I'm currently quarantined in my college dorm :( In this video, I'll show you what I've been eating in quarantine, answer some of your questions from the comments section of my last video and talk about what I've been doing to try and stay busy.

My advice if you end up having extra water after the 2-week period would be to walk around and give them to homeless people. It's not food but water is still important and filtered water is often impossible to find !

Do they not give you a menu to choose from? My picky ass could never handle just being given random meals. I hate most everything (I'm a huge texture eater) and could never deal with that. I would literally starve lmao.

I would hate these random meals its not because i truly hate dry bagels and oatmeal. She actually got lucky this other guy from NYU this year quartining didn't get food until very late at night or later that usual.
Nah, they wrong for that..that breakfast..😂 As much as tuition cost you should select your own meals from the menu and then they deliver it to your room

Just collect the water bottles and then take them to Walmart when you are done quarantining and then you can get money for them.
Giving everyone like $500 for grub hub would be so much easier for nyu instead of delivering food and possibly missing someone not not giving the right thing

The desk next to your bed will probably be your roomates so. You should ,if youre allowed, switch closet or smthing so your roomate doesnt have to study next to your bed.💕💕💕

I didn’t care about the dorm quarantine until the food was jacked. Needless to say I went back home and am eating spaghetti so I think was worth it. It’s safer, cheaper, and more convenient this way.

Do the students from high risk states have roommates? Ik some colleges aren't allowing roommates while others are
yes, the capacity in each building has been reduced but some people who chose to still have roommates (regardless of where they came from) but during quarantine, only 1 person is allowed in each room so some people are in temporary rooms right now

The food coming individually packaged is likely because they came that way from the suppliers and it makes it more hygienic during a pandemic. I'm annoyed by the amount of plastic too but I see the reasons they made those choices.

Lol i understand your problem with plastic. But why not just recycle it? I think its super cool they brought you so much water.
You can recycle the water bottles but not the plastic wraps the food comes in
I have always wondered what is the recycling possibilities in the US, because it seems people just stuff all their trash in one bag? I live in Finland and we recycle everything: glass, metals, plastic, biowaste, cardboard etc. goes to a different bin. Nothing goes to a landfill anymore. Plastic drink bottles and metal cans have a deposit that you get back when you recycle them. Is it just the dorms that don't separate the trash or is it a whole statewide thing?
Snoufox that’s really interesting! Only certain plastics can be recycled in the US. That usually includes water bottles, glass, cans, and certain plastic containers. Just regular plastic wrap you can’t recycle. On containers and bottles and stuff there’s a number that determines whether or not it’s recyclable (you can only recycle certain numbers).
@@lilafertani1921 The recycling of plastics in Finnish households started in 2016, so it's quite a new thing in this nationwide capacity. But for example already 90% of plastic bags used in Finland are made of recycled plastic. It's really been down to finding the methods and products which can utilize the recycled plastic that it has taken so long to have this system, the collecting of that plastic waste isn't so much a trouble here. There are still plastics that you can't recycle (like PVC) but almost every plastic packaging material you can have in a household (food packaging, shampoo and detergent bottles, etc) can be recycled.

If I knew I was going to be quarantined to my room for two weeks I would NEVER trust the school to feed me. It’s so easy to get two weeks worth of food that you like even if you don’t have a fridge or microwave. I have no idea why people trusted the school.

It’s not a matter of “”privilege””. it’s the fact that vegetarians/vegans are getting meals with meat, muslims are getting pork in their food, and other dietary things aren’t being met by the college and they should really be ashamed of themselves. it just seems like ur not paying attention to their complaints at all
