This song is perhaps my favorite song in the whole wide world. This brings for me back so many memories from when I was a teenager. I listened to this track over and over and over. Something about it brings me to tears if I really let it. It's really quite magical it has such a powerful effect on me. May peace be with everyone. I pray you find your path and something worth living for.
This track's name is perfect. The first minute or so is your life as it is, then suddenly... you're punched in the face with the distress and turbulent emotions associated with tragedy. It calms down for a few minutes as reality begins to sink in, then grief stabs you in the gut and makes you feel the hurt of loss.
In truth, instrumental music has its own beauty and God Is An Astronaut captures every bit of it. Their music always seems to say something in different ways to each individual.
people always talked to me about music generating emotions, but i never really understood what they meant until i listened to God is an Astronaut; now i understand completely..
so bittersweet. like any loss. you think you have time. and then life happens, everything comes to an end. it shatters your hopes. but still, life is a hopeful place.despite all the tragedies.
something about the sound this group just puts me in such a tranquil place. the vision they paint with their music is so vivid and powerful it makes me shake
For all those millions of stupid, unthoughtful, ignorant and unemotional comments which one can find at TH-cam, there are a few which are the exact opposite and may help to prevent humanity decaying completely. And this one is one of those few.
somehow, without words, this tune captures a lot of hope filled moods for me. Today (New years Eve) it's perfect "end of a year" music , it needs to be heard at devastating volume to work, sorry neighbours.
This music is so intense and meaningful. It's just a real piece of art, not only the music itself but also the title, which, in its simplicity, makes our own losses reemerge in our minds. One just can't listen to this epic song without questioning all of his/her actions and decisions in the process.
4:37 to 6:06 anyone else agree that part of the song is moving beyond comprehension? i honestly feel like i move into.. i don't know, an ethereal state? can't put it into words. it's just amazing.
i am just stating my opinion here....but i really feel that...this band and their songs can truly be appreciated only if you have faced real solitude in life..i may be wrong..but i feel this way..
everytime i wish i just could glide through the deepest minds of mine, hoping to find something peaceful. But i only felt chilled, laid back and watched into the endless eye of the sky, listening to this masterpiece.
This is PERFECT! The remastered version on Spotify is so freakin dull compared to this. How could someone in their right mind think that their remastered version was better than this? And yes, I'm aiming at whoever remastered it. What were you thinking...
Highly emotional & meaningful, not to listen if you're not feeling well enough (what I did some days ago-it teared me apart-the title didn't help either...thinking of someone in particular...), but this is so much like a song i'd love to have written, with even a lot of light in it, as hard as the beginning of my comment makes it hard to believe.... a-w-e-s-o-m-e...(thanks)
I love de first calm riff.... Then start the strong riff suddenly. When it comes back to the other calm riff I feel like the music lost something... It's all cool and calm again, but there is a loss in the melody. Really sweet
@youtooberdudebro Yeh this is good. Actually music in general is getting good again. This started happening when people started to realise that being 'cool' and 'good' are not necessarily the same thing
The first 6 minutes are pure Godly Astronautish delight. The rest 4 minutes are baffling me, is the windy atmosphere near towards the end a part of the song?
Our God is an almighty being that perhaps!! Created everything, pressed the play button, and left. May be watching us, maybe won't. But I believe that once you die, you go to a place of happiness. Not either to this giant gate or to a great fire pit. Idk I'm high.
I got a question. I just recently obtained the remastered version of this. Is it just me or is the unmastered version (this version) slightly better? I don't know, it might just be something I'm making up, but it would be cool to get some thoughts about this.
It's funny how people are moved to talk about God on here. Hilarious!!! GIAA has nothing to do with Christianity. So why not talk about the music? I love GIAA this is a great tune. Yet to see them live! Thanks for the upload.
Some people beg to forget. Some people don't remember. You acknowledge and respect: honor the lost, and quench your pain with the remnants of their timeless being, buried yet alive, deep within your very heart.
This isn't just music, this is a journey.
This is more then a journey. It's like a story told but with only instruments being played with different sounds adding to the story etc. :D
Hey, nice to see you have good taste in music. ;)
huh i love yer channel tbh
How exactly did i find u here lol
God Is An Astronaut always manages to amaze me with their music. It's truly defining "a picture paints a thousand words"
It doesn't only hit you, it shivers you, stretches you and in the end, you're just at a loss.
what a story this tells

Playing this track so much at the moment and you know what, i have a feeling it's one of them ones i will never get bored of.

This whole song makes me feel like I'm on an acid trip. Awesome band! I'm so happy I found it.
This is what music is supposed to be like - emotional and inspirational.
I hate when people call this boring.
Especially when their reason is that it doesn't have any lyrics.
It's fucking beautiful.
Awesome. Great!!!!!!!!!
Heard this song of late. God is an astronaut :') Never fails to amaze me. This is more than music. This is art. :)

i am just stating my opinion here....but i really feel that...this band and their songs can truly be appreciated only if you have faced real solitude in life..i may be wrong..but i feel this way..
I feel this song denotes sadness, but also resolution at the same time..
Zero dislikes as it should be. Fucking great song, my favourite God Is An Astronaut song by quite a margin.
this band is awesome,respect !!!

I know how you feel man. I once felt like I was going to sneeze, then didn't... I haven't slept more than a few hours each night in weeks.
this is serious music, thank you for sharing
Thank you for linking me to this song.
Nothing can describe this, ever, and i mean NOTHING i this damned universe can describe this.
best song ever

Indeed, there are peoples on Earth who think differently than you. That's not a problem mate, both versions have their strength! Just enjoy music :)
"Crying and thinking is all that I do. Memories I have remind me of you."
I just got a shiver down from my feet up to my neck, partly cause I left the window open and partly cause of this music.

The beauty in this song is the work of humans.

Por unos minutos saboree la eternidad 🙏
This is probably one of the deepest comments I've ever seen on youtube.
eargasm
is this loss?
This song makes me hyperventilate, aka it just steals my breath away. Every. Time.
The first 6 minutes are pure Godly Astronautish delight. The rest 4 minutes are baffling me, is the windy atmosphere near towards the end a part of the song?
This is my first time hearing this track.. it's amazing! How is the rest of the album? Something like this?
contemplation, apprehension, ascension, nirvana
Our God is an almighty being that perhaps!! Created everything, pressed the play button, and left. May be watching us, maybe won't. But I believe that once you die, you go to a place of happiness. Not either to this giant gate or to a great fire pit. Idk I'm high.
loss everything.

@Delirium1989
Do you know any other bands who sound like GIAA?
Some people beg to forget. Some people don't remember. You acknowledge and respect: honor the lost, and quench your pain with the remnants of their timeless being, buried yet alive, deep within your very heart.
Sanırım uçuyorum.
"(No copyright infringement intended, if i'm asked to take it down, i will)"
Dude, take this down, im asking you
2:56
ah. This music is PERFECT for coding!
if only if only
My point would be the humans always have the potential to sin if free will is in place, whether or not they would want to do it.
Why is Noisecontrollers in the suggestions? I love hardstyle but not after listening to this
🇮🇩♥🌏
What version of *Loss* this is?
indeed it is..music is art...though i have my own opinion about this song..as i commented two moths back...
