I work at a WP brick and mortar as an optician, and the durability of the frames is what I’ve been impressed with! I’ve had frames come in with the temples bent every direction from being stepped on, sat on, etc. and those barrels hold up!!! I can usually get them adjusted and back to good as new!
totally agree - i would even vouch for the lenses - I never had to clean them for years! compare this to non-WP lenses I got recently I have to clean **every** day. WPs are 100% low maintenance & quite certain I just got the stock lenses!
These are perfect glasses for contact lens users who just need something for at night. Often insurance won’t cover night time or backup glasses. I even used my Warby Parker glasses for over a week full-time when I was abroad in 2019.
I just got glasses from Warby Parker and I am in love with them. Their unique style, excellent quality and the price is much lower than others stores that I have looked at and that goes especially for Lens Crafters, who I used to use all the time, but they are so much more expensive there even with the 50% off discount that Lens Crafters periodically does on Lens. So, I recommend Warby Parker 100%. I feel high class and stylish wearing these glasses. There name, Warby Parker, is even cool to say. Also, for every pair that someone purchases another pairs gets sent to someone in need of glasses and how great is that...well, so great!
Just got a pair of tinted glasses from Lenscrafters and they were actually $20 less then the tinted glasses I got a few weeks ago from WP! Plus I can see digital screens with them and no rainbow images like the WP pair.
I spent $1500 for Tom Ford glasses 3 months ago and hated them from the first day. My friend brought me to Warby Parker. I got two pairs for $390 and switch off daily. Tom Fords have not left the case since. 🤷🏻♂️
If you live in a Major city, Warby Parker offers the advantage of allowing you the convenience of ordering online, while still giving you access to a retail location for adjustments or returns.
We have one that I just took my two daughters to. I paid only $100 for two pairs of great looking glasses with my insurance. Super impressed and happy with the price! The $100 was for blue light blocker we added to each pair.
Warby Parker is definitely one of the best online eye glass brands. I ordered my first pair from them 3 years ago and loved the frame. There was a minor problem with my prescription when I received them (fish bowl vision) and they put me in contact with the lens specialist who diagnosed the problem over the phone and sent me a second pair. So that experience was great. Overall because I have a high prescription, light sensitivity, and deal with optic side effects from chronic migraines I prefer getting my lenses from an optical just because of the higher quality but I would definitely order frames from Warby Parker again.
Wondering what lens options regarding your migraines works for you...if you don't mind. I'm dealing with that now as I choose new glasses. Light sensitivity and visual auras daily. Thank you...Betty. I currently wear WP glasses.
Just bought my second pair. I have a wacky prescription and they delivered in 4 days. You can't beat that. Good quality and very professional on the phone. They also have a prescription change policy that if your script changes in 12 months after receiving your glasses they will replace them no charge. How can you beat that?
I have a very, very complicated prescription and needed progressives. I went to one of their stores in person and their staff was very helpful, and glasses are sturdy and they got prescription right. With a complicated prescription, price and saving money really important but only of quality is good and they met this well.
One big tip you gave is where do your eyes sit with the glasses on? When choosing glasses, I look for style, durability and quality of the lenses as well as the frame. Of course cost is definitely considered.
I have had a couple of pairs of Warby Parker glasses, and they held up fine. I haven't had a pair in a while, but the anti reflective has been decent. The lens coating that I get on glasses from my doctor's office are noticeably better, but a pair of glasses are also 2-3 times the cost. I think I would miss the hydrophobic, easy to clean lenses, but if I want something a little more trendy that I wouldn't wear as often, I wouldn't hesitate to get another pair of WP.
nice frame choice! i love my WP glasses. I've had them a year now. I got the highest index possible because of my prescription, so my total was closer to 300 dollars. I like how they have narrow and extra narrow frame choices.
I like that they have physical stores (if you happen to live near one) for you to try on in person. For example, their low bridge fit is only in person at the moment, no shipped try ons. And their online phone customer service is excellent.
As someone who had no previous knowledge or interest in eye health or anything like that, I’m thankful that you’re spreading this information in an entertaining form factor, thankyou Dr Eye Health 👌
I’ve been wearing my WP glasses every single day, all day long for the past 4 years and they are still kicking. The only thing is that they’re now pretty scratched and they don’t replace the lenses. They did offer me a discount for brand new glasses though
I had frames that lasted me 5 years & was bummed they don't replace lenses - I can only assume how easy it is to send lenses for specific frames! while I absolutely had a great WP experience, the thought of all the plastic waste because they don't encourage ppl to reuse their frames isn't a great one. I mean, from a biz perspective, isn't replacing lenses an easy, repeatable revenue stream if you sell durable frames which mine proved itself to be? (new frames/lenses I ordered from a local store were more expensive, less stylish, didn't last a year, have a horrible coat and belt out of shape so easily - made me realize how much I miss my WPs & the value they are!)
I had a great experience with the warby Parker frames I bought a couple years ago. I recently bought a pair of prescription sunglasses with my current prescription and the sunglasses I chose automatically came with polarized lenses which is what wanted.
I purchased some Warby Parkers years ago when they first launched. Great service and customer experience…stylish frames, competitive price…they just didn’t fit my face properly out of the box. Maybe it’s easier to adjust them now….
Durability and comfort are essential for me. I'm still wearing the most comfortable pair of glasses that I ever purchased and that was from 8 years ago and 2 glasses since then. They are comfortable and I can't remember going to get them readjusted after the initial fitting. I wear them everywhere and I have no face fatigue trying to keep them in the right spot on my face. I'm desperately trying to find another pair of frames that I can say this about. It's very frustrating.
I’ve had designer and WP before, the huge difference between them is the price. WP acetate and hinges are equally or probably have a better quality than my designers.. and it only cost me 150 and I can just go to their stores to get it size.
I'm a diehard contact lens wearer--I have lenses on my eyes for about 16 or so of my 18 waking hours each day. While eyeglasses from the clinic may be superior in every way, there's no way I can justify $500 or more for a pair of glasses that I wear for an hour or two a day. Maybe I'm the odd one out, but even with the ultra-expensive eyeglasses with their superior lens materials and high-end coatings (yes, I've had them in the past), I still get better acuity from my contacts--making it doubly infeasible for me to spend extra dollars on expensive eyeglasses. I'm so glad places like Warby Parker exist for folks like me.
Yes, glasses give you tunnel vision. I feel like I'm not as aware of my surroundings when I'm wearing glasses and miss subtle social cues with glasses on. Wearing contacts feels like I'm getting the whole wide screen HD experience. The only problem is that I get dry, red eyes using contacts and also, people always think that/ask if I'm on drugs. So it's usually more comfortable for me to wear glasses throughout the day.
Unfortunately for me and my petite face, they inexplicably do not allow the petite sizes in the home try on. And I find that all of their glasses tend to run big.
I was a fan, but after my 4th or 5th pair I’m done. Every single pair had a coating flaking off with the first year or so. Obviously not something they corrected or stopped recommending. The flaking distorted my vision, and too much of an inconvenience to stop in or mail for new lenses that will do the same thing. Assortment got boring & basic pretty fast. Lens quality seemed to get cheaper over time. Nothing there to keep a loyal customer loyal.
My last two pair of glasses have been from Warby Parker and I can confirm that the coating does seem to wear out over time. Not sure if that's because I use antibacterial soap to clean the lenses, or because I had cleaned them using hot water in the shower (I don't do this anymore), or because I rub on the lenses too harshly using a microfiber cloth. Or it could be due to a lower quality coating causing it to fade over time.
finallyyy Warby has a 30 day return policy. When I told them my vision therapy reassessment isn't for another month, they put in my account that I can return/change my prescription for 90 days out Their blue blocking specs line up with Gamer Advantage's
I don't know their blue light blocking tech or what they use, but I have heard good reviews of their lenses. That is great to hear they were so understanding and accommodating for your situation.
I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 4 (I’m 35 now) I look for style and comfort. I have a high prescription so I have to wear glasses 24/7 so I need comfort. All acetate seems to be the most comfortable for me
I have several factors making choosing frames and lenses difficult. Petite face, and high prescription. I typically wear a 48-15-125. Try finding those not in the children’s section! I usually get mine from an eye professional due to the lense type. On a retiree income that can be especially costly. I have in the past purchased my own frames and had them order and install the lenses.
I recently ordered a nice clear acetate frame with 1.61 high-index photochromic blue blocking + UV blocking lenses from Zenni with a super hydrophobic anti-reflective coating for $85. The lens material they use is from MitSui Chemicals and seems to be a modified version of the MR-8 material with an exceptionally high Abbe value similar to Trivex, while having a high index and decent impact resistance. These lenses seem super high-end compared to any other glasses, let alone cheap ones. If I'm not mistaken, the blue blocking and UV blocking is built into the lens material itself, and the super hydrophobic anti-reflective coating is included for free. The lenses were only $40 and they charged $12 extra to process my strong prescription. All in, I got 10% off and free shipping. Exceptional price for something with all the bells and whistles. It may not be EssilorLuxottica name brand, but its still fantastic. Another thing I like about Zenni is that they offer engraving on most of their products for super cheap, and free engraving for rewards members. Nothing feels more satisfying than having your name printed on prescription glasses. Oh and I forgot...they threw in a free premium folding hard case because I bought Kittles collaboration frames.
Having worn glasses all my life, I'm very picky about the fit. I always check frame width, lens size, and the length of the temple bars. Also, because of my high Rx, I look for a sturdy pair. WP customer service steered me away from a flimsy frame to a better, lightweight choice. I'm happy with my new glasses! (frame: Nestor)
I can learn a lot about the world of glasses by watching on this channel, continue to provide useful information, especially for us players in the eyewear business.
I love my warby parker glasses-3 pair. My grandchildren ages 6 and 10 have warby parker glasses. They are sturdy, well priced, warby works with me when they break their glasses. I liked that at the store the optician went over eye glass care with the kids and they have their personal cleaning towel that comes with the glasses. Both love to stop by the store to see what is new and have their glasses adjusted. We were able to get 2 pair for $180.00 for my grandaughter. She is really hard on frames. Altogether our family has 7 pair of Warby Parker glasses.
The price is nice for WB glasses, but I don't like any of their styles. Online ordering worked for me for awhile, but recently my prescription has been wrong. I'll now go to my local optician for a fit, and correct prescription. My local optician even has the glasses ready the same day, and the prices are not very high. It's not worth the headache to save a few bucks ordering online.
Awesome video as always :D Usually the hardest thing for me is finding glasses that are big enough to be comfortable. I have a bulbous head, my old favorite pair of glasses were my Ocean Pacific Sunglasses, one of the very few pairs I was able to find that had excellent UV protection, had the sleek sporty look and fit very nicely. A close friend of mine gifted me a pair of Steve Madden sunglasses that have become my new favorite. They are a little more stylized square frame sunglasses which I never thought I'd like but these frames fit the best I've ever felt. So I gave my old OP glasses to my dad so he'd have a nice protective pair since he was very frugal and anything over $20 was too much for glasses. I do end up with the luxury of trying a lot more frames than most but per usual, 80-90% of the time they're too small for me however it is fun to see and try all the different lens types.
Wow thank you for noticing that! My full prescription makes me feel tired so I often wear contacts without my astigmatism correction and then wear glasses that have my astigmatism correction in those, that way I get crisp 20/15 vision.
I have always had 20/20 vision but I got my vision tested recently and looked like I needed very low prescription RE - 1.25, LE - 0.75. I am. Not looking for fancy glasses, just ones I wear when I drive or distance activities. Warby Parker is an ideal place to get my glasses then 🤓😁
All Polycarbonate Lenses have 100% UV protection , even clear ones. Sunglasses don't expire . if a store charges extra for UV coating on a Polycarbonate Lens, then It's a Scam.
I think one of the main things that I consider when buying anything is sustainably and social responsibility which Warby Parker is excellent at. Plus being a quarter of the price doesn't hurt either.
I've never heard of this brand, but will def check-it-out, but frames sound a bit pricey for 'middle-of-the-road' frames. As for me, I am a bit more limited as to where I can get online glasses as I require horizontal [In] prisms. Both Payne & Zenni offer this at a slight extra charge. Honestly, I'm pretty well sure the blunt of all my future eyewear will be rather limited to polarised sunglasses or both Cx/Rx colourblind Pilestone ones, as the special lens I require ['E'-lens] is specific to blue/yellow CVD, as I am the more rare tritanomaly colourblind. [And I can het this w/ my current Rx added in the lenses no problem at all.]
Zenni optical eyeglasses are made in DanYangCity, China (丹阳). They have a very high turnover of employees because they have No Respect for them. The factory is in China while the American owner with his Chinese wife lives in California, so the Top management office is also in California. Note that the Chinese factory is owned by Zenni. You can check the company info from their website. The Lenses are NOT manufactured by Zenni But sourced from other factories . The Free polycarbonate 1.57 Index Lenses actually costs the factory only $1 a pair to procure. (I'm Chinese. My best friend and roommate used to Work for Zenni China for over 7 years) Zenni always Does Penny-pinching by short-Changing their employees. No annual bonus During Spring Festival , if they do, they only give a $15 Gift certificate . What a joke 😂
Thank you for all your informative videos…can you address issues of fogging or filming on hard contacts after having them inserted for only maybe thirty minutes! So frustrating! Blink works nicely but does not last long and the film is back!
I’ve had the same Welty style WP frames since 2016! They are the best glasses! Unfortunately they stopped refilling new rx on your old frames. Their lenses are better than Drs office.
I have used warby Parker for about 4 years and I love specially when my prescription increases every year so I don’t have to spend that much money every year on glasses and I can use that extra cash on contacts.
Doctor whenever I see my green white coloured towel i see yellow lines in that is that any problem. Just before 1.5 months I went to a ophthalmologist he checked fully and said I just have entopic phenomenon. Only when I see towel it happens why?
I've had WP glasses multiple times and they have all worked well. One time when my prescription was wrong, I returned the glasses for a full refund. This is their policy. They offer a full refund within thirty days, I believe, for any reason.
Your videos are so educational, I really admire doctors like you. I would like to ask if it is a myth that eating parsley daily could improve your eyesight.(I have friends that have reduced their diopter enormously who have eaten a lot of parsley) Is there a correlation between eating it and your eye vision?
My first priority is whether the company is an in-network provider for my vision insurance. Although Warby Parker accepts most vision insurance plans, they may not be an in-network provider which means the customer will pay more out of pocket for glasses/contact lenses.
I'm shopping for a 2nd pair that I use just for computer use as my regular prescription is a progressive. So price is important since those progressives are already expensive, but also quality because I spend so much time in front of several large monitors. I'm hoping WP will be the ticket for this use. My optometrist though is against any online glasses but I think WP might be better than what he imagines. And $150 is a heck of a lot better than $400+.
I look for frames that can hold my prescription and fit on my head without causing migraines. My current pair was a choice between a pair of kids frames with neon rhinestones and super expensive titanium ones. The big frames that are in style right now are very frustrating at a -21.00.
I just did a quick cost total as if I was going to purchase them. And the cost is almost the same as the ones I am getting from my local optometrist. Not really see the benefits of not having much of a frame selection and being almost the same costs. And I can easily and often take them to the optometrist to have them adjusted, etc.
I want to love WP glasses, especially since I need a narrow frame and want a clear plastic frame. They have those. I have returned my pair already, though. Something about them make me dizzy and sick. I have been wearing glasses my entire life. I have some good pairs from eyebuydirect with the exact same prescription and I am totally fine, great vision. Likewise, I have a retail pair (by Polo) and they are perfect as well. Not sure what is going in here. Triple checked everything.
Meh, nice color but way too big frame, I think. Also, Dr. you probably had to type your PD when ordering the glasses, but was there any option to type in your fitting height, or do they set it at the center of the frame?
if you are ordering single Vision Lenses , then yes , they Set it at the Center of the vertical axis. But NOT the horizontal axis, That's why they need your PD pupil distance to determine that. Your PD will NEVER change forever. Once you have it, you should never forget it .
I’d like a video on crossed eyes. In my mid-70s, and after cataract surgery, I suddenly developed crossed eyes and of course, surgery probably isn’t recommended , or approved by Medicare. My eyes naturally converge ~18 inches in front of me. I have 7 (not sure the units) in each lens. They work, more or less…. Thoughts?
hello. i have advanced glaucoma, and would prefer bi focals this time around. at 68, having to constantly switch glasses is a big annoyance. the americas best glasses have worked in the past, but im ready to upgrade to something better. i can only see with my left eye. you also mentioned eye clinic? cost is a concern for me. i have kaiser, but need new glasses now, and cant new glasses thru kaiser for several more months. good video, thanks for making it, and merry xmas to you.
Actually, Zennioptical lenses are far better. That is how I obtain my test lenses. Used to slowly work my way out of myopia. Thanks for your interest and review.
Hello doctor, can I ask you a question? Is it ok if I dont wear my glasses all the time? I have -1,5 diopters and I still see well when Im at the computer or when I do sports and I feel more comfortable without them during these tasks. I asked my eye doctor once and she said its not harmful. Thoughts? I'm 25 and my eyesight hasnt worsened in like 10 years.
I wouldn’t buy them if you don’t live close to one of their stores. You’ll may need to adjust them yourself. The frame had some open caps that made it look weird. The lens didn’t last that long until some scratches showed up. I usually keep the lens looking scratch-less. Other than that they looked great and got a lot of compliments for them.
I have a question for you! I have had migraines all my life, but the last time I had one I noticed that I ended up having floaters black strings and also flashes of light on my right eye, this migraine I still have it after 3 days, I feel a little bit sleepy also, anyway I have been under a lot of stress lately, and I wonder if it all related! Thank you for your response! I enjoy watching your videos!
They do have a 1.74 high-index lens as well, but I think they only recommend it when your prescription is beyond a certain strength. I bought one pair from them 3 years ago. Overall, my experience was great. The antiglare coating did end up starting to peel in the third year but my prescription changed by then anyway.
Hello , thanks for this video. I have a question. How accurate will be a progressive prescription if I buy it online at Warby Parker instead of order them at the physical Store. Online , Warby Parker has Affirm installments. Unfortunately, their stores do not offer installments payment options. Thanks
I tried WP once and found the frame fit well and was durable. Their website found a frame that my thin nose. It's hard to find narrow frames in my local eyeshop. But, my local shop is great in finding me a frame this time. Lens quality was a problem for WP. WP's main market is probably younger buyers with a single correction. I have pretty strong myopia and moderate presbyopia. The WP lenses were not as good as my local shop. Lens quality (accuracy of Rx) is my main reason for purchase.
Hi doctor. My right eye has been infected with the virus. I saw the doctor yesterday and he gave me Xoviral and Lubgel medicine. I have a question. Can I take a bath? Can i wash my eye?
The last set of glasses I bought from my eye doctor didn't fit well at all, and the sales person made the reading part of the bi-focal so small I have to move my head up and down to read. That got me thinking about WP. Personnel change so often in the sales side that I don't feel I get expert sales assistance at the store. So, why not order online? I couldn't likely be less satisfied; maybe I'll be happier?
if you don't wear your prescription , your eyes will get strained , Therefore get worse. So wearing glasses do help in Avoiding your eyes from too much strain.
Hello there, A friend of mine bought a sunglasse's Warby parker, but it felt queer to me, as a Ray-Ban user, the WP sunglasse felt to much light and the lenses like plastic, with no initial graved in it like other brands do, I don't know how they are made, but compared to my Ray-Ban, higherweight, lenses made with glass, the initial signature (RB) graved on it, the WB they didn't feel premium, if you can help me understand, I'm all ears
Well, WP as many brands out there are purposely trying to cut corners and drop some parts of quality in order to sell more product. SO yes, compared to a dedicated Italian made Ray-Ban with glass lenses, they probably wont stand up to quality.
Just wash them with water . if you need to use a detergent, then use a very mild dishwashing liquid . always use the microfiber cleaning cloth to dry the Lenses. Just pat dry, NEVER rub to avoid scratches.
For me price and durability. Which is very variable in store. My cheap Walmart frames last longer than more expensive frames from America's Best. And I can't be buying $100 or more in glasses every year. It takes a while to save up that kind of money.
I'm really having a hard time finding a good pair of progressive lens. I've tried the gamet cheap to pricey but I haven't found one that works 100% well. I'm exhausted 😩
I can tell you I have a friend who buys these glasses as for me I could not I have a weird people distance and I’ve even had mistakes made it an eye clinic or whatever with her making glasses and I get stuck with having to pay for something I can’t see out of so I have to go to the eye doctor and get them thanks for the info.
I have the fletcher glasses from WP. For what ever reason everything is tipsy or warped when I wear them. They make me feel sick and I can feel eye strain. Not sure what the problem is.
Probably has to do with the lenses/ prescription. Did you get them from an in store shop? Either way, perhaps have them checked at the eye doctor who prescribed them.
Today I got in my pair of Bensen Warby Parker glasses. This is my second pair of the same frame. It's been about 3 years since I got my last pair of Bensen glasses. Unlike the previous frames that say made in china, these frames say that they are made in vietnam. I have noticed a degradation in the quality compared to the previous frames. The frames Creek when I pull on them, and the plastics feel lighter overall. The hinges are also not as solid.
That is sad to hear. I know that they are now a public traded company and perhaps the quality did change with a new manufacturer. I know their stocks went down last year but I otherwise don't know much else thats happening with them. Sorry to hear you have not had the same experience.
These glasses look nice when you purchase them but in two years the metal around the plastic frames are greenish and rusty. The lens upon wearing longer also gets dirty very easily. I got the most expensive lens and don't wear my glasses everyday. They are poor quality. My friend warned me that they were poor quality but I went with them anyways. Deeply regret that and I would never repurchase. Spend a bit more a better product unless you want to replace them every year.
Are big glasses coming back into fashion again? From what I see glasses frames with a big cutout for lenses is back in fashion. I've been wearing the smaller professor / letter box style frames with about 15+ years. When I was getting glasses the last time they suggested a frame toe but the top part of the frame was low on my face which I didn't like.
I’ve recently subscribed to your channel and enjoy the knowledge that you bring in an easy to understand format. With that said do you have any personal experience with the quality and durability with Randolph Engineering frames?
Buying online must be a great option, sigh! With needing 12 diopters of base out prism for distance buying online not an option for me, sadly. With that script I also appreciate optometrist advice re size and shape of frames to minimise distortion. Finding a store able to get it right first time (or even second or third!) is an annual issue, as prism requirement alters either in distance or near script (4 diopters base in) most often yearly.
Prism does make things complicated. Sorry to hear you have had such troubles jumping from one store to the next. I hope you can find a rockin good place.
I struggle finding glasses that fit my shape. They tend to be the only brand that have glasses I really enjoy, but wow. Ive never had a SINGLE pair break on me. At all. After 5+ years.

I spent $1500 for Tom Ford glasses 3 months ago and hated them from the first day. My friend brought me to Warby Parker. I got two pairs for $390 and switch off daily. Tom Fords have not left the case since. 🤷🏻♂️
Why didn’t you take them back? Lol seems like a waste of 1500 at the end of the day
If you live in a Major city, Warby Parker offers the advantage of allowing you the convenience of ordering online, while still giving you access to a retail location for adjustments or returns.
@@moreisee Hi Betty. My doctor recommended the Axon Option migraine lenses and I love them they really help with the light sensitivity
@@QueenBloom Thank you Nina. I really appreciate that info!
For the light sensitivity get tinted lenses.
Just bought my second pair. I have a wacky prescription and they delivered in 4 days. You can't beat that. Good quality and very professional on the phone. They also have a prescription change policy that if your script changes in 12 months after receiving your glasses they will replace them no charge. How can you beat that?
Do you have a link to that 12 month thing? I've never seen it
@@Lewis-fr9muThey changed it to 30 days after receiving the pair. Beyond that it is a discounted paid lens replacement option.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
nice frame choice! i love my WP glasses. I've had them a year now. I got the highest index possible because of my prescription, so my total was closer to 300 dollars. I like how they have narrow and extra narrow frame choices.
Thanks! Glad they're working well for you!
Excellent customer service every time I step in the store. Bought multiple pair and they’ve held up well. Wish they did tinted lenses.
1. Frame style. 2. Lens quality and durability for anti-glare, thickness, and anti-scratch.
That means a lot. Thank you!
I took mine to Costco and they were able to replace the lenses for me, for a fee.
I had a great experience with the warby Parker frames I bought a couple years ago. I recently bought a pair of prescription sunglasses with my current prescription and the sunglasses I chose automatically came with polarized lenses which is what wanted.
Can you read digital screens with them on? What color tint?
It's very frustrating.
what brand are they?
I’m on my second pair of Warby Parker glasses and they have been awesome, from the quality of the glasses to the customer service.
How long do they last you?
Comfort and style, I recently got an OVVO frame and I love it, I've never worn anything like it before.
That's awesome! Yes, I love Ovvo! Super cool.
@@DoctorEyeHealth I recommend them to all my patients wanting style and comfort.
Unfortunately for me and my petite face, they inexplicably do not allow the petite sizes in the home try on. And I find that all of their glasses tend to run big.
Yeah I noticed that some of their frames are not available for the at home try on. Kinda frustrating.
Try the narrow or medium size
I was a fan, but after my 4th or 5th pair I’m done. Every single pair had a coating flaking off with the first year or so. Obviously not something they corrected or stopped recommending. The flaking distorted my vision, and too much of an inconvenience to stop in or mail for new lenses that will do the same thing. Assortment got boring & basic pretty fast. Lens quality seemed to get cheaper over time. Nothing there to keep a loyal customer loyal.
I appreciate that feedback! Perhaps I will do an updated video as I have more experience with the lenses.
@@Xe054 thanks for confirming. Wanting to try Warby parker, but I guess I'll look for something else.
Thanks for that info! No more WP for me.
I have a pair of Warby Parker glasses. They are great!! I’m about to get another pair. The ones you’re wearing the Gillian 🥰. I love the look of them
This is tremendous. Esp for an OD in private practice. Kudos Dr. Eye Health!!
finallyyy
Warby has a 30 day return policy. When I told them my vision therapy reassessment isn't for another month, they put in my account that I can return/change my prescription for 90 days out
Their blue blocking specs line up with Gamer Advantage's
I don't know their blue light blocking tech or what they use, but I have heard good reviews of their lenses. That is great to hear they were so understanding and accommodating for your situation.
A review of Zenni Optical online glasses would be a nice comparison.
Try Costco‼️ my progessive transition lenses + frame was $259. I also prefer a small frame.
On the positive side, a small frame means thinner glasses
Choose frames for Asian sizes
I have had these glasses for the last 3 years every year I get a new pair. .very durable never scratch . Great choices love the try on at home 6:29
Durability is what i look for. Almost every pair i have gotten have snapped even when i'm not rough with them.
I've had a few pair of progressive with a astigmatism. They've been fine. I like them.
You mentioned in a previous video that you’re very myopic, but these glasses have almost no distortion in them? Are you using them with contacts?
Wow thank you for noticing that! My full prescription makes me feel tired so I often wear contacts without my astigmatism correction and then wear glasses that have my astigmatism correction in those, that way I get crisp 20/15 vision.
@@DoctorEyeHealth Wow, that’s really very clever!
Dr could you do a video on digital hi definition lenses vs traditional lenses. I.e clarity, distortion, peripheral vision etc?
I have always had 20/20 vision but I got my vision tested recently and looked like I needed very low prescription RE - 1.25, LE - 0.75. I am. Not looking for fancy glasses, just ones I wear when I drive or distance activities. Warby Parker is an ideal place to get my glasses then 🤓😁
I purchased frames from WP 2 years ago, I always have lens placed by my eye doctor..the frames have held up, I am tough on my glasses.
Please Discuss Sunglasses expiration and if they can re apply UV coating if its faded
The coating peels from improper cleaning.
You rinse them, wash them with dish soap, and pat them dry.
My best friend and roommate used to Work for Zenni China for over 7 years)
Zenni always Does Penny-pinching by short-Changing their employees.
Glad to hear you have had a good experience!
@@DoctorEyeHealth Please Discuss Sunglasses expiration and if they can re apply UV coating if its faded ... thanks :)
Warby Parker also sell contact lenses now. It would be great to see a review about them.
I look for low bridge glasses - eye lashes hit lenses since nose pad stems have been cut in half
I have a higher cylinder. -5.50-3.50x10.
I need progressive now as well. I love varilux
Thank you for your unbiased product reviews
Actually,
Zennioptical lenses are far better.
Polycarbonate and most Index 1.67 do block UV by default...
right!
Polycarbonate blocks UV 👍
So don't get fooled by other online stores that offer UV coating as an Extra.
It's a Scam.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience here, Mark!
They have a 1.74 index too. Maybe it’s not offered online?
I have never seen that high of an index online. Anywhere.
6:20 I look for design, then material(s).... I like simple, and clean lines. I prefer titanium, or some beautiful acetates.
Good choice!
My younger self needs some explaining to do... how am i even subscribed to this channel? I dont even wear glasses or contact lenses🙁
Well I appreciate you being here anyways!!! Thanks Robby.
They're okay. I found sithon a year the color started fading but they held up for two years
The number one thing I look for is the lens, I like CR39 and an antireflective.
Very helpful. How about progressive lenses for WB? I have been using single vision lenses from WB for a long time and they work fine.
Hello doc ,does wearing glasses with lower prescription help strenghten eyes or does it only increase myopia?
if you don't wear your prescription , your eyes will get strained , Therefore get worse.
I love my Ray Bans! Been a fan for decades! Just got a new pair and going for another soon.
I have trouble keeping my Warby Parker lenses clean. What is the best way to keep them clean?
Just wash them with water .
if you need to use a detergent, then use a very mild dishwashing liquid .
always use the microfiber cleaning cloth to dry the Lenses. Just pat dry, NEVER rub to avoid scratches.
Maybe it’s in your channel I’ll have to dig, but through what provider were the Tom fords and lenses picked from?
For me price and durability. Which is very variable in store. My cheap Walmart frames last longer than more expensive frames from America's Best. And I can't be buying $100 or more in glasses every year. It takes a while to save up that kind of money.
I'm really having a hard time finding a good pair of progressive lens. I've tried the gamet cheap to pricey but I haven't found one that works 100% well. I'm exhausted 😩
1 Look (style)
2 weight
3 price
4 durability
What's so funny is that I have an at home box right now and the gillian in that color is the exact frames I picked as my favorite hahah
I appreciate you sharing your experience. Thanks Carol.
@@DoctorEyeHealth unfortunately there isn’t a shop nearby. I’ll have to see if another office will check them out.
Hi Doctor! Can medical contact lenses be colored?
Thank you.
Progressives cost a lot more, especially high index. Still a good value. I wonder about the quality of their progressive glass?
Hey Allen my eyes make me always look high can you explain what this is they aren't red but there very low
