda that hides the truth, a reclusive founder pushing a morally bankrupt ideology and advanced anachronistic technologies used to fuel oppression that eventually leads to social breakdown and collapse. Sure sounds like Bioshock to me, numbnuts. You wanna try again? Oh and my achievement is making you look like the thoughtless twit you come off as.
This will sound weird but whenever falcon does a video i always find it hard to click off and watch someth8ng else his voice is just so satisfying to listen to
The original Bioshock was way overrated for me. Fun and atmospheric but overrated. 1. You could kill a simple splicer at the beginning of the game with your machine gun with just a few shots but by the end of the game you need to empty an entire clip into a splicer to do the same without any indication that the late game splicers are more durable. 2. You can light a puddle of gasoline on fire, wait for it to burn out and then light it up again... 3. Andrew Ryan spent most of a level trying to keep you away and when you catch up to him he has the ability to control you but makes you kill him instead of yourself. Seems like drama for the sake of drama. 4.They used a female splicer model for Tenenbaum instead of a unique model which felt like the developers were trying to cut corners. 5. If you zap an enemy with electrobolt directly it does zero damage but when you zap the pool of water they're standing in it does massive damage?! 6. Enemy splicer dialogue seemed overacted and immature at times. It was much better in Bioshock 2. 7. Enemy splicer models seemed cartoonish with their overly large heads. Again it was better in Bioshock 2.
rlam905 Objection to 3...Ryan did what he did to accomplish two things. First, he wanted to die, as his dream was nothing but a city of ruins. Second, he did it in a way to convince himself that he wasn't the slave to his paranoia, ego and power thirst he actually was. It was a fittingly pathetic ending to a thoroughly broken man.
3) That was more of a way for him to show Jack we has indeed mind controlled. Definitive proof, so to speak. 4) So? You never really do get an in-depth look at her, so it doesn't matter. 5) It does a bit of damage, however it's still meant as a stun ability, not damage dealing one (except for water)
Absolutely without a doubt one of my favorite games ever made, just the sheer attention to detail in the world building combined with one of the greatest twists in gaming history and a great story to boot just solidifies and reinforces the mark it left on me so many years ago. I honestly just want to forget this game so I can play it over and over again and keep getting my mind blown. Bioshock is a master class on what makes a game great, highest respect for this.
Yo! @gameranx gameranx y'all never stop with the meaningful content. It's just like having a favorite TV show that comes out with one or two new episodes a day! So fucking rad! Love y'all and thank you for doing what you do!

Like this is by far the only game i will always go back too and still be surprised by the ending and still enjoy, theres never a dull moment. I just can't express how much i adore this game. Bravo, Bravo!*
This game is indeed a piece of gaming history, even after playing dozens of epic games ever since this came out, rarely have I felt so compelled to play/read/listen to anything as with BioShock. The game is an experience every gamer should try in their lifetime. A true art form masterpiece.
I finally played all 3 for the first time a couple of weeks ago, I cried. Seeing everything come full circle and how everything was predetermined and how it all just flowed. As someone who studied psychology and philosophy, the term "constants and variables" hit me like a brick in this game. It was well crafted and yeah Bioshock 1 had flaws in the game play, but man of it wasn't a joyride all the way through.
Bioshock is one of my favorite narrative driven shooters of all time, and has one of the best plot twists I have ever played through. A plot twist that shows a certain level of mastery for video game writing

Bioshock couldn’t have worked as well as a movie or book bc the atmosphere will never be as perfect as it is in a video game
That moment in the 1st Bioshock where you pick up the shotgun off the wooden floor and the lights turn off.....EPIC.
slickcross that was so scary for me
Or the moment when you pick up that one plasmid at the dentist
Bioshock 1 was scary
Now, would you kindly make a fourth game ? thanks
They r working in another bioshock
filimon prig ps3 limitations😔
Morza Ik I’m late but for real? If so fucking awesome☺️
@@andygutierrrez1136 yeah, devs confirmed it but its probably releasinv in 2 yrs.... Or at least id think in 2yrs
Hahaha, would you kindly... The words atlas used to fool the principal character
I would love to see BioShock as a movie 🎥
No
OUTSID3R yes i would 👍🏼🎥
Same but they might ruin it
Lollipop gurl as much as I would like to see a BioShock movie I would have to say no because they did a assassin's Creed movie and it was suppose to be a action adventure, storyteller but instead we gotten crap out of that movie I would hate to see BioShock fall under a bunch of amateurs who don't even know the games main story.
Kappa
To be honest there it isn't a single FPS game that can compete with Bioshock in terms of writing, creativity and character development.
#Facts
Moon Door I agree with you!
what are you talking about, character development was non existent from the beginning. By the end, all the characters were the same as they were in the beginning. In terms of writing, it was non existent also until the end of the game, which wasn't even that good of writing to be honest. It's just a watered down multiverse theory that seems complicated when in fact, it really isn't
Just my opinion
Do you even Deus Ex?
The same
There was character development? Everyone pretty much stuck to their one note the whole game. It was based on a book so that takes down the creativity a notch. Honestly, cant remember anything spectacular about the story other than than " a man chooses, a slave obeys."
"Have you ever tried it? If no, Try it!" After spoiling almost every important part of the story from the videogame. Well played Falcon, wonderfully played.
Played through it 5 times.
thanks to this video now im gona do the 6th one.
crispx19ye I went through them a lot my favorite franchise
i should replay it one more time
I got Bioshock Infinite second hand and it's my favorite FPS game.
I played bioshock infinite before bioshock 1 and never was able to play bioshock 2 but the colours were so vibrant in bioshock infinite that when i played bioshock 1 i was too scared to play it. ;-;
MCFraggs 1 has the best story 2 has the best gameplay infinite is like a mix of both but 1 is the best
Eastern Eggs Unboxing Have you played the Buried at Sea dlc?
"No gods or kings. Only man."
I find this statement very interesting considering the state of Rapture or any other civilization that claims to adhere to it.
Clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap..... Well said, very well said........... That is so true for so many people, and things...........
I do wish we could've gotten that version of Bioshock Infinite that was more horror like. Would've been awesome.
Mister Shadow I liked the change of pace.
Yeah but it wasn't very good the original idea sounded miles better the final product felt way too generic and the ending was pretty weak. It really fell short since they ended up rushing it.
Play the DLC. Is fucking superb
San Juan Horst Probably it's greatest achievement, taking the least story-friendly game genre and making a Twilight Zone style story out of it.
Bee hands!
Big daddies!!

I love how this was drawn out
I would love a tell tale BioShock game set during or before the fall of rapture
GamOholic spartan that actually sounds like a really good idea to me
You can if you have the dlc in Bioshock Infinite
Masquerade party massacre simulator 2018
FaZeBooce thats not really rapture tho
Burial at sea.
BioShock has depth and breadth of story coupled with excellent gameplay and level design. Your drawn in from the intriguing beginning all the way through to the shocking end. A marvel of gaming
*beats Bioshock yesterday*
"You know it'd be pretty funny if gameranx uploaded a Bioshock video tomorrow"
I heart ❤ Fallout and Bioshock!!!😘😍❤
I heart heart Fallout and Bioshock too. Heart kiss, heart eyes, heart, as well.
Derrick Jee
Love you friend! Have a wonderful life aswell!
Ugh.
Derrick Jee
lol later! Bye
Watch my boy oxhorn than
Bioshock infinite burial at sea is the only game were I actually cried at the ending.
R a b i d S A N G H E I L I The only reasonable reaction...such a noir ending where the circle finally closes.
One of the best ways to end a game. Burial at sea was everything that made bioshock.
Same here. That and Red Dead Redemption.
God this. Red Dead Redemption came close, but Burial at Sea actually made me cry.
R a b i d S A N G H E I L I So you've never played Red Dead Redemption. How sad. You must.
Bio Shock underappreciated? Really?
Evan Fields oh, I was referring to this video series, the 'What Made it Great?' Series
Tom Butler
Ah, my mistake. I obviously thought you were referring to the Bioshock series. I hereby retract my comment and through my support behind your original comment. This is a great series.
What made Halo great? Easy. It spawned Red vs Blue.
i actually just recently bought the bioshock collection since it had been years since i played bioshock and i forgot that all three make up one of my favorite game series of all time
Booker, are you afraid of god?
NO... But im afraid of you....
Transistor Express "the mind of the subject will keep making memories which none exist"
-Rosalind Lutece
I loved Infinite but the first one was my favorite
I think the quotes in Bioshock Infinite were really pretentious tbh, none of them are really relevant to the human mind but seek to WOW you. It's dumb writing
Matthew Luevanos not really they are interesting when you know about them more and more. Excluding the "BOOKER ARE YOU AFRAID OF GOD QOUTE"
They all point to the core story of the game
Matthew Luevanos or the twist shall i say
See that's what I appreciate about gameranx, they put in the extra effort. They could have just edited a few clips of game play and dubbed over it and that would have worked well too but I just love that they done their own animation for this and adapted to the style of bio shock so go on you guys for that.
The storytelling
I still remember that feeling I got when I played the demo.
I loved every bioshock game and how the story tied in with Infinite. All are masterpieces in their way.
Bioshock has so many details, all the game series, the main story is superb, the characters, the music, the enviroment, the special efects that event today looks so well, the side stories , everything. I just love Bioshock and I don't even know if I could love it even more. It's pure art!
Ohh, it's a Utopi-uhhhh wtf is happening here man
That was one of my first thoughts.
Is it just me or does Falcon say "Game" weirdly....?
GAYUM is how he says it, he fails the speech skill
I thoroughly enjoyed the Bioshock series and hearing someone express what i felt about it with better words (im not a native english speaker) made me very happy, the video and analogy was perfect, it is truly a work of art.
still one of my all time favorite shooters. I just love the setting of the art deco city being underwater
BioShock is one of my favorite games! The animation was so much fun!
What made jak and daxter great?
I enjoyed renegade back in the day, that game was awesome.
Jump-rolling, jump-rolling, jump-rolling, *JUMP-SLAM*, jump-rolling, jump-rolling, roll, spin attack
Rinse. Repeat. Satisfying.
Nothing
everything graphics gameplay it was awesome
Loved the racing
my favorite game of all time, ever since i first played it when i was like 13
A city in the ocean, a city in the sky... Mark my words, there will next be a city in space!
City under the ground don't forget
I like to think they follow the elements rapture is water, Columbia air and they will follow the earth and fire (maybe a community in a volcanic area etc.)
And I hope the next game remembers to mock Disney's "Tomorrowland" movie...
Prey = Bioshock in Space
@@iCYpReSSv1 Prey = Bioshock in space... but shit.*
This is my favourite type of video
Falcons satisfying voice just talking in depth on why games are amazing
Will always be watching these
"Is it a perfect game? N--" YES
This video hit me in the feels. You did an amazing job analyzing an amazing game.
It's the 60s
mynthecooldude Actually, Rapture was built in 1946 per a model you see near the entrance. The Art Deco style used came from the 1930s...and yes, it was 1960 in the original game.
mynthecooldude
love me some jazz
Bioshock 1960, Bioshock 2 1968, and Bioshock Infinite 1912. Andrew Ryan built Rapture in the late 1940s to 50s. That's why he said that.
gotta love retro themed games
1) The art/setting 2) The exploration 3) The mystery.
1 is huge... the game was visually pleasing, but also seeing a city underwater that looks like it's from the 1930s was just awesome. Toss in a little steampunk and some gigantic needles... you've got yourself a sweet game.
2:52 "this is a gaem"
How did I miss this video?! Went straight to my PS library and starting to dowload the collection. Got it on PLUS but never played back in the day, I got MGS fever 😂❤🎉 Awsome Falcon, as always, even 6 years ago 🎉
this game is at the same level with halo or any other cult franchise
I love that all I have to do is read the title and I know it's going to be a video by falcon!!!
Why can’t we get another bioshock 😭😭
Bioshock 4 announced this week
Bioshock masterfully blends story telling and gameplay so seamlessly. There’s barely any cutscenes and for the most part watching the world, story and characters play out in gameplay.
this is a gamme 2:54
Gaem
Glados well no duh
Gam, he was using an outdated term for the leg as an analogy for the strength and complicated nature of the game. Or maybe he mispoke and the editors missed it.
This franchise was a first that I truly cared to connect with, complete and replay over and over again just to find the things I miss during many replays. Truly fantastic game art in every sense!
for the love of god, please don't make me play the game for the 15th time...i'm prepping up for newer games & my Netflix list is getting longer by the month...
Bioshock has one of the best worlds to explore
I only played the sky one I guess it was called infinite. But I'm thinking of trying the first one
Ach Hadda Do that. Get 2 as well but play the original first for context.
Plz play 1 then go back n play the dlc foe "3"
Please do, the first one was amazing
I just replayed the first Bioshock recently because it was remastered, and I have to say that there is no other game like it. It is just so... Amazing. The world just pulls you into it.
The first Bioshock felt overrated to me. NOW KNACK! DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED! That's. a. mother. fucking. MASTERPIECE!
papitas de mexico With a mindset like that im surprised you even know what a gaming system is.
Here comes the moneeeeey
MetaWulfTV Why you gotta come here and be like that?
it's actually a knackstapiece
lalo 1245567899413 knack 2 and Destiny 2 are two different types of games
Bioshock is such an amazing game. I love going back and replaying it every now and then.
Kra88ypa77yJR bro, its not a masterpiece, but it still was one of the best games last gen. Definitely worth a playthrough if u love bioshock
Kra88ypa77yJR I really enjoyed Infinite, you should play it.
Gameranx is my big daddy 😏
I think one of the main reasons why i loved playing bioshock was that i really felt like i could be in the middle of a book. Such detail, such suspense, such a "you earn your way" not through hand-holding kind of progression. You can tell Bioshock was made by people who really dreamed that world into reality
Infinite was my least favorite in the series and overall as a game
Gamer Guy did u play the dlc???
Carl Mosely Jr dlc doesn't change how I feel about the base game
Infinite was my personal favorite. Just my 2c.
Beat game ever start to finish I’m still in love with the masterpiece to this day
I don't understand nothing
Derek Hearne so he understands everything!
Absolutely loved Bioshock, I enjoyed the whole series personally. This montage you created to explain how well done the game is, is brilliant. - Salute
A city, at the bottom of the ocean? What a joke
Windsbee
just because it's different doesn't mean it's automatically "bad." the style and characters and story drew me into Infinite, while the first two games were more of a desperate struggle to survive. both enjoyable, just for different reasons. casual? sure, but again that's not strictly "bad." it's not like 1 and 2 were some exclusive gaming experience to other shooters, it just had unique atmosphere. i will agree that the whole "alternate universe" ending was very unecessary. its like Assassin's Creed: their time periods and gameplay are interesting enough, it doesn't NEED this whole sci-fi thing going on.
Plus, to be fair, the greatest flaw in video game development history is Mighty No. 9. Nobody can deny that dumpster fire.
Again it was better in Bioshock 2.
rlam905 seems like you're bitching about a game being a game to be honest
And the "hacking" minigame
rlam905 Objection to 3...Ryan did what he did to accomplish two things. First, he wanted to die, as his dream was nothing but a city of ruins. Second, he did it in a way to convince himself that he wasn't the slave to his paranoia, ego and power thirst he actually was. It was a fittingly pathetic ending to a thoroughly broken man.
rlam905
ya make good points.
This is beautiful. please do more of this style of videos.
This was really well made! Great job LaughterCraft.
I love how it combines action with horror. It works really well :)
¡Bienvenido El Ammo Bandito!
Loved walking up to those machines...
*Holy Carp when i played this game i was sooo hypnotized and just drawn in by its art and characters. Like this is by far the only game i will always go back too and still be surprised by the ending and still enjoy, theres never a dull moment. I just can't express how much i adore this game. Bravo, Bravo!*
BountyNova plz no more bold...
Swampy Swamperton lol my bad I just figured out how to do it lmfao
This game is indeed a piece of gaming history, even after playing dozens of epic games ever since this came out, rarely have I felt so compelled to play/read/listen to anything as with BioShock. The game is an experience every gamer should try in their lifetime. A true art form masterpiece.
gameranx you're one of my favorite subs and i love this series also muchas gracias senor for this episode.
Bioshock and its sequels are still some of my favorite games ever, and the remastered ones just look so damn good.
I'm actually playing Bioshock 1 on the PS4 right now lmao. Great timing Gameranx👍🏾
Good video love the music and Falcon's tone through out the video
I finally played all 3 for the first time a couple of weeks ago, I cried. Seeing everything come full circle and how everything was predetermined and how it all just flowed. As someone who studied psychology and philosophy, the term "constants and variables" hit me like a brick in this game. It was well crafted and yeah Bioshock 1 had flaws in the game play, but man of it wasn't a joyride all the way through.
"please try it" the announcer says after revealing one of the biggest twists of video game history
Bioshock is one of my favorite narrative driven shooters of all time, and has one of the best plot twists I have ever played through. A plot twist that shows a certain level of mastery for video game writing
great commentary Falcon, you've really stepped up the quality of your analysis with this one
My favorite game ever, I've played it over so many times and I still love reading into the story.
