I suggest using CRC Tac2. It comes out the can as a very fluid liquid but sets lijeva thick oil and penetrates really well. Pick done up next time you're at Supercheap
My experience is you can wash out the cylinder most effectively by taking out the spark plug and squirting in carb or brake cleaner. While this will shift a lot of the crap oily soot mounting up on the pistons, it's also sure to make your compression problem worse in the short term. Until every bit of oily soot is out of the valves. And it thoroughly dried. And relubed. Not simple... I had this problem with the SAM engine and took it apart, checked and rotated the valves (you can try to do this without disassembly by grabbing the vales with pliers) and replacing the piston ring...but it turned out it was a wear in the valve timing and that was doing it. Earlier Microcosm engines needed heads off and valves reseated with a little toothpaste. If it's this big H75, look carefully at the camshaft/valve opening and closing too. Sorry but this is a big issue I've also struggled with

I seem to haveclost quite a bit of compression on mine hate the thought of taking the heads off, any ideas would be welcome.

Starting engine in wrong direction
Holts are supposed to tun in the other direction originally. Jin built this model to run this way, it won't start the other way
