Having personally knocked out over 84 000km on a tiger with ZERO problems, I can say it was a very reliable bike.

Gman76 I have a tiger 800 and up to now have had oil leak from cam cover ,oil leak from site glass and oil leak from clutch cover.All started at 13000 mile very impressed till then as performed and as a fantastic gearbox but now selling and going to BMW 850 gs .
This was best synchronisation of all time 1:53

Brilliantly done review....it's disappointing that Tiger doesn't get tubeless spoke rims which even comes standard on the V-Strom 650!! Ditto the Africa twin.

Tiger 800 was originally a response to the BMW F800GS. So to say this 850 was made to beat Triumph at its own game is somewhat disingenuous.

BMW is good due to a reason is that if we are driving on ofroad mode in tiger and the rpm goes above 5000 it doesn't off properly we have to off it manually whereas if it is BMW and the same thing happens it will automatically of we did not have any need to off it manually

For Indian conditions and roads, there is no better adv than V-strom 650, sure there are better bikes, but its mostly about the feel good factor rather than outright capabilities.
Still confused. Which should I choose? I loved tiger for its sound and looks but BMW is leading the way in terms of features now.

BMW seems to have some beer with less heating in and electronics.. even if it is soft roader.. but they did not get the price right again

can't the wheels of tiger be switched with the bmw's one, so that you can have tubeless tires.
Rather buy the Xrx which comes with factory fitted tubeless tyres
The excess heat from the Tiger, seems to be a universal complaint; is there any part that can be added to reduce or divert this heat ?
Now it's time for xca 1200 to go against gs Rallye.
The tiger's headers and pipes look quite badly tarnished. How old was this bike? I wonder why this happens to all the triumphs.
The engine makes some serious heat that's for sure.

can you or anyone suggest a bike that fulfills the following (budget 5-15 Lakhs):
1. Stand out Looks (like sport super bikes & not like Bullets/Harley Bobber/speedmaster)
2. Comfortable Handle Bar (no aggressive Riding stance)
3. Comfortable for Pillion Rider (female)
4. Preference : 1st : Full fair , 2nd : Naked but aggressive looks)
5. Capable to Tour. (off road capability is not a must)
FYI : rider at 6 feet 2 inches - Athletic Build, Pillion at 5 feet 7 Inches)

Maybe you can go for the Triumph Street Triple or the street twin.
Interceptor 650 will do fine. it can do better than bikes costing 8-10 lakhs for ur preference except looks and no need for even 5 lakhs. but since u gave budget. yamaha mt-09 or street triple rs

Worst of a bike bcz of its huge weight and less power n torque ..... Anyone can easily be tired out riding that bike for long hours ...... So the purpose is defeated as adv bikes are bought mainly for comfort n to cover long distance with peace of mind ....
