This video reminds me of fantastic journey in California vividly. I rent a car, traveling alone. From San Fransisco down to LA along the California Highway 1, then turned to Las Vegas and Hoover dam, after that drove to Yosemite from the east entrance and back to SFO. That is the most amazing 9 days in my life. Next time, I will come, and follow the same roads and steps again to travel in California, but with more finance support and more days. God bless United States. God bless California.

I don't feel there were any particularly insightful tips, but I still enjoyed the photography and the absolutely stunning scenery. I live in the UK, but was briefly in Cali last year, and the landscape completely blew me away. Really hope I get to go see a little more some day.
Absolutely loved this video! You didn't rely on flashy editing or trendy transitions (while the editing was awesome), but you focused more on the story and it was incredibly refreshing. You definitely gained a subscriber! :)
I also live in SoCal and seen most of these places by motorcycle and it's always a thrill to explore them all. Appreciate all your videos uploaded and they're brilliantly edited. You're gifted at it-don't stop now!
I'm leaving for Cali on this Friday from Wrightsville Beach , North Carolina and I can't wait. Its such a beautiful place I just want to cruise on the Pacific Ocean highway and make it to see some gigantic trees 😍😍😍
Nicely done! My first real "California Road Trip" was back in 1991. I'd rented a Ford Thunderbird from Hertz in Sacramento, which my Mom thought was silly, since I had a 2 year old car, but I decided I didn't want to drive a stick and it was only $25/day for the car on my 4 day rental. Since that trip, I've done at least 50 other California Road Trips, mostly in my own car, but several in rentals. Been all over the state, and there is LOTS more I need to see. Best one I've done? Drove my 2001 Chrysler Sebring Convertible from Sacramento, down to San Francisco, down Hwy 1 to San Diego, took in a Padres game at Petco Park and then quickly made it back to Sacramento so I could work. Top down, driving south on Hwy 1 is heaven! Lake Tahoe comes in a close second, up/down US 50 from Sacramento. I'll be back in California later this year for yet another fun ride!
That's really cool. 50 road trips in one state sounds like a lot, but knowing how much there is to see in just the few trips I've done, it sounds great. I still need to get down to San Diego. And Tahoe is one of my favorite places too. Thanks for sharing.
I just moved to California from Michigan, I did the same you did! Plus I had no idea and was bummed when I found out the water is so bone Chilling and freezing. lol NEW sub!
Very cool! I've also been to Vietnam and really liked it. I want to go back and explore more of the country. And I've still never been to Europe, but Stockholm looks amazing. Too many countries and not enough time to see them all!
I took pretty much the same roadtrip last summer and loved it so much that I’m flying to California again this summer! I’m flying from Europe for 300€ round trip :) We slept in Airbnb only which was MUCH cheaper than a hotel - especially if you are more people! Also on the first day in San Francisco we couldn’t see the bridge neither 😁
dude. you have so much talent. please come back. :) I still want to see the rest of LA neighborhoods and more videos of California. your road trips are amazing also. please come back :) so sad that this didn't pay out for you to keep you doing more of this really amazing videos. Hope that one day you will start again and make more of these unbelievable videos.
I was so worried about my Kia making the trip and I'm so glad that's what you had! It's same model and everything. Nice to know my Kia can handle it if I decide to take her :D
Cool! We love your California road trip video. Those helpful tips for travelling are really awesome. We can't wait to see more of your videos soon. Thanks for sharing Randy! :D
bruh! you just made me Subscribe your Chanel!! love your video I hardly subscribe people's Chanel but your content, the time duration and how you narrate the story and show cool places :)
...SUPERB! I like the story telling, the music, the shots, the group, and just ALL OF IT!!! THANKS for sharing your VIDEO....I was searching about California and happen to see ur vlog. . .i'm coming to Cali this February!!!! can't wait to see... NEW SUBSCRIBER HERE..
Great tips, especially the one of under planning. You are right about that. Its about the moment and where it takes you. Thinking of doing a coastal road trip.
Thanks! Yeah they are some of the best moments. Where are you thinking of going? I assume you've done quite a bit of travel already because of your username.
+Road Trip Randy, yes I have traveled a lot but didn't focus to much on making videos in the past. I just like to enjoy my trips. I am planning mini weekend road tips to explore all of California's coastal region. forgot to mention that I like your "bring a hippie " remark. I just recruited mine.
I thumbed up. You missed... Trees of Mystery, Shasta Caverns, Patrick's point, Burney Falls, Mount Shasta ski hills, Half Moon Bay, Fisherman's wharf SF, Winchester museum, my house... Even Crater Lake in Oregon is priceless. YOU even missed Highway 36 west from Red Bluff to Fortuna. Look forward to seeing more in next video... Cool trip. 😏 I'm happy you got to see Redwood and Sequia and Yosemite is Yosemite... GORGEOUS AS ALWAYS!!
Thank you for the video, I enjoyed. Was in Beatty, NV this past September but did not venture into Death Valley. Now that I’ve seen your video, will have visit for sure! Fun to see the pic’s of the ghost town outside Beatty, having been there.
Hello Randy. I loved your video! Thanks for sharing. I am not from the West Coast but I have visited California on a number of occasions and I love it. One of my goals is to someday take a road trip on the California coast, beginning at the San Fran area and going south all the way to San Diego and checking out places like Santa Cruz, Monterey, Big Sur, San Simeon, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura County, etc. Anyway, thanks for the positive video!
Cool! That sounds like a really nice trip down the coast, especially if you can take your time at each place. We drove through some of those, but couldn't stop. Thanks for watching!
Road Trip Randy I am working on planning one but found myself in a youtube hole and there you were. I want to go from San Fran and drive along the coast and end in Vancouver.
I my experience, the vehicle chosen for the road trip has a much bigger impact on the trip than shown here. Any 4WD SUV will greatly open your experience to camping vs. hotel or "sleeping in a KIA".
That's exactly what i want to do in the near future. Except its just going to be me on my motorcycle and filming my experiences. And skateboarding lol. Great video man!
Thank you for tips.Nice video! Which car do you recommend for rent for one week and which month is good to visit west coast(including LA and Yellowstone) ?
Depends what you're doing/how much you're bringing. Any rental car should be safe- but if you're traveling with others and your budget isn't tight, I'd recommend something like a mid-size SUV. It'll give you some room. Summer/fall is nice. LA gets really hot in the summer, but northern CA is a little cooler.
Again, great video. The only thing that I would suggest is that you lower your background music because it makes it very hard to hear what you are saying. Most of us are here because we want to learn how to do things from other people's perspective. Thanks for posting so many great videos.
Thanks for the feedback. I have heard that feedback before on this video too, so I know it's legit, but on my end the music/voice levels sound okay (on phone and computer). I wonder if it's certain speakers? I definitely keep it in mind for future videos though. Thanks for watching.
About to go to Cali.we were going to road trip but are flying. So we just need to make an itenary and figure out place to stay and transportation. This helped lol. Figured out the cost and spending money.
Hey! I love your video!! I'll be going up there in san francisco in a month. I'm from san diego and I was wondering what your itinerary was cause I'm planning to do the same since I'll be driving up there. 😁
So doing this sooooon, even if alooone, sounds so much fuuun, ex tv business too, now freelance, nobody is my boss but I am still poor :), but free, yay can't wait...and yes, you have the most beautiful place in the world...planning to move there, can't wait ! THank u guys...ur hippie tag is kind of cheesy...being in the moment is hippie, such a funny world. Thank u, it was fun ! :)
Started and ended in LA. Not every stop, no- but the general places we went to were: Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Shasta, Avenue of the Giants, San Francisco, and Big Sur
We plan to visit CA in november ( long trip from Cyprus island in Europe) how is the weather during this month. I just hope it wouldn't be too rainy or cold because we would like to do a motorcycle road trip
In SoCal November is when the weather starts getting chilly, but not cold. Northern Cal, I'm not exactly sure. Rain is pretty rare here. Usually we get the most rain in the winter/spring. Hope you have a good trip!
Nice work! Do you have a blog where I can check out the places you went to? I'm from the Philippines so I really, REALLY want to maximize my road trip in California and probably other states as well if time permitting :)
I had one, but I don't really update it anymore and I don't think I wrote about this trip in detail. I can tell you where I went though: Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Shasta, Avenue of the Giants, San Francisco, and Big Sur. If I could only choose one it would be Yosemite. Hope you have a great road trip!
I really wish I could do what you do! This was a great and interesting video to watch. I just don’t live in California. I live in Rhode Island. But I hope in the future things will work out for travel.
Nice video. What would you consider the most distinct activity tourist should enjoy in this area? Do travel along with us too on our channel! Great to explore places together.
The state of California is beautiful, but it's challenging to live here. If you want to live on the CA coast, bring your A game. Most of you will have to go back home.
Thanks! They were a lot of work and I wasn't really enjoying making them as much as I thought I would, to be honest. I might pick them back up eventually though.

California's landscape definitely does not disappoint. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Lance! It was fun to make. Story was definitely the goal with this one.

Wow, thanks Johan!
This trip looks so wonderful!
Thanks! Where did you go for most of your trips?
I always change of country for my trips, but there is two months I was at Vietnam during 3 weeks. It's been amazing!!
Btw I would like to go a second time at Stockolm (in suede). This capital is my favorite!
Very cool! I've also been to Vietnam and really liked it. I want to go back and explore more of the country. And I've still never been to Europe, but Stockholm looks amazing. Too many countries and not enough time to see them all!
Haha indeed :)

I took pretty much the same roadtrip last summer and loved it so much that I’m flying to California again this summer! I’m flying from Europe for 300€ round trip :)
We slept in Airbnb only which was MUCH cheaper than a hotel - especially if you are more people! Also on the first day in San Francisco we couldn’t see the bridge neither 😁
Sounds great! Hope you have a great time again.

Looking at doing this same type of road trip. Where did you end your trip? Do you have a list of spots you stopped at?
Started and ended in LA. Not every stop, no- but the general places we went to were: Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Shasta, Avenue of the Giants, San Francisco, and Big Sur

No problem! :)

Nice video. What would you consider the most distinct activity tourist should enjoy in this area? Do travel along with us too on our channel! Great to explore places together.
could you recommend a good place where I can rent a car for 1 - 2 weeks?
I was hoping for more advice! I'm bringing my kids from TX and that didn't help at all! Great shots though!
+Rachel Boat I'm sorry I disappointed you :(
Hi ,What program you use to edit videos? thank you :)
Hi. Adobe Premiere Pro!
Loved the video!! I have a question. Whats the place at 4:23-4:24
McWay Falls - Big Sur!
The music is louder than your voice!
So true research budget and enjoy the moment.
In Russia,in the Crimea, the same beauty)only there's such a huge and powerful trees.
Great video !! inspiring
thank you!
wow how long does it take you to edit these videos?
Usually a few days or a few weeks, depending on how busy I am with work and stuff.
The state of California is beautiful, but it's challenging to live here. If you want to live on the CA coast, bring your A game. Most of you will have to go back home.
Nice story telling and thxs for following me on Instagram! Keep it up! 👊🏾
+Jtrvls The Wrld thank you!
Hi,
Where did you stay when you went to Yosemite?
We didn't :( We drove out of the park that night and stayed in a hotel a little ways north.

Road Trip Randy thanks for the response I hope you do but I can understand that it was very professional looking which must take a lot if hard work
Love this video💟
Thanks Maria!
Great editing

Is eating out once a day considered budgeting?
When you’re on vacation, I’d say so? Sure you can do it cheaper but grocery store or gas station food every day gets old fast.
San Jose is 40 minutes away from San Francisco why did you not go there?
Just didn't have time unfortunately. Wanted to spend as much time as possible in Big Sur.
Hey, great advice.
Thanks!
Love travel guides
Thank you!
