Can anyone show where, in any of the books ,does this took take place. To my knowledge these two never met. Sauron made the rings by deceiving Celebrimbor but before he could complete the master ring the Army of Numenor came and took Sauron back to the island. Sauron did his evil deeds that led to the downfall of Numenor at the cost of his Fair look . Returned to Mordor completed his Master Ring that led to the war between Men & Elves.
This is a WILD adaptation... A Parallel Tolkien Universe... Written by talentless hacks! Nothing more... Nothing less! And although the confrontation between these two in The Hobbit also isn't cannon (need to confirm but I'm pretty sure Galadriel didn't cast him out of Dol-Guldur!) that depiction was at least more realistic since that was a magical struggle against the Dark Lord! Honestly, I really don't know what this is... But at this point, I am beyond caring! This show is NOT Tolkien! In any way, shape or form!
Also, none of the Istarii were dispatched until after the Last Alliance of Men and Elves in their campaign against Sauron, the one where Isildur luckily chops off the ring finger of Sauron with his father's broken sword.
You got your timelines wrong. After deceiving Celebrimbor, Sauron forged The One Ring, demanded the Three Elven Rings for himself, elves refused and thus started the war between Sauron and elves, and sack of Eregion happened. Sometime after this, Sauron was taken to Numenor.
Just like The Acolyte, where did the budget go? Jackson’s 6 films all looked so much better than this. More money laundering just like Disney Star Wars? I feel nothing for these characters.
