    • @patricepicard6686

      Since when faster is better? What's 2 minutes for a caliber change if it gives you a perfect return to zero between barrels instead of all other systems out there... The video is a training video, the explanations makes it longer. I can do a barrel change within 60 seconds when there's no bla bla. I'll be shooting steel at 1500m while you are still looking for an impact to corret your POI versus your last barrel change. Hopefully you'll try it and the gun will do the talking.

    Does the multi caliber system compromise accuracy? For example, would a cdx-338 make a tighter group than the kraken with a 338 barrel?

    • @patricepicard6686
      @patricepicard6686 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Nope my friend. Same barrel size, even bigger action. The barrel change doesn't affect accuracy (as long as it's done as per the owner's manual)

  • @vizi0123

    Can you guys make it any more complicated???!!!!!!!
    BTW i love yall's chassis.

    • @patricepicard6686
      @patricepicard6686 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Might be a tiny bit more complicated than some other barrel change systems out there however this one works wayyyy better as you are threaded the conventional way straight in the action receiver, not clamped like most systems. This means that your POI remains pretty much the same even at long range which is a big improvement to the clamping method which repeat inside 1 MOA. These systems are designed to shoot at long range +1000 yards so one MOA is 10" of margin of error at 1000 yards... Our system has a shift of POI of less than 1/4 MOA if done properly. That means less than 2.5" of margin of error at 1000 yards. With shots taken at more than 1500 yards these days this makes the difference between a hit or a miss. But yes it takes more than a 1/8" Allen to perform a barrel change. Still, just think about how much ammo and time you'll spend on a range trying to fine tune your rifle between barrel changes? Accuracy will always win over rapidity of barrel change because barrel changes are not made in the field, they are made prior to the mission so 30 seconds change versus 5 minutes change doesn't matter...

    Does Cadex produce any of its rifle platforms in left hand?

    • @patricepicard6686
      @patricepicard6686 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Sir, thanks for your question. I'M sorry to let you know that we do not offer any left handed rifles for the moment and it's not in the plans in a near future. We'll probably offer a semi-automatic sniper rifle prior to offer any left handed. It's just a question of level of demand. Your closest chance to get a left handed Cadex rifle would be one of our chassis for Rem 700 and use a left handed Rem 700 clone custom action from companies like Stiller or Defiance Machine. Thanks a lot for your understanding.

      Takes less than two minutes to do a barrel change and half an hour to redo a zero cause of the shift of POI between barrel changes... Quite a time gain! Spend some time behind both guns prior to comment and you'll see what money can buy.

  • @pvkjhilk8323
    @pvkjhilk8323 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    great system shouldnt take more than 10 minutes for a barrel change. as convenient as it needs to be while maintaining headspace and consistent solid lock up but it is stupid heavy/ expensive. i will agree though the best barrel change system ive seen yet. i would be more interested in seeing this design patented and licensed to more lightweight hunting/ sporterized competition rifles

    • @patricepicard6686
      @patricepicard6686 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess we disagree on the definition of stupidity... To us stupidity is most of the manufacturers selling a multi-caliber not capable to maintain the same POI between barrel changes. If you consider that carrying a 1 pound/ 3 piece tooling kit in your gun case is "stupid heavy/expensive" than I guess we'll let you spend your ammo trying to fine tune your ballistic chart, spending ammo, while we hit targets first round first hit... Most systems on the market are maintaining a 1/2 MOA on paper (a true 1 MOA in the field) shift of POI, it means 15" at 1500m. This system has zero to 1/4 MOA shift of POI and this makes the difference between a hit versus just throwing lead out there until you can make your correction. Also, try to find us a Multi-Cal (American/Canadian made) using top of the line components with the same features for cheaper than us... Good luck. But we respect your opinion.

    • @pvkjhilk8323
      @pvkjhilk8323 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      i am saying for what i need the rifle is very heavy and expensive. that is why i would like to see it on more competition/ hunting rifles. i am not sold on the other manufacturers quick change system and actually have faith this would work well but i have no need to change calibers in the field , that is an option i would love having at home

    • @patricepicard6686
      @patricepicard6686 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We agree on that point, a caliber change is NEVERneeded in the field, including the military. As for heavy, it's not a hunting rifle for sure, it's an extreme range surgical tool so heavy is stability and makes the difference on follow up shots.

    • @iMetalocalypse
      @iMetalocalypse 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@daviddaerr1719 because the military can ask for anything...then there is reality. That is why many requests come up and few contracts get signed. There is not a single truly "tooless" multical system adopted. The M40A6 uses a torque wrench hex key and the abandoned XM2010 found out the juice wasn't worth the squeeze. These guys have done what was asked and the requirements are what they are. This was never meant for the hobby shooter. I am not a Cadex fanboy either I just like keeping up with innovative systems.

      Cadex designed the MSR chassis for Remington back in the days. Each comanies went their separate ways at one point due to some disagreement on aluminum castings versus aluminum billet type of manufacturing process. We chose quality over production cost. MSR program was cancelled due to product issues with the XM2010. This explains the similarities of some key components of this chassis. Nice looking setups an I've seen some reviews by lowlight to be very accurate but It looks very very similar to the Accuracy International multi caliber setup and at $7,200 msrp before optic, bipod, etc this will be a $10k setup. Not any cheaper than other tried and true multi cal setups and looks like the gen2 AX setup was just copied.

    • @patricepicard6686
      @patricepicard6686 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I'd like you to explain us how we copied a chassis that we developed about 5 years before AI was even thinking about making their AX chassis?... A chassis is a chassis my friend and I guess following your logic then pretty much all companies including AI copied us since we designed the Remington MSR chassis about 10 years ago before all these knock off specialty companies even knew what was a chassis. Regarding the price then I suggest that you have a look at the specs of what you get for that kind of money and you'll notice very fast that there's no match in the industry in terms of quality and best bang for your bucks. If you are still not convinced that we are superior then bring your AI with you and come visit us in Montreal, Qc, Ca and we'll put both guns side by side and we'll compare evry single points and features of yours versus ours and then we'll hit the range and I'll show you on paper what is the Cadex difference. Respectfully. Best regards

    • @gh4211
      @gh4211 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry that my comments upset you but unfortunately that's my opinion, tri lug bolt, quick change barrel, and almost identical look of AI. If you guys developed these so long ago why is no one in PRS running your setups? I'd be more than happy to put my AI up against anything you wanna bring to the range but we both know that won't happen, Im not going to fly to Canada and your not going to fly to the U.S. Out of the top 100 PRS shooters in the U.S. Cadex isn't on the list of Chassis or Actions and AI has been in the top 5 for many many years. So by saying that your setup is head and shoulders above everything else is just a sales pitch in my opinion. AI has been around since the late 70's so I doubt you developed alot before them. And the price is pretty easy to beat my friend you can have some of the best Smiths in the U.S. make you almost 2 precision rifles for $7,200 with almost any action on any stock or chassis.

There will always be guys claiming that GMC is better than Ford, then the Dodge guy will show up saying that his truck is better than the two other ones and once everybody think that the debate has ended there will be a Toyota guy and a Nissan guy starting another fight. My AIs are amazing systems and are extremely accurate but I will not be counting the Cadex out by any means. I want the best out there and if this is better, I want to try it. I doubt the Nemesis is "way better". They have changed their design several times too and valkyrie and vanquish owners on Sniperhide have complain about marginal accuracy for the cost. All these rifles at the 5k+ range are sub MOA closer to sub .5 MOA. The only difference is the audience/market. I.e.
