I heard a song of god is an astronaut, the song called point plesant, after that song i buyed every single album, i love this band. Another good postrockband id Long Distance Calling
this guys are just amazing!good music dont need any vocals!the music gives you the chance to sing your own lyrics in your mind.,everyone have a story..
Many songs of this band feel like a rock orchestra. The build up , the addition of long and subtle vocals gives the songs a space like ambient feel and their endings oh my god, they don't sound chaotic or loud they just make me feel a good vibe. So glad to have found out such talented and well made music
“Post rock” (the label/tag) is a clever way to market instrumental rock, but whatever slogan you desire to attach to this band’s music, it is extremely talented well played modern music - if you are writing of mainstream radio, never I hope, its on public radio as well as college late night.
+MysterDaftGame we don't enjoy it . utube are the people that turn your life to shit cause they swap names around messages to cause trouble this is what they call gaming . ! they want drama from your life by fucking it up . this is watt they use for television and you pay a licence for . songs that you relate to, ? about you . . yasssssssss!
I remember, there was a video with this song. It was quick edited mashup thing, like "Best of you - Foo Fighters" clip. Anyone else remember that? I miss that video so much, it was an emotinal rollercoster with this song. Just perfect.
I remember a former US marine talking about his time in Iraq, he decided to use this song in his power-point... it showed from the time he got to parris island all the way all the way to his tour of duty in Iraq, awesome power-point, but a really sad story, thank you GIAA for making inspirational masterpieces like this.
Wow, that drumming is insane...THeir songs are so incredibly powerful and deeply touching..They are a part of my life since years now...Can't imagine a world without their music...Just pure awesomeness!! I hope you don't see this as a spam, but I just think that good music needs to be shared.. I found a band on youtube called "Nyctalgia" If you've got time, listen to their song "Lost in timeless horizons" Breathtaking and powerful song by this young talented guy..
Yeah, we wouldn't want a talented musical group to have their music be exposed to a larger volume of people and spread the beauty and actually make some money...
Absolutely, if they can manage to "break out" and still remain true to their sound and soul there's nothing wrong with success, it just too often fails to turn out that way :(
I love this song so much! There's such an intense atmosphere in it...It gives me so much hope for everything..it gives me the feeling that I can reach all the goals I set..Thanks GIAA!! I hope you wont see this as spam, but I think good music needs to be shared. I found a band on youtube called "Nyctalgia" If you've time, listen to their song "Lost in timeless horizons" and "Falling into nothingness" Breathtaking and powerful songs by this young talented guy..
i think what the person is pointing out, and what we have found in life, that there is no turning around. sure you can go back to the same place, see the same people, but everything will have changed, because you have changed. what you are now, you will never be again. there is no going back, only looking forward. wait and hope.
I just wonder why post-rock stuff like GIAA, this will destroy you, explosions in the sky and so on only get positive comments, thumbs up ecc., maybe it's because they're really amazing and their music leaves you speechless because it touches you deep inside whatever you musical preferences are.. however god is an astronaut are great, hope they will keep up the good work!
I dreamed i spoke another language and lived in another skin. I dreamed you were my beloved and was the tiger's kin. eden lived inside me and I breathed a garden's lane and i dreamed of all creation and that i knew the creator's name. this dream was the finest real and true, we would live forever, uou in me and me in yu.
I believe in a world where one can click on and listen to an amazing song and not see the "weed makes it better"/"does not!" back and forth crap. Smoke--listen to it; don't smoke-- listen to it; don't think about trivial shit like that--listen to it. This song is better than that.
If only music like this replaced the music on the radio nowadays; the world will surely be a better place.
Nope...it would not
You're right Joey this is way more uplifting
cringe
Oh shi- Joey!
I...
Honestly think you're somewhat right.
Who says great music isn't being made anymore? This is it people
Indeed! You have to make an effort to find it.
MemeInjector You’re correct.
Magiczna piosenka gdzie przez 7min czlowiek chodz na chwile moze poczuc sie wolny
I have not heard anything more beautiful in the music industry than this song.
Sigur Rós, Ólafur Arnalds and Mono are purely beautiful.
I am slowly falling in love with post-rock music; it started with Explosions In The Sky, now these guys. This genre is filled with amazing artists.
There is no way back, this is it, a shot at life not to accumulate materials but experience it all in its range, love pain sorrow hatred Joy death is temporary eternal life is guaranteed tread softly
This song is so damn good. Just a great combination of what makes post-rock music beautiful.
Deberian enviar musica como esta al espacio, como simbolo de la humanidad.
I'm happy I found this group. Their stuff gets me thinking.
I heard a song of god is an astronaut, the song called point plesant, after that song i buyed every single album, i love this band. Another good postrockband id Long Distance Calling

This song is nearly 6 years old, and still of my best I've ever heard!
Came out in 2008 so 8 years old :) But yes, still one of the best songs from a great band!
It makes me feel like if I'm in some kind of sci-fi, fantasy, surreal world!
this guys are just amazing!good music dont need any vocals!the music gives you the chance to sing your own lyrics in your mind.,everyone have a story..
hard to describe how good this song is. The riff, the beast of a drumming, the vibe that gets you into. Bliss as fuck.
Dat bass solo and song development! love this kind of post-rock.

I'm scrolling down the comments and I arrived here the exact moment when the bass solo came !

Dammit, I wanted to see them so bad, it's hard to find any post-rock bands playing in my country. Too bad money was tight, heard they were amazing :(

@kierancarberry we are commenting so much like the number of the words they are using in the lyrics
