    Good video. Short and to the point, which I appreciate. And you even called out the nylon washer which a lot of other folks don't. Good job, brother. Oh, and my old lady didn't appreciate it when I called her that. ;-)

    Love this. No fluff - just get right to it. Changed my filter today myself in large part to this video. Super clear, super concise. Awesome job. And thank you for your time in making this.

    My 1965 Buick wagon would hesitate, like it wanted to turn off at round 40 mph. Also when I'd go up a hill, I replaced this fuel filter on my engine & it solved my problem. It even starts faster in the morning.
    Also there's a screw on the carb itself that can be adjusted for the idle, rev up the engine more or lessen it. Can be adjusted with small flat screwdriver, to your own specific need.

    Does anybody know what that part is called or the part number? I need the line from the pump to the filter there that bent and the fitting that goes from the line to the filter and snugs up to the carb. Thanks!

    • @Cjautoparts
      @Cjautoparts  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, Dorman makes a self-tapping carburetor fitting for repairing stripped threads. Just do a search on eBay for carburetor self-tapping and you'll see different inlet sizes depending on what you need. It's a $20 fix.

      CJ Auto Parts, LLC thanks the threads are stripped on my 1985 Chevy C-30 carburetor and leaks fuel onto the intake manifold I've been trying to figure out how to stop it so dormant self tapping carburetor fitting right on hope to find it

    huh mine didn't have that nylon washer could it leak just because of that I replaced my filter on my 1985 454 and put it back together and it leaked it didn't have that nylon washer and took that part off of a 455 I had in my buddies yard and that one didn't have a nylon washer either

    • @Cjautoparts
      @Cjautoparts  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, yes you need the nylon washer, it will leak like a sieve without one. You can get an assortment pack from Help (aka motormite, aka dorman), part number 55143. The clear/white nylon washer is the one you need from the pack.

      Your needle & seat is probably stuck. That's the next point of fuel entry.

    If the fuel line nut is rusted on, can you spray penetrating blaster on it to loosen it?

    • @Cjautoparts
      @Cjautoparts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Spray liquid wrench and let it sit for a day. You can spray it multiple times and then try the next day.
