I love this detuned V8, optimized for cruising, and you have all the color options as well as interior trim choices. I can’t see justifying paying an extra 15-20 for V8 badging, paddle shifters and a slightly more powerful engine. It reminds me of the original LR4 with the V8 that I absolutely adore. This is simply gorgeous, a simple sleeper.
V8 edition isn’t just “badging” and a few extra HP. It has bespoke suspension and drivetrain components and settings.
Also, people always overlook the fact that the V8 edition comes fully loaded with all the possible options. If you configure any other trim level with all those options, the price would be very close.
I adore this vehicle. The first time I saw a review of this 2024 Defender 110 p500 v8 se trim making 493 hp and 450 pounds-feet of torque this is an off-road and on-road vehicle beautifully designed car I'm a sucker for this thing thanks.

Some of you talk about the quality all you want, but this is Bar None the best looking SUV in the segment! Land Rover has come a long way quality-wise, but this vehicle is visually stunning in other ways that other SUVs simply can't compete!

@@nigels6786 two totally different looking vehicles! The G-wagon came out in the late 70's and has only received mini updates here and there and is a good looking vehicle! But if parked next to this Land Rover it's overall shape isn't as modern! Take the Mercedes name off the G-wagon and it would look like a really well kept older platform! Most people want a modern looking vehicle with prestige and though the G-wagon oozes "prestige ", there's hardly anything modern about it exterior wise! Again, the G-wagon is a beast and great looking, but visually I think the Rover is a better looking design and I believe most people would agree with me. You're not one of those people and that's cool!

True. This SUV is so beautiful. It is a head turner. Lol😂. The few times I've seen it on Nigerian roads, I notice not just I that is a car enthusiast looking at it, but others too. Videos and pics don't do it justice until u see it in real life. And it works in all the colours.
I bought a new LR4 HSE back in 2011….. drove it over 123,000 miles. Just sold it last year. Enjoyed the vehicle immensely but the repair costs were prohibitive. I won’t buy another LR product.
Did you have an 8 year warranty on it? Did stuff start going bad after warranty? Just curious. My 2023 defender 90 SE has been solid for 12k miles. I did purchase an 8 year warranty though.
What did you replace it with?
Beautiful Defender….Not sure I would pull a hose out to clean the floors with that white leather seating.

I think this Land Rover Defender looks like a better version of the Ford bronco! Don't get me wrong, I think the Ford Bronco looks good, but Rover did it better!

Does the sunroof open or is it a fixed glass roof? It's amazing how no one talks about it.
It opens, and slides approx half way back.
G class is more reliable, holds value better, cheaper to maintain(previous gen).

I had bronco and traded for defender. Too much plastic too much noise too much driver fatigue
I have a Bronco Wildtrak and a P400. The Bronco is ok but very cheap dash and interior. Extremely cheap.
I, like many others here in the UK condemned this car before it came out, but since seeing it I think, given the money I WOULD buy one, but not the V8.

I've read that body panels are difficult to get if someone runs into you, and that the steeper windshield is a gravel magnet. But with the 20-inch wheels it would look good and still be functional off-road.

@@SamCarLegion I think it was DeMurro who had the body panel issue and I spoke with a couple of Defender drivers who confirmed the windshield catching gravel. It's still a compelling package and a versatile vehicle that actually demands that the owner get it dirty. Unlike the G.

When I see my dad clicking all three air filtration buttons, I know he farted. Alcantara suede on a steering wheel is the dumbest idea ever. Sure it's nice at first, 2 years later it looks like a 15 year old car and needs replaced. Only good for areas that aren't being constantly touched and rubbed.

Piece of s’’t. I had an original series 2a Land Rover 1972. That was a real machine. The last defender from the ‘90’s was real. But this is just some ford junk put together. It’s a slap in the face of the real vehicle that it’s supposed to represent. It’s sad nothing is taken seriously anymore. Just put out something for the rich buyers. At least the G-wagon is still capable!!!
So, in this LHD version, I’d pull up to the kerb on the right, and when I go to unload, the rear door opens TO THE RIGHT, blocking me from unloading straight to the kerb?! 🤦🏻♂️🤷♂️😡 What a low-rent move!🤭 Hinge the door on the other side for LHD, Landrover! @@SamCarLegion Correction: “This LOOKS better”. No Toyota comes close to looking as beautiful inside and out as this or any other Land Rover model. And no Land Rover comes close to providing the reliability and durability of a Toyota Land Cruiser.
The G Wagon is a million times more reliable than that Land Rover. TFL went through three of those things in a one month period. They all had various problems. So they kept returning each one back to the dealership. That thing be is the shop more than you will get to drive it. Land Rover and reliability go together like oil and water.
I know people that have had issues with G class - many people. The old ones were great but new ones not so much
@@SamCarLegion all manufacturers have issues from time to time, even Honda and Toyota. How ever year after year Land Rover is last on every automobile reviewers list for reliability. They are number one is being the worst vehicle you can purchase.
I was told Lexus is bulletproof- didn’t have the bulletproof experience. Me and others! Don’t take those lists too seriously, they are dependent on who reports what.
Really? I previously owned a several Mercedes and now this defender but to me Land Rover is much reliable than Mercedes. Mercedes always has too many issues especially when they are brand new.
I’ve had multiple JLR products and they are all hands down more reliable than any of our BMWs or Audis. I have yet to have a BMW delivered with everything working - including a new i7.
