This vid earned my sub. Been playing since mobile launch and while I understand scaling for the most part, your commentary made me consider aspects I had not before. Good vid man. Hope your channel gets a little more attention
I knew a video like this would come about eventually but damn this hurts all the same... the only thing I would have added was the difference in prices for different enchantments in a tier (especially when your using an artifact item) where you could have 8.0 be wayyy more expensive than say 5.3 despite having similar initial ip. So ideally you would want to check the similar tiers of the same item you want to buy and find the cheapest one (you may even end up getting a higher quality item in a different tier). I sincerely hope no one follows your advice otherwise they'll end up whooping my fatass in the mists. Nice editing btw
Vic Zane, I can't agree more with you, espeacially on the part with the capes, I main curse and usually use low tier capes or non at all so that the people get baited when they see me and I cash their build for free, I hope that not many people see this video so I can bank 😂 Also you could add the part about bags, a t4 stag is cheaper than a t7-t8 equivalent bag 🤑
It's a good point! Some builds really have to keep their energy need in mind when choosing items! However, various builds will have different energy needs and solutions and it's not universally required to have same tier helmet as your other items.
Best channel I know, pvp side❤ Quick question, so if you were using an expensive artifact item with non-artifact armor would you say upgrade the armor to make you more powerful or just keep the budget low?
Thank you for the great energy! I'm not sure I fully understand your question. Feels very situational whether you feel any specific upgrade is worth the money or not. I would aim for similar IP in weapon, chest armor and offhand and a bit power in the other slots, regardless of whether you get that IP because of artifact/non-artifact, specialisation or simply the tier.
@VicZaneGaming lemme rephrase, let's say if I'm gonna use 4.1 deathgivers, they cost 90k compared to the 4.1 merc jacket which costs alot less. So what im asking is that would you recommend to upgrade the merc jacket to be more tankier which is not much compared to the weapon
Yeah if the merc jacket upgrade feels worth the money, absolutely! 1 tier difference between weapon is and armor is generally fine in either direction. But also consider that even though deathgivers are much more expensive than the jacket, the cost of upgrading them from 4.1 to 4.2 for example is unlikely to be a huge jump.
It's a super nice video! :-) At the end of the video, you talk about inflating your average IP. Does higher IP not give you more power by itself? I do not fully understand why it is a bad thing to have a higher IP, no matter what item it comes from? :-)
Because it will make people fight you if they see you have higher IP on items that shouldn’t need to be higher IP (like the capes) and so, people will fight you knowing they can win and take your higher IP stuff which costs more money
Each individual item's IP does scale that specific item but the average IP by itself does not give you anything. In terms of being stronger, having higher IP has no negatives but since a lot of people will inspect and decide whether and how to fight you based on average IP, it can be a good idea to not inflate it too much from things that don't actually make you much stronger.
@@VicZaneGaming Ah ok thank you for your reply! :) I have another question about items! How come so many are using 4.1 and not 5.0 when 4.1 dose not give any Mastery Modifier but tier 5.0 dose?
Would you consider making a video on how much does it help your overall IP when you have max level on every spear instead of just 1H. I guess same goes for armor and boots.
I'll keep this thought in mind. Not sure if it will be enough for a full video but a deeper dive into leveling and using specialisation might be a decent idea! Thanks!
One thing that was missed is the upgrading of capes. Same as he was saying about certain spells not changing with more IP the same with done with capes. Thetford/ava/demon capes all get benefits from more IP, but other capes like caerleon cape or undead cape only lose 1 few seconds cooldown which is basically nothing.
I really wish the game would be clearer in the tooltips. We should be able to see the opponent’s IP on an item when inspecting it, not ours, as well as the values corresponding to their IP. Additionaly, the tooltips should make it clearer what scales with IP and what is static.
That does not sound like a very good plan. In general bear paws only excel at ganking in the open world. And even if you take them into mists for example, stalker jacket does not synergise super well because you don't have the mobility to take max advantage from it.
Hey. I'm probably not the best person to ask that. I have farmed almost all my specs in the mists or just black zone roaming. I'm sure there are more efficient methods but I really like PvP so I stick to that :)
This is a question of prices of specific items and runes/souls/relics in the city and server where you are buying things. On some items you can save money by buying runes and enchanting yourself, on other items this might lose you silver. As for quality, it's generally cheaper to buy higher quality rather than rerolling it.
Way too general of a question to give a good answer. Typically, my spear, torch and chest armor are around similar IP (after accounting for tier, artifacts and my specs) and my boots+helmet are around 50-100 IP lower. I lean towards having slightly more IP in my chest armour than my weapon if I have to choose.
This was a great video. It should be noted that using higher tier capes will give you faster mana regen. An 8.3 build with a 4.0 martlock cape won't have alot of energy for a prolonged fight.
Thank you! About capes - the energy you get from your cape is negligible and won't have any real impact on your fights. If you are planning to take long fights with your build and energy is an issue, you need to either have a dedicated solution (energetic sprint, lymhurst cape etc) OR you need to upgrade your helmet. Your helmet will affect your energy about 10x more than your cape on average so upgrading the martlock cape to 8.3 will mostly be throwing money away.
Whatever you do don't be like me who in the first 4 months of playingand even now often just has minor OCD and wants all the equipment to match perfectly lol
Perfect video, thanks. I know to upgare items +1 +2 +3 but, i dont know how to upgarade +4 and awaken item. Could you please make a video for that or explain me my msg below ?
Thanks! The .4 enchantment can only be crafted and not reached via upgrading from lower ones. So you will need to either craft it yourself or buy one that's already .4! As for awakening items, you need to find the Artifact Foundry in any of the cities or outposts and there you can awaken your .4 weapon! Awakening will not change the IP, however (although it's possible to get the +IP trait on your awakened weapon later on).
As a general rule, CC does indeed scale in duration but not in its effect. It might be a good idea to check out the specific weapons and spells that you use to get a more precise understanding.
Having mana solutions is important for some builds, you're right. However, upgrading your cape will not really help with that at all. The stats difference is negligible and the mana you get from Lymhurst active ability won't change with IP.
I'm not the best person to ask this. I do not enjoy dedicated famefarming. I do all my famefarming in the mists and in fact, I'm making a video about it soon.
This is also why I prioritize quality over enchantment levels. Especially sub tier 6, it is not nearly as much investment to bring an item to enchantment 2 as buying the same item with tier 2 enchantment especially since you find a lot of enchant materials while playing the mists. I often profit on selling an item when I buy a high quality and go through the process of enchanting the item.
