    Oh, oh, a huge improvement (and I believe Vox uses it VEEEERY often) is posterize time (they use lower FPS than 24 for many animations). Anyone knows how many?

      @soumyajitkushari675 2 ปีที่แล้ว +83

      I think it’s somewhere between 12 to 16, I tried it in after effects a few years ago. I’m leaning towards twelve though because their animations kind of have the feel of “animation on twos”.

    • @ardhel

      @@natsurii7092 only if youre running a 24 or higher framerate at 12. if you're animating it on twos/at 12fps, it isn't really "jittery", because that's how it was supposed to be seen.

    It's not as smooth as VOX, I'm not hating but what I wanna interpret is that the movements here are much tacky compared to vox smooth way of moving using keyframes. Though it's so god damn epic you can pull this theme and almost perfect it.

    I noticed that a lot of Vox's motion designs tend to have a slight drop in frame rate as well as weathered textures with slight transparency. Obviously they're going for a hand-drawn frame-by-frame animation style, but after attempting it by myself I realized that there were so many little things the animator did to achieve the effect. Vox's use of collage is second to none as well, which made things even more difficult.
    That being said, this was a pretty close imitation. Things like the timing, absence of textures, and reliance on easy-ease is holding it back though. I'd do some more studies, but overall this was really good!

    From my experience, simply changing the linear animation to some eased ones by messing with keyframe velocity can bring this very respectable result to to next level. It takes 20% longer when animating but it makes a huge difference. When I tried that in my videos I was stunned by the difference something so small makes!

  • @KnownAlmond
    @KnownAlmond 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Vox seems to just have a lower frame rate for the text animations making them feel more "animated." Your animation of the yellow highlight for "NOTICED" feels very liner at a higher frame rate. Keep up the good work, you'll improve in no time!

  • @off_1ine
    @off_1ine 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Its pretty spot on but I think ur missing the low fps/stop motion look. With Posturize Time you could lower the framerate. Also with your animations you should use easy ease, without it it makes it look kind of stiff and robotic. One thing you can use to streamline this process for all your animations is downloading an addon called "Flow".
