    I have an 06 my first 6 litre. I've replaced the turbo that was on it. I'd assume a 10 blade. It was pretty chewed up turbines. The engine has been deleted n studded. Now my question is. How do I know what year or size that turbo is? The 10 blade that was originally on it? I'm no diesel mechanic but not incompetent neither. I've looked at this turbo and want to rebuild it with this kit??

      There should be a part number on the turbo. If you call KC Turbos and give them that number they can get you the right kit.

      Unless someone modified it previously the 06 doesn't have the 10 blade stock. Only 03 trucks came from the factory with the 10 blade.

    Im about to take my turbo out to fix stc fitting and I was going to clean turbo or put a kc 10 blade diy kit my truck isn’t studded do you think the 10 blade update would blow by heads

      Just changing the turbo blades shouldnt net you very much power gain as you’d need a tune and larger injectors too. It’ll probably mostly help with spool time and the sound lol so I wouldn’t worry about blowing your head gaskets and in fact I am throwing this exact kit on my truck that also isn’t studded, so we’ll see how it goes

    Did I miss a video on the special oil change process for the IPR remote oil cooler
    I think In the video of the install you said it has something particular about the oil change with that kit

    Nate i put a new Garrett turbo in my 6L about 2 years ago and when i accelerate and release there is a shoo shoo shoo sound coming from the turbo is the unison ring stuck?

      I was thinking of going with a KC stage 1 to replace the Garrett your thoughts

      It could be a stuck ring but it really needs to be diagnosed by using a scan tool and actuating the Vgt to see if you get a change. A common failure that can cause your symptom is a failed EBP sensor/pigtail connector.
