    I've just made them 🌞 Thank you for the recipe ❤
    I just modified a bit this recepy: I didn't add white sugar (instead used 100g of brown sugar), but added 2 more tsp of ginger and replaced golden sirop with honey.
    Next time I'll use just 70g of brown sugar. For my taste that should be enough ☺️

    Thank you for this amazing recipe! I’ve already made it 3x in the past two weeks. Also, thank you for giving the measurements in Imperial as well. Here in the USA we use Cups; very few people have scales and no one uses metrics. By the way, in the 3rd batch, I tried adding 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper and it really gives it an extra zing.

    • @MilhaanHome
      @MilhaanHome  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are so welcome! Yes, I lived in the US for over 20 years and I got very used to cup measurements too! But sometimes in baking, I prefer using a scale for more sensitive recipes!!

      I wouldn’t recommend fresh ginger in this recipe due to moisture. I haven’t tried it, but I imagine the biscuits would become soft.

    What preservatives can you put in cookies to stay long?thanks

    • @MilhaanHome
      @MilhaanHome  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question! I don't think adding something to the cookies (other than some chemicals) helps them stay fresh longer. It's more about how they are stored. An airtight container is best so they don't dry out and maintain their moisture I think.

      If you are substituting Cake Flour for the Self-Raising Flour, then (per Google) whisk together 3 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt with 2 Cups Cake Flour to make the equivalent of 2 cups Self-Raising Flour. I hope that helps!

    • @MilhaanHome

      Even though they are called ginger ‘nut’ biscuits, they generally don’t have any nuts in them! But you can definitely add some if you like. I’d use almonds, walnuts or pecans. Try the original recipe first though and add some in half the batch so you can see which you prefer ☺️
