  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 16 ส.ค. 2024
  • We put together this video to guide you through simple adjustments: how to tighten, loosen, or straighten your new pair of frames so you can wear them comfortably until you can get to a Warby Parker store or a local optical shop.
    Warby Parker is our name, and non-insanely priced glasses are our game. We offer eyeglasses with single-vision prescription lenses from $95, prescription sunglasses from $175, and progressives from $295. Our full collection is available to try on in-store, and opticians are on hand to adjust your frames. If you need an eye exam, book an appointment online in advance with our optometrist.

    Wow you really saved the day! I went to my local optical shop for tightening and they way overdid it. The nosepads were making indententations on my nose and behind the ears. This method really works and beats driving 20 miles during a freezing cold, snowy day. Thank you!

      Yeah - Its a Scary thing to do to bend the metal on the nosepads but once you do it once you realize how easy it is.

      Because they are adjusting them and not putting it on your face to see the fit and then further adjusting it.

    Thank you for the informative and really excellent step-by-step well-photographed and tutorial instruction. My issue was with the corner on my new glasses not from RV by the way. My temples were pointing way to downward on my new glasses. I did search a lot of TH-cam videos and I found yours addressed my specific issue as well as others. I bought my glasses from Pearle Vision in Crest Hill Illinois and after multiple attempts they could not adjust my glasses and I didn't know this information otherwise I would have told them how to do it LOL

    Thank you for this tips. I’ve been doing self fitting and adjustment all these times and this video really correct my approaches thoroughly. Especially the temple ends part. ❤Now I can do it better at home and adjust it myself after ordering online.

    Thanks for the tips. I just got my first pair of Rx glasses and the frames were so crooked I could not wear them. I wasn't able to get back to the local store to get them adjusted for over a week and it would have been helpful if I found this video beforehand.
    Today I was actually searching on how eyeglass places adjust lenses. I was told if the glasses aren't right that can be done, I have progressives and can see far and fine print, but my comptuer screen (mid range) isn't any better than it was without glasses. I'm wondeering if my Rx is wrong or if the lenses can be adjusted enough to fix this issue.

    I assume you can do something similar if the glasses are a little too tight at the temples? They feel like they should bow out about 1/3 of the way from the hinge.

    • @TheAnna554
      @TheAnna554 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@warbyparker I don't think you understood the question, which is the problem I have. The "temple ends" go behind the ear (not really the "temples."). The "bow-out that this customer refers to I think is that the eyeglass frames on both sides press against the side of your head (not your ears). They feel like they are too narrow, or made for a smaller head.

  • @aliceyellowdog
    @aliceyellowdog 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    This is helpful. My new glasses are too tight on the sides - how would I adjust this? Either the temple corners need to open a little wider, or the temple arms need to curve out slightly? Or possibly there's too much curve in the lenses and flattening out the bridge would then give me a little temple breathing room? The home-try-on pair of the same frames fit me perfect, so I'm confident that the width of the frames fit my head. I think I just need an adjustment on my prescription pair that isn't covered in this video. Or should I just try and wear them for a couple of weeks to see if they adjust? I have acetate frames.

    For straightening the frames, she mentions the left side being too high or too low and adjusting the left temple of the frames but if you were to put the glasses in her hands on, she is adjusting the right temple? Am I completely confused? My glasses are crooked (too high on the left/too low on the right) and I'm not sure which way to adjust them based on the video.

    • @ghosty4
      @ghosty4 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Basically, you want to bend them in the opposite way of which they are misplaced. If they are already too high on one side, why would you bend them higher?

    • @myla6135
      @myla6135 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I could make out she had the glasses upside down so to speak. So she was adjusting the left temple and pushing up for down and down for up.
