As of May 2024, Jin is 38 and brother Dong is 36. Together they are OKMO Engines, Microcosm brand. They have 2 small kids each and despite selling dozens of traditional model engine products there is no big factory, it's just these two designing, prototyping and outsourcing.
Through their products I feel Jin's passion for the hobby and it has opened a new world for me. I also support small family business, wherever it is.

Jin is a genius, developing all these beautiful engines - and making them available at reasonable prices. Currently I have the following: M12, M15, M17, M17B, M26 and the beautiful T26 tractor (with a M26 engine). Especially the M26 engines are running very well. It is great fun to get them started and see them run.
Ah, my friend, we are obviously Jin's core customer! We totally "get" the passion he develops engines with, and we are passionate in sharing it! I was looking through my collection yesterday, it's similar to you. Loved your comment thanks!!!
I love running my T26 tractor and it's M26 motor is one of my favorite motors, so easy to start, such good manners and character BUT mine rattles like a bastard and I fear for the valve tappets or camshaft. I have just seen your two tractors video. As I said before, the M26s are my best running engines. But both had problems initially. The stand- alone motor did not run because the camshaft was not fixed to the cogwheel - a pin was missing.
The tractor engine did not have any compression when I got it. So, I put the now well running M26 into the tractor and repaired the tractor engine - just some adjustments required.
These Jin engines are like children: usually they are quite well behaved. But on other occasions they just refuse to do what they are supposed to do.
The main problem with the tractor was that the horizontal frame (with the seat) was not properly fixed to the vertical bit (under the controls). because of this the gearbox tended to disconnect from the cogwheel on the differential. I have solved this with a bit of 10 x 10 mm aluminium profile screwed (from the underside) to these two frame bits. Now the connection is stable.
I run my engines wit 95 octane (car-)petrol with two-stroke oil at a mixture of 1:50 - 1:100. More oil only escapes from the exhaust.
I can't be absolutely sure, but I think that my tractor is the only one in Cyprus.
Thank you for your interesting reply! Too true, they are a "fiddler's engine" :) I am reducing the amount of added oil down to that ratio too now.
I'm a big supporter of Jin , Dong and their business . They took the brave step I to this hobby out of pure passion and heart inspired idea.
All of their creations are aimed at those who resonate with the passion @OKMOEngines
