    That is a cool video mate. I am currently trying to decide between bows, crossbows or spears, as I like kiting builds. Could you comment a bit on how do you see your choice of playing spear? Which matchups do you like and which do you avoid picking? What's the largest IP difference which you would try to take on?

    • @VicZaneGaming
      @VicZaneGaming  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Glad you liked the video! I am absolutely addicted to the spear and happy to have chosen it. The matchups that spear doesn't usually want to take unless there's a good IP advantage are builds that like to stand in one place and do a ton of damage (most crossbow builds, fire staffs). Curse staffs can also be really difficult. Everything else is fair game. Probably most pvp profit on the 1h spear in the mists will come from swords, daggers, axes and frost staffs. It will take a whole separate video to go deeper into all specific matchups.

    • @aistisgodliauskas5411
      @aistisgodliauskas5411 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@VicZaneGaming i was surprised that you said that you get pvp profit from swords. I really struggle with swords, especially dual swords, as they have too many tools to close the gap. The E is 15 sec, therefore overlaps with spear e 20 sec cooldown. Could you maybe do a video on the matchups and how you deal with them? Thank you!

    Ive been solo player in albion nearly two years, best weopens to rank as a solo for me, in hindsight should be
    1 druidic staff
    2 carving sword.
    You as solo should spec up carving sword to 100 with points while using druidic to fame farm, you will not regret it cause it will save you from gankers when gathering and transporting and also a strong pvp and zvz weapon. Your third and fourth weapon to spec will be shadowcaller and batlleaxe. Thats just my opinion after specing up to 100 in east 1st battleaxe, 2nddruidic, 3rd shadowcaller.

    Okay so i started out solo on the eu server with 1h cursed staff with interest in solo pvp with and without ratting in mind. I now am also interested in carving sword but my warlock level is 65 and spec in 1h cursed is 60. I am shying away from switching because of the lack of spec in lets say the carving sword. How much am i losing for switching now? Or dies it become easier to farm spec in diff weapons once i max my first weapon? I also want to play shadowcaller, man, too many interesting and fun choices :D

    • @VicZaneGaming
      @VicZaneGaming  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is no mechanic to make famefarming easier but carving sword itself is definitely much easier to fame up than 1h curse because you can kill mobs decently well. It should also become slightly easier because you get better at fighting mobs while keeping your surroundings in mind to survive other players.
      You don't lose anything from switching as you can always continue your warlock gaming. Only consideration is that while your spec is low, it's probably best to not do too much pvp as you will need more expensive items to reach same IP as other, higher spec players.

    • @VicZaneGaming
      @VicZaneGaming  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah absolutely. Some builds and weapons have simpler learning curves but generally it is very normal that it takes a lot of time to start killing in pvp. This is mostly because there are so many different weapons, builds, spells and interactions that it's impossible to understand and get used to all of them fast. I'm sure that when you are fighting an enemy who is using the build you already know well, you have a much much better winrate than against something unfamiliar.

    The thing I find annoying is I really want to play shapeshifter, I've always been maining druid in wow and shapeshift-a-like in any other game, but in Albion a 4.0 prowling staff costs 30k more silver than a full bloodletter 4.0 set.
    So I feel forced to play other weapons because I dont have the economy to keep running a 150k+ build vs a 50k build.
    (I dont enjoy running yellow zones because it feels like getting cucked fame and silver wise compared to black zone where it sometimes feels like getting kicked in the dick when 8.3 players think they're cool and ganks a 4.0 player, but at least there's sometimes proper pvp and better silver & fame per h.
    So should I just stick with BL until I have enough economy to try other things?

    • @VicZaneGaming
      @VicZaneGaming  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If I were you, I'd prioritise being within my economic means. Even if you don't die, risking too much relative to overall bank value makes you perform worse in pvp. But making enough silver to buy about 20 tier 4.1 sets shouldn't be a big problem.
      However, I also can't imagine playing a build that doesn't feel fun. If you are not enjoying bloodletter that much, maybe there are other things to try that will be both cheap-ish and enjoyable playstyle - dual swords, 1h spear, 1h fire, wildfire, battleaxe - all can be decently cheap and get you valuable pvp even if you just go with 4.1 . There really isn't much you can do with 4.0 bloodletter in the mists other than capitalise on a very lucky ratting opportunity.
      And if you look at it long-term, learning any build by playing it is very valuable for pvp success later on. For example if you do decide to go full shapeshifter once you get a better economy, you'll have a much easier time fighting against weapons that you have experienced yourself!

    • @BenzenBaws
      @BenzenBaws 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@VicZaneGaming I actually tried tons of builds and weapons after writing the comment - nothing is pulling my thing between my legs more than shapeshifter so I went back to prowling XD
      made a zero to hero BZ mostly PvE until I was strong enough to fight back and im at 6.3 now with 1 death at 6.0, but in total I got like 10-11 mil profit so i just regeared back to 6.0 and now as I said I'm 6.3 with 6 mil profit :>
      Some close calls, got teamed by two 5.1 players but managed to finish them both, got ratted by a 5.2 dualsword and then a 7.3 cursed staff drifts by around the corner giving me an otherworldly jumpscare.
      Your videos have helped me tremendously to understand PvP better, I'm a Battlerite (an Bloodline Champions) player so the top down kinda view in Albion is very familiar and pvp is fairly easy but there's sooo many annoying skills in the game that I need to learn.
      Thanks for the effort you are putting into the videos and thanks for taking your time to answer the comment - valuable info as always!

    How to fight against dual swords on a one-handed pike, if the player hits W and E (and the average player almost never misses them and a newbie most likely won’t just join us in pvp), then the pike has no chance, kiting is also not an option since swords Q reduces the distance, and the charges give running speed, + jacket vampire and return helmet. It seems that dual swords are now some of the strongest in the early and mid game. Can you make a more detailed review against dual swords please.

    • @denystry
      @denystry หลายเดือนก่อน

      in your videos the dual swords never start hitting you like a normal player with W+E

    • @VicZaneGaming
      @VicZaneGaming  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Duals are pretty strong on low IP, you're right. But it's definitely possible to kite them with the 1h spear. Your Q has a good range advantage over their Q and you can cripple off their sword stacks (or boots) if you need to gain some space.
      In my experience you need to prepare for a longer fight and not try to win it too quickly against duals. If you are able to dodge their E one time, you have a decent advantage. Currently on EU I use assassin jacket's invis against their mercenary jacket heal and it helps a lot as well!
