You forgot one. In the asylum you have to pull a lever and once you do and turn around there is a boy of silence right behind you. This replicates a moment from Bioshock, where in you find yourself in the hospital and you enter a surgery room. You can search a table and once you turn around there is a spliced up surgeon right behind you. Both will immediately attack. This most likely insinuates that these moments happen at the same time in both universes.
I remember encountering that boy of silence. I went to move backwards, and realized something was behind me. I then proceeded to turn around and completely shit my pants.
I agree that it is probably a nod to that moment in Bioshock 1 but it can't happen at the same time as Bioshock is set in 1960, Bioshock Infinite occurs in 1912 so quite a gap I'm afraid.
Honestly Infinite's story is pretty lacking. Bioshock 1 or System Shock 2 are old, but much better. If you think that time travel is what made the plot gripping then I suggest watching Donnie Darko. It takes that plot base much more creatively than "you are the bad guy from an alternate future" did. And for some reason both Bioshock and Donnie Darko have covers of Tears for Fears being important in them?
When you meet the twins trying to play the songbird tune on a piano, if you wait for a while instead of taking the paper, they'll play a different tune..
When you get your first Shield/Salt/Health upgrade, try melee attacking Rosalind Lutece and all attacks will go through her, and she mocks the player saying "Miss" or "You Missed". She has quite a variation of voiceovers for that line, so it's quite amusing to do.
Booker DeWitt The none-too-subtle implication of superiority in this statement is ignorant at best. Firstly, it is nowhere near accurate to say that a person of at least mild intellectual capacity (that is, someone who enjoys a well-crafted story set in a fantastically intricate world/universe) is a lonely, unkempt basement dweller. Secondly, it is nowhere near accurate to assume that a lonely, unkempt basement dweller is lesser than yourself. I would clarify those points, but you wouldn't understand the reasoning (praise be to 'murica). It may be of importance to note that you chose Booker DeWitt as your handle, publicly acknowledging your preference for this game over multiplayer games, thus making you a pot-bellied basement dweller. Good luck with your voice-over work, and your receding hairline.
I think that the last extra ending after the credits is a tribute to the experiment Schrödingers cat since you cant prove that Anna is in her bed or not, therefor she is both. (look it up, it's proof to the multi-dimension theori which the BioShock infinite game is all about).
+Isac Andersson Comstock nods to Schrodinger in one of the voxophone recordings. [ refering to baptism ] "Perhaps that swimmer is both sinner and saint, until he is revealed unto the eyes of man."
Likewise what the other guy said you don’t know if you kept her or sold her you don’t know if you comstocked or bookered it. But for one moment you don’t know so you’re at peace
It is a reference indeed, In the original Bioshock or Bioshock 2(I can’t remember) there’s a part in the game where you enter a freezer and inside it you can find a dead frozen cat with the legend “schrödinger” on it, so yes, that theory’s been around in the games a while ago
***** Well, especially after Burial at Sea ep.2 where they explain the relationship between elizabeth and songbird in more detail, you can tell they definitely had a more personal relationship, rather than songbird simply being programmed to defend her. That being said he was made to protect her aswell so i'm sure that played some sort of part in it.
I think Bioshock Infinite is a unique game, with a beautiful visual & storyline, to me more than Bioshock or System Shock series. Yet the game still feel underrated to most gamers.
Technically no since someone is retroactively stealing it though even still, they aren't plagerizing Fink, they just happen to be thinking of the same lyrics.
it intersects different, its not only out of the future but can also be out of an other dimension, so it would never exist in the dimension booker and liz are inso who knows?
OI! AT 22:12 THAT IS NOT THE WHOLE EASTER EGG! 451 is a nod to Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. This is also suggested by "Firemen" being people that light fires instead of stop them, which is a main point of the book.
I had vaguely heard of BioShock before the Collection, even watched this video before I got into it. Now I'm in absolute love with the franchise. So, yeah, I'm here.
The Collection was the worst set of remasters I have ever seen. The only good thing they did was remove the physics frame capper in 1 and 2. In the remastered Bioshock 1 and 2, the texture quality was inconsistent, the lighting was worse than the original versions, and there was reported to be loads of crashes in the remastered Bioshock 2.
This was awesome! All the easter eggs were put in the game very carefully and every single detail in the bioshock games has its own reason. That's why I love this series!
25:00 That's actually a really amazing way to pinpoint the point in time when Booker and Liz appear in Rapture. Now everytime I replay Bioshock and get to the piano part, I'll think "Ah, Booker and Liz are here!".
yep.. all the events that led up to it where booker sees the baptism that turned him into comstock, the visuals, background music. gotta put my everything to try to hold back the tears.
The Saddest parts were 1-Little Sister crying near Big Daddy. She is vulnerable, defenseless, and is scared 2-Songbird's death. His green eyes before he died showed he was happy. There's a theory going around with evidence that Songbird( "Booker") is trying to protect Elizabeth from main character Booker
It's not theory, it's plain fact. The ending shows that booker and Comstock are the same person and that comstock/future booker is using songbird to protect Elizabeth from his past self aka present booker. That's why our booker is the "false shepard" because Comstock (future booker) is trying to prevent his past self (our booker) from taking his daughter back.
so i think it is important to notice that the big daddy and the little sister are a mirror of songbird and Elizabeth. When song bird dies, Elizabeth walks off, and you are left seeing the little sister mourning the big daddy's death. Elizabeth also mourns songbirds death.
True, but the Soft Cell version is arguably more popular and they used a lot of songs from the early 1980s, so maybe it's their version Fink covered maybe it's not.
Le Denis What are you talking about their version? It is the exact same song because Soft Cell covered it from Gloria Jones. The popularity of a cover does not change the original artist of a song
Something worth noting; in Alone in the dark 2 ( originally released in 1993, ) 2 of the books in game mention Booker Dewitt, Elizabeth Comstock and their relationship. So either those 2 names have some kind of historical significance or 2k borrowed the names for Bioshock infinite.
This game makes 'The Last of Us' look like a trip to the park. Better in every single way. Graphics, A.I, story, characters, everything. A work of art.
+The Zachvolt cause Bioshock. i think the whole series, doesn't get the amount of attention it deserves. also Irriational Games, the developer of Bioshock Infinite. their studio has been closed in 2014 which is just after ps4 and xone have been released
What this doesn't mention is that the "Revenge of the Jedi" reference was actually a hidden spoiler: It hints at the fact that Booker is Elizabeth's father, as the huge reveal/plot twist of Return of the Jedi was that Vader was Leia's father. Subtle hints. Very subtle.
Mind-boggling how well put together this video is, the presentation of the EEs fits the theme of the game and feels authentic, research was obviously done aand it's well edited. Great work
When I saw that last post-credit scene, I chose to believe that Anna/Elizabeth was in her crib. I haven't played any of the DLC, but I like to think that Booker stuck with Anna after all, and there is a universe where Booker and Anna lived out their lives happily. And then died of the Spanish flu 20 years later, because everything was awful back then.
SPOILERS He is booker #137 because of the heads on chalk board which means he tried 136 times before to get Anna back but failed.... But Easter egg #23 aka last Easter egg in video has him after credits saying Anna is that you with baby music does this mean some how booker #137 finally succeeded correct me if I'm wrong. But I don't know any more this whole game is an absolute mind fuck
+Payton Shaw one question...did you count all the heads on the chalkboard? Im just curious....And about your theory, I have the same opinion, or i just want Booker to be finally happy and thats why i'd like to think he finally succeeded...
I love this game so much and I played the first two bioshocks all the way through. They really put their heart into making a great game. That's really the difference between giving a fuck and not giving one.
For me, the game was beautifully made. I still come back and watch all the videos just to relive the whole thing. With regards to the bit with Anna at the end, I like to think she's there. It actually makes me quite happy believing that she grew up to be an Elizabeth type character, but one with a better childhood and a father who (maybe is subconsciously aware of what had happened) cares for her. This is the only game so far that I have played that has invoked that level of emotion from me
It's not lost on me, having played the DLC, that Elizabeth is sadly watching as the Songbird sinks down while a Little Sister is weeping for her deceased Big Daddy in the background.
Haven't played this through again since shortly after it came out. Pretty much forgot everything in it, and most of my memories of it were foggy and incorrect. So I basically got to relive it for the 1st time again. Just wow... this game is so good. And it is beautiful too. Even if at times the models are rough around the edges, the art style is so beautiful. What a game.
Holy Cow! That second to last Easter Egg about Songbird's dying screeches being in Bioshock 1 literally gave me a chill and goosebumps. That is so awesome, of course I would have never put the two together since (obviously) I played 1 first, and months before Infinite was even out. That was about the only easter egg I didn't realize as I was playing Infinite.
+Greg Lyris most of the songs like that were arranged by Scott Bradley, he does a lot of stuff like that on his own with modern music along with his band Postmodern Jukebox
The siphon speakers, the huge speakers you come accross before meeting eliz are playing Everybody wants to rule the world. It takes a long time listening to them to hear it. Not necessary to speed it up or slow it down, its just distorted.
Now after conclusion, definitely one of the best game series of all times. Just finished "Episode 2" and everything is so tied up all the way to original BioShock that I kinda need to play it all again just because of the totally different perspective that was made by the conclusion (not saying its perfect though, I do think DLC´s could be made alot better but anyway...). Up next: Infinite series on 1999 mode, then the original BioShock playthrough on Hard 8-)
the bioshock series was one of the biggest kick in the pants for me that got me into gaming. I love all of them but infinite really takes the cake but I never realized how much attention they put into the music. in my opinion, every song sounds a lot better in Columbia than in reality. :)
**SUPER SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T BEATEN THIS GAME** I love how in the end, when the Songbird perishes, you see the Little Sister mourning over the deceased Big Daddy as Elizabeth slightly mourns over the Songbird. Just perfect, really.
I love how the makers of this game created a very valid excuse to use music from the future in a game that is set in the past from where the music is actually set (if that makes any sense, time travel is weird man)
I love the whole music and tears thing. It really tries to make two of different time periods and it rocks the hell out of it. In love the with the covers as well- so beautiful.
I don't know why, but that tear that emits the original Cyndi Lauper version at around 15:20 was one of the creepiest, most unnerving moments in the game for me. Despite having gone through some tears before that point, it wasn't until then that the extent of the unfathomable weirdness really dawned on me.
Exactly! That easter egg was the coolest in my opinion. If you were really involved in the games, it is kind of shocking to think that Jack was paying attention to the piano guy dying while another shocking event (songbird's death) was happening...
***** It's very probable as well, of course. I just like thinking it was actually done thinking "ahead of time". Makes me get more attached to the game d:
I wonder if they really did think that far ahead... And if they didn't, what was that noise supposed to be originally? I'd like to ask the guy who put it in.
I recently played Bioshock 1 again (Collection - PS4), and I noticed that the sound that sounds like Songbird's voice repeats SEVERAL TIMES in that area that Jack is in Bioshock 1, and in other areas as well.
I'm not sure if the second easter egg is really an easter egg. SPOILER ALERT: Knowing that the whole basis of the plot of the game surrounds around parallel universes the preacher and splicer could be the same person with the constant of being the greeter for the player
Yeah, by all accounts he should recognize Booker since he baptized him or attempted to in the past. I never thought of that till now but if he wasn't blind he would find it odd seeing 'Comstock' younger and just arriving in town but the blindness fixes it.
Not sure if anyone noticed, but this video is edited beautifully. I can tell you spent a lot of time on this video. Subscribed!

So glad you included the lady in Shanty Town who sings "Fortunate Son"
This game is awesome,i've decided to replay it again and it's nice to find some things i haven't noticed before.
Play The Last of Us, problem solved.
XoRandomGuyoX
Yeah, the last of us was awesome,i'd have to say that i prefer infinite but i think the last of us is close in how good it is.
Kimeters To each his own i guess, personally i found it far from lacking, but as i said everyone has their own opinion.
Kimeters System Shock 2? Is this some nerdy analogy for Bioshock 2?
When you meet the twins trying to play the songbird tune on a piano, if you wait for a while instead of taking the paper, they'll play a different tune..
When you get your first Shield/Salt/Health upgrade, try melee attacking Rosalind Lutece and all attacks will go through her, and she mocks the player saying "Miss" or "You Missed".
She has quite a variation of voiceovers for that line, so it's quite amusing to do.

The Songbird schreeching sound is so flippin' amazing. Holy shit.
This is the reason why I don't play multiplayer games anymore! It's a masterpiece!
Booker DeWitt
The none-too-subtle implication of superiority in this statement is ignorant at best.

You screwed yourself out of numerous good experiences because of bioshock infinite…?
In the "Speaker room" or Syphon room or whatever you wanna call it, before you meet elizabeth, she is humming "Everybody wants to rule the world."
to be honest i thought she was humming will the circle be unbroken well i meast up xD
i feel like crying every time i see the songbirds death
Ikr even thou he could be a dick sometimes
Hmmmm you might have a point
*****
Well, especially after Burial at Sea ep.2 where they explain the relationship between elizabeth and songbird in more detail, you can tell they definitely had a more personal relationship, rather than songbird simply being programmed to defend her. That being said he was made to protect her aswell so i'm sure that played some sort of part in it.
am i the only person who thinks songbird is cute?
Diogo Pinto I do wonder if Songbird was ever a human...then I think back to that Audio log about the Big Daddy crying over a little sisters death...
I think Bioshock Infinite is a unique game, with a beautiful visual & storyline, to me more than Bioshock or System Shock series. Yet the game still feel underrated to most gamers.
wait... so if you steal music from the future does that make the original artists the ones who reuse the music? God... my brain hurts.
BRING US THE GIRL, ANS WIPE AWAY THE DEBT.

+Falcondances Yeah. First time Elizabeth screams "Fireman!" made my day =)

who else is back because of the new Collection game ?
GronoTastic me, grabbed it on PC, best decision ever (caught it on sale for nearly $35.00
Dang, this was made before the remaster? I was wondering if the songbird screech was only in the remaster of bs1.
Me it's 26 of February and i am still playing it 😍
I've watched this video so many times, but I keep coming back to it because it's so well made and the Bioshock music is incredible.
This was awesome! All the easter eggs were put in the game very carefully and every single detail in the bioshock games has its own reason. That's why I love this series!
25:00
That's actually a really amazing way to pinpoint the point in time when Booker and Liz appear in Rapture. Now everytime I replay Bioshock and get to the piano part, I'll think "Ah, Booker and Liz are here!".
Man. That ending. Tears me up. 😢
pun meant to be?
yep.. all the events that led up to it where booker sees the baptism that turned him into comstock, the visuals, background music. gotta put my everything to try to hold back the tears.
Plasmids changed everything
Would you kindly
The Saddest parts were
1-Little Sister crying near Big Daddy. She is vulnerable, defenseless, and is scared
2-Songbird's death.
Tainted Love was actually recorded in 1964 by Gloria Jones.
True, but the Soft Cell version is arguably more popular and they used a lot of songs from the early 1980s, so maybe it's their version Fink covered maybe it's not.
that song was used for Gta San andreas i also liked that version.
Le Denis What are you talking about their version? It is the exact same song because Soft Cell covered it from Gloria Jones. The popularity of a cover does not change the original artist of a song
tgugz88 he doesnt know what he is talkinng about. Its all abouy Gloria Jones.
Something worth noting; in Alone in the dark 2 ( originally released in 1993, ) 2 of the books in game mention Booker Dewitt, Elizabeth Comstock and their relationship. So either those 2 names have some kind of historical significance or 2k borrowed the names for Bioshock infinite.
even Jeremiah Fink
BAM! Done, shared universe!
The replay value of the game is amazing with this graphics let alone the actual story they put behind this
This game makes 'The Last of Us' look like a trip to the park. Better in every single way. Graphics, A.I, story, characters, everything. A work of art.

So fink was giving subtle hints of meeting Suchong in Rapture even before the DLC, awesome!
There’s a reason why this is my favourite game of all time, the music renditions, setting, combat and story just makes it a perfect game for me
What this doesn't mention is that the "Revenge of the Jedi" reference was actually a hidden spoiler:
It hints at the fact that Booker is Elizabeth's father, as the huge reveal/plot twist of Return of the Jedi was that Vader was Leia's father.

SPOILERS
He is booker #137 because of the heads on chalk board which means he tried 136 times before to get Anna back but failed....
Makes sense to me. So yes. I'd say that was it.
Man I love this game so much it's so awesome!
+Patrick Huynh welcome to the club!
and still you can't comprehend the ending of this game
I love this game so much and I played the first two bioshocks all the way through. They really put their heart into making a great game. That's really the difference between giving a fuck and not giving one.
This is a great post, and the Shakespeare bit is really something else!
I noticed that too starstolen
Haven't played this through again since shortly after it came out. Pretty much forgot everything in it, and most of my memories of it were foggy and incorrect. So I basically got to relive it for the 1st time again. Just wow... this game is so good. And it is beautiful too. Even if at times the models are rough around the edges, the art style is so beautiful. What a game.
Amen! :D
i always loved that possession girl
+Brandon Lorenzo (Songbird) Me too xD
She's so cute!
Yup, her Possession has worked on you as well
MrBadassheavymetal it definitely has
And the raffle girl as well!
The "1912" version of "Tainted Love" is actually quite good i'd say
+Greg Lyris most of the songs like that were arranged by Scott Bradley, he does a lot of stuff like that on his own with modern music along with his band Postmodern Jukebox
the sound engineers must have been bloody lunatics!!
The siphon speakers, the huge speakers you come accross before meeting eliz are playing Everybody wants to rule the world. It takes a long time listening to them to hear it. Not necessary to speed it up or slow it down, its just distorted.
Thank you for posting these! Especially the scene with Booker playing the guitar and Elizabath singing!

Haha me2
the bioshock series was one of the biggest kick in the pants for me that got me into gaming. I love all of them but infinite really takes the cake but I never realized how much attention they put into the music. in my opinion, every song sounds a lot better in Columbia than in reality. :)
**SUPER SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T BEATEN THIS GAME**
I love how in the end, when the Songbird perishes, you see the Little Sister mourning over the deceased Big Daddy as Elizabeth slightly mourns over the Songbird.
Just perfect, really.
I liked those droning weird effects/noises at the rooftop chapters. They just added a sense of danger and sci-fi feeling to the scenery. Loved it.

I like this because you are looking for some clues. but when people are playing the game they don't want to look for clues.:D
Well done for making that observation!
Nivada Strikes 😂😂
I wish the guitar scene went on a little longer. Such a pretty voice. Such a wonderful moment in gaming.
:)
That may be true, but I would have liked to see it sung by Elizabeth in-game. Still a lovely voice, but I really do kinda have a thing for Elizabeth.
For some reason I just watch this video over and over again. It's so nicely edited and I prefer Bioshock Infinite's music over commentary for this. :3
I love how the makers of this game created a very valid excuse to use music from the future in a game that is set in the past from where the music is actually set (if that makes any sense, time travel is weird man)
I unlocked the 1999 mode by just beating the game o.o
You're supposed to. You can unlock it earlier via the code if you want :)
The Fireman is also from Fahrenheit 451; someone who starts fires instead of putting them out.
I love the whole music and tears thing. It really tries to make two of different time periods and it rocks the hell out of it. In love the with the covers as well- so beautiful.
At Finkton Docks, there's Chopin Nocturne Op.9 No.2. Bioshock Infinite really is awesome.
I don't know why, but that tear that emits the original Cyndi Lauper version at around 15:20 was one of the creepiest, most unnerving moments in the game for me. Despite having gone through some tears before that point, it wasn't until then that the extent of the unfathomable weirdness really dawned on me.
It was weird, awkward, and a bit funny at the same time for me! XD
I laughed my ass off, I thought it was the dev's have fun
the songbird easter egg planted in bioshock 1 is amazing, talk about thinking ahead of time...
Maybe there's multiple versions of them from different timelines. The seabed of Rapture might be littered with Songbirds :D
I'm not sure if the second easter egg is really an easter egg. SPOILER ALERT: Knowing that the whole basis of the plot of the game surrounds around parallel universes the preacher and splicer could be the same person with the constant of being the greeter for the player
Wait, that preacher who baptised me was blind.?!
Well, that explains alot.. 0_0
Yeah, by all accounts he should recognize Booker since he baptized him or attempted to in the past. I never thought of that till now but if he wasn't blind he would find it odd seeing 'Comstock' younger and just arriving in town but the blindness fixes it.
such a beautiful and emotionally touching game...
20:35 the behind the scenes for this can be seen on the credits at some point
