  • James Ferguson documents the POI shift when changing barrels from one caliber to another with the Cadex Defence Kraken Multicaliber Weapon System. The calibers utilized for this were the .308 Winchester, the 6.5 Creedmoor, and the .338 Lapua Magnum.

    This takes more patience from the hosts of these videos but when testing at the range I really get the most out of those videos that show both the shooter firing and also a picture in picture simultaneous video if target impact. Setting here watching a shooter shoot and nothing else doesn’t give information other than maybe recoil, otherwise it’s sleep worthy. 😀🙏❤️❤️🙏

      I totally understand. I am working on getting more of that type of footage in upcoming videos.

    Nice system. What’s the price range for it and the caliber conversions?

    • @xmtgfirearmstrainingacadem4426
      @xmtgfirearmstrainingacadem4426  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The rifle alone retails in the $7,000 range. Tools and caliber conversions are priced seperately. Caliber conversions are in the $1,300 dollar range per caliber last time I looked.

      $5100 for rifle in one caliber, about $1300 for chassis + about $1300 per extra caliber (bolt & barrel)

    Does it hold the same zero after verifying each caliber zero?
    Could zero each caliber noting zero setting for each. Change calibers and zero each at before noted setting and then change back to original caliber. set at pre-noted zero and see if original zero of that caliber has shifted.

      Yes. I normally keep the .308 barrel in the rifle. When I change to another caliber, I adjust the turrets to get the POI hitting the zero target. I have that information recorded in my data book. When I put my .308 barrel back in the rifle, I set the turrets back to zero and my impact is spot on.

    I think this wheight in 6.5 creed recoil is smooth

    • @xmtgfirearmstrainingacadem4426
      @xmtgfirearmstrainingacadem4426  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very smooth! The gun weighs in at a little over 19 pounds so recoil is not much at all.

      @XMTG Firearms Training Academy thank you for answering.
      I training in 22lr wanna change the distance and cartridge a lot of people recommend try 6.5 creedmoor.
      And I have the confusion in my mind what rifle chose ?
      I like the mpa mpr pro or cadex kraken
      So the kraken have more options to the future in upgrade.
      I get in 1 hour to me the dealer of cadex in ,Denton, TX will visit and feel how is it
      Sorry for the my English
      With respect Ivan

    When removing a barrel with a set muzzlebrake and reinstalling, does it retain a correct position or can it be offset or over rotated so ports are no long true at 3 and 9 o clock?

    • @xmtgfirearmstrainingacadem4426
      @xmtgfirearmstrainingacadem4426  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Every time that I have installed a barrel with the brake on it, it has been clocked correctly. My .308 has a brake that the can screws over and the .338 has a big brake on it. Both of them are always clocked correctly.

    Hi, do you think this gun accuracy is at sniper or prs level?
