I have the 2019 Crosstrek, Same cool color. I love it, The best handling vehicle I have ever had. I get 35 MPG driving on the Dallas freeways, It is great for camping and going off road to parks and camp grounds. I have slept in it many times in the middle of no where, Has enough room for me.
I had it down to a Crosstrek or Hyundai Kona. Crosstrek is a capable vehicle, but I just couldn't tolerate the lack of power so I got the Kona today after evaluating both cars. Time will tell if I made a good choice. They both have pros and cons.
I had a 2017 Crosstrek Limited for about 6 months and I absolutely fell in love. The 2018 is so much better and more updated. I am waiting until 2019 to get one because the 2018 is the first year for the 2nd generation. I always been a Cadillac Escalade, Tahoe kind of guy since 1998 and never considered anything else. I presently own a 2016 Tahoe LT and 2008 Escalade Sport. I had the Escalade since 2008 and the 2016 Tahoe is a lease. I hate the way the Tahoe drives and the Escalade is not appealing to me anymore, it is more of a middle aged mans truck. I love the way the Crosstrek feels and handles also not expensive on gas, we named the 2017 zippy.
Thanks for sharing. Looks like you have a premium model, correct? Is the backlighting on the tach and speedometer red? I used to have a 13 Impreza and mine had red backlighting.
I have a 2018 Subaru Impreza got it 3 months ago and tomorrow it gets dropped off at Subaru, it seems to be ticking louder than a normal Subaru and it makes a noise when dropping from 3500 rpm to 2900 rpm. Pretty sure it’s the heat shield causing the sound.
Cosmo Fitz my parents had older models, the CVT has vastly improved, still a little lag between P and D engaging but it’s fine and quick in the Norma driving. Also, don’t buy/not buy a vehicle based on where the gas cap is, that’s the last thing that should be on your radar.
Really great car, except for that everlasting oil leaking and consumption problem on Subaru's boxer engines. Sooner or later, they will leak and cost you a lot of money. I can't understand why, after many lawsuit settlements on this issue, Subaru has not really fixed the problem. Maybe boxer engines cannot avoid leaking due to their design. I would love to buy the XV, but I'm so afraid it will leak.
My wife and I have a '16 we bought new... three years later.. still love it! Congratulations on your Crosstrek!

Hi John great video. I have recently bought a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. Can you please share where did you buy the steering wheel protector? Thank you.

John C how are you feeling about your choice after a couple of weeks now?
I thought about a Kona. How do you like it so far?
I have finally decided against the Crosstrek. Engine and CVT issues is too much to over look. Kona is in the works now.
I debated on both too, went with the Crosstrek, the Kona's design was too radical for me, but it's all personal styling preference

2019 Crosstreks are already being sold. They started about a month ago around here.
I like my Crosstrek also. Thanks for the video.

Does yours have shifter lights or no
What kind of steering wheel cover is that?

Yep NASA had the same problem.
socks with sandals are unacceptable my man lol
Steve Foley stinky sandals and sweaty feet are always worst than others opinions of your comfortable fashion senses!
How tall are you?
I really hope they have improved their CVT, or you will change your mind. Google it before you buy. Fuel fill on passenger side is deal breaker.
