That's been one Of the best Turbo upgrade videos I've ever seen and it is definitely a plus to have a 10 blade in a 6.0 because that's where they fall on their face the top end and exactly why a compound or a triple Turbo is the best thing to do Believe me I'm going to get the best VGT Turbo along with A good compound additional Turbo So I can keep the benefits and have good top end performance

We’re a small mom pop shop out in Cali but cool see other mechanics, Cali laws suck so we’re mainly putting egr deletes back to stock, like on dodge 6.7 which sucks because deff chokes up the the turbo and idk how many vgt we sent out to get rebuilt. So you used the stock 13 blade compressor wheel with a 10 blade exhaust wheel
Love the sound of the turbo but rather have low end torque for towing. I have a 6.0 van and will be upgrading to the Wicked Wheel 2.

Yeah we need videos on how to install it on the 7.3 the 6.0 turbo on a 7.3
Won't work on 7.3 unless you run a standalone controller to run turbo and by then you should've just got a KC38R. KC38R works better for a 7.3 than any 6.0 charger.
Can you do a video on the high idle switch to the parking light?
Hopefully the front seal was already in the piece you put in the front cover!
Wish I would have seen this before I dumped $1200 on another powermax. And threw away an 03 turbo I had that needed seals.

I have 2005 F350 and I have started to notice oil being sprayed on the top of the engine and engine hood. Is that coming off the turbo?
I did that kit on my turbo but it came with both wheels

15w40 valvoline, just something to help lubricate seals

I have an 04 6.0 and have a major oil leak that I can’t find. I was told that it’s from the bottom seal of the turbo. It’s coming from the top of the motor and running down both sides of the bell housing. Idk if that’s where it’s leaking for sure. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

May I ask how many miles did the truck have when you rebuilt this turbo? Looking at doing the same exact thing but mines up there in the milage and was wondering if its even worth my time and money to rebuild it or just get a whole new turbo?
180k and most likely if it’s 250k miles or higher you might be better off replacing whole turbo

Mine does have 345k on her so ig ill see if I can make it work or if I need a whole new turbo. Bad thing is that you don't know if its fixable or not until you got everything taken apart 😂. Truck was cold. Properly working glow plugs, 5w40 Schaefer’s oil, good injectors, 6.4 starter

Cheapest? If you are on stock fuel, unplug your wastegate, you won’t be able to fuel enough to destroy it. Napa 6637 air filter, straight piped exhaust, and a upgraded compressor wheel is a good set up. Check out riff raff diesel. Hydra chip is a great bang for your buck too

Yes you can, at that point order both from kc turbos and they will balance them together. It will sound just as good if not better

It would be fine, as long as you don’t tune it I don’t thing you would have an issue

It’s a higher flowing wheel for 2004.5-2007 6.0 trucks. Stock size for 03-04.5. More higher end performance for the late model 6.0s and a louder whistle similar to the early style
Stock blade count, not stock turbine size. 03 turbos have a 66mm 10 blade turbine, 04.5-07 turbos sport a 64mm turbine, the KC turbine is 64mm, smaller than the 03/Pmax turbo.
Shawn Weimer correct I misspoke. 03 has a larger housing and wheel. The 10 blade drop in has less blades then the stock 13 found in the later models

Nothing special is needed for loud whistle. just a stock 03-04 10 blade exhaust turbo and 03-04 pedestal with a straight pipe exhaust. Btw he left out the hardest part by far, reassembly of the exhaust housing.

Quoted directly from the KC Turbo website: "includes upgraded 360 degree thrust bearing, new thrust collar, new oil slinger, new piston rings, new journal bearings and sleeve, new compressor cover oring, new backing plate oring, and 4 extra backing plate bolts." I don't see anything about a bushing. What are you referring to? Just want to make sure I didn't miss something.

I don’t believe there is such a thing as a 11 blade kc turbo. Only 10 or 13. The 10 blade is loudest
