All my past RVs there was just a water tank and a neck and a hose and if you had a full strength hose going into that tank, it would just fill faster that’s just what it was but I have a new RV and I traded it the same as all the rest that I’ve had the last 40 years and no of course not and messed up my water pump so they’ve done something different and whatever it is. I’m just fed up with it. I’m bringing a couple of gallons of water that I can wash my hands in between RV parks and then when I get to the RV park I hook up the water and I just put it on Citi® and it works perfect. Mine no longer has the vent. And the tank leaks out in a few hours so no point in. Filling it
Mine is a 1972 dodge and the fill tube and cap looks like it’s for a gasoline tank, but it leads to a clear plastic water tank, there is another large metal tank in the back . I don’t know what that one is for.
Hi! We have recently purchased a Starcraft Super Lite 212FB that does not have a gravity fill. How do we fill the fresh water tank without a pressurized hose (e.g., if we're set up at a dry campsite and need to refill from a water tote)? Some people suggest various water pumps, but we haven't been able to find any that are actually made to pump water for drinking. Would appreciate your insight!

It’d be nice to mention a pressure regulator or water filter.
When hooking up to a campground yes. This is a gravity fill system so a pressure regulator is not needed. The water tank itself we do not recommend drinking from so filtering it is kind of pointless. But you can if you want. We just do not recommend it
I have not found one video that has stated the diameter of the thread. This is very frustrating.

How do you fill a fresh water tank without hose pressure? (e.g. campgrounds sometimes shutoff the water at campsites due to freezing).

What if the water doesn't come out of the over flow vent? Mine just backs out of the main fill port?
Something is clogging it or it has a kink in it would be my guess

I've got a 1999 coachmen santara and it doesn't have a freshwater inlet like that in the video just a city inlet. Or am I just not looking in the place?
Not sure what options would be on that. We did not sell them then or now. I would think one would be on there but not sure

I am the same. I have a 2001 Coachman. I think it has to have a valve that needs to go from the city water inlet to open or close the holding tank.
How do you drain that tank? Black tank or gray? And is that different then if you have a water supply at the campground?
Draining the fresh tank is done from the fresh tank drain typically located under the trailer
Draining the black and grey tank we have a video on that maybe able to answer the questions better. search for Keystone RV Center black tank flush
When you are connected at the campground you will not be using the fresh tank it is using the city water pressure

How do you empty the holding water tank if you only use some of it on a trip
There is typically a drain under the trailer depends on the brand trailer. What do you have?

I have a 2021 cruiser aire when I go fill my fresh water tank no water enters the tank. Its like if you blow into a coffee mug and the mug is sealed around your face. You get no air flow. No water enters the tank. I have to hook up the the trailer to the hitch take it around the block then am able to fill tank. Any suggestions 🤔
Be sure to open the water faucet inside the RV to let the air pass out as you are filling with water
@@marianbailey4347 interesting theory ill give it a shot. I think there's a ball that gets stuck so water to flow back but not even the manufacturer can give a general idea. They say to take it to my dealer. Thanks for the tip.

From a well water, do I add bleach or vinegar to disinfect after dewinterizing video?
I do not but some do. Would not say you are wrong. I would use a product designed for it but Know a ton of people that use bleach

I fill my tank up this exact way but I get a lot of back pressure and water spews back out of the inlet before the tank is full. Any reason why?
Could just be air pushing out mixing with water. I have been told its call it burping...It could be the water tank vent/breather is blocked or kinked. Could be as simple as mud wasps nest clogging up. You can try blowing the vent (typically top left of fill inlet) with air or water at first. If not check the piping from the inside access panel
Open the water valves inside to let the air get out
