There are chapters that are interesting (like Blood Angels), haven't shown yet (Salamanders, Iron Hands, Ravenguard, Imperial Fists, White Scars, and Dark Angels*).
*Except for one comic where a Native American-like planet was one of its recruiting worlds (a bit odd for Knightly-chapters, but that didn't stop Black Templars from recruiting literal caveman into their army or stoic Imperial Fists and commando Ravenguard from youth gang members) that was taken over by Genestealers before being cleansed by a Terminator squad who originated from that world.
@@powerist209 Shrike himself was a ganger in his youth, his first name has some relation to that. The raven guard do have some very interesting aspirant trials. The main one of course being to the very much so elusive and alert Corvia bird. It must be caught and its skull taken. It is said in the Shrike book that the bird essentially chooses who will catch it, Shrike caught 2 on that day

I literally discovered Warhammer 40k 2 years ago thanks to SODAZ and TTS! And now those are either gone and discontinued because of the companies greed and ego.

It sucks because it looks good, like the ART looks good, but the animation is such a disservice to it, if they animated it better, this could have been a god like show!

that's Not true at all. He had a whole video explaining that he was pulling the plug because he was unsure he could continue without GW suing him due to the vague language used in their announcement.
He's also since made more videos since that are more or less in the same vein as tts, why would he do that if he quit because of "toxicity"?

How to write space wolfs. Just have them laugh at the start / end of every sentence.
The most redeemable aspect of this is the voice acting. It’s fluid, lively, and on point. I wish the animation matched it a bit more, if this were a fan project I’d say it was stellar given they wouldn’t even have a quarter of what GW could spend. I’m not mad, just disappointed
The frames per second are great dude, like old school age of mythology cutscenes in my toaster computer back in the day.

God this show is exactly like GW. Only animate the mouth but the eyes are still dead as hell and there isn’t a single spare brain cell anywhere
They don't even animate the mouths that well. Only the bottom lip and jaw moves, and doesn't quite match what is being said. It's like anime lip flapping.

Hm... Are these the exact same bolter sounds as in Dawn of War 2? Pretty sure they are. So they also cheaped out on stock sounds, not only frames of animation. Wonderful.
Looks like they've moved to 3d modeling to save effort as well.

space wolves are by far my favorite space marine chapter and faction in 40k, I love the who Norse feel of them. I wish there was more animations for them. I'm guessing it's because of the fact that they have the most aesthetics such as furs and totems and usually don't wear helmets, makes them harder to animate or do a cinematic

It's pretty sad to see a lot of Corpo sympathizers not only justify how cheaply made this is but flat out say it's a good thing that it looks like this...
Why is it so hard to have high expectations from a Corporation that, not only will they make more cash than you will ever make in a decade in the span of a day, but also bullied, black mailed and threatened their own fan base into trashing their own work just so their cheap garbage wouldn't have any competition.
Have some balls.
A year later and you're going to finally get an answer: The short answer is that the H&B Team were hired to do *their* work. Plain and simple. If you commission an artist to draw something for you, they're going to do it in their own personal style, not the style of someone else who probably costs about 3x as much. I have dealt with those kinds of customers, and I don't take their money as a result.
Now, with that said, yes, GW could technically afford better. But for better animation projects that won't break the bank, they need people to come to them with their ideas, and a short demo of what they intend to do. If you have a story idea, a script, and an animation team, then you could approach GW with the idea and maybe get it approved. Maybe.
Now, this isn't me sucking up to GW, I don't work for them, I just enjoy the hobby and the stories we do get through H&B and the other animations (like Iron Within or The Exodite). You're free to disagree with me all you want, but what draws me in isn't the animation, it's the story being told. And frankly, the stories are usually good enough they could hold up even when being told with MS Paint Stick Figures.
Now, as for expectations... A lot of people expected to get animations akin to Astartes when W+ was first announced. Obviously, we haven't gotten that, but I would argue that what we got was actually better... because we got choices. If you like short stories that are told using an animated comic book style approach? H&B has ya covered. Do you want to see some epic battles both in space and on the ground, all happening in the background as a plucky team try to fight their way through it all? Exodite. The list goes on, and likely will continue to go on. But there is one truth at the end of all this:
The people behind the animations aren't having to fight over a few pennies that TH-cam gives them. They now have a steady income, making the very stories they want to tell, in a format they're skilled in. You simply could not have asked for a better outcome than this. How many artists and animators get hired on by some big studio, only to be told they can't express their creative freedoms because the studio they work for calls all the shots?
@@Tank50us We don't know what they're being paid, if it's hourly or a salary, we don't know what their contracts are. Besides, the rate of fan animations being released were exceedingly faster than the animations being released by GW.
We don't know anything about the conditions of their work place either, if they're treated fairly, get put on crunch time to finish at specific schedules, so on and so forth.
The only thing we know is they threatened their own fanbase with a cavalcade of cease and desist forms. Not even Disney does this, they allow fan made content. GW threatened to ruin the lives of people who were giving them free advertisement.
I have no reason to assume in good faith that this Corporation is doing any of this out of the kindness of their heart and that it's a better deal for these artists, specially when they're the type to steal ideas from other franchises and then lose their minds when someone makes something that takes inspiration from their work.
I like their world building and story ideas but they themselves don't care for it, they just see it as fluff to sell their absurdly priced plastic figurines.

He's a Fenrisian, it's pretty normal for them. Also the Space Wolves take their recruits from older stock than most Astartes chapters, preferring warriors who've done something neat to catch the eye of a rune priest. Usually around 14-15, because yes. that's considered an adult on Fenris.
Its rare for a full grown human to except the gene seeds implants but few people has, the space wolves are just based and just do it to alot of their warriors old or young their just roaches that can't die so makes sense they are some of the most badass space marines also one of the most friendly

Everyone complaining we lost animation, it's still on youtube/other sites. People are still producing animation, and honestly this getting uploaded is quite nice for us who already don't want to buy Warhammer+. Plus there are ways to pirate these things, it's not so hopeless.

The easiest way to make any chapter stand out from oneanother is appearently to overplay their specific attributes and flat characters. It makes this feel like a cartoon for kids. 'Laughing viking-wolf-spacesoldier', i guess it seems silly anyways like fitting antagonists for the Ninja Turtels. Maybey im just getting to old for warhammer 40k but too much of a fanboy to quit.

Its just that, the target demo grew up, and the kids these days are too soft.

@@stringstorm different animation team. Each team was brought on for their skill sets, and story telling. And as someone who's done commission work, being hired on to do work that's on the par of someone more expensive is damn near sickening.

All these people talking about low animation quality, but I just think it gives me metalocolypse vibes and I like that. The small scene of the wolf priest walking out along with the aspirant makes me think the low framerate is entirely intentional, as that is clearly a 3D model doing a very smooth walk cycle.
of course it's intentional. they intentionally want to save as much money as possible.
That was fucking AWESOME. Now I want to watch all the Hammer and Bolter stuff regardless of their animation quality. This one sold me.

I love the Space Wolves. They are the most unspace marine space marines ever. It’s like giving a bunch of football hooligans assault rifles and telling the to sort shit out. Football hooligans that though are extremely violent and actually have a moral core. I suppose that kind of excludes Leeds United and West Ham. Imagine a films such as Greenstreet instead of having football fans they are Space Wolves.
Well they are chaos space marines loyal to the Emperor.
