Great video. The only thing is when data line gets pulled down intermittently and have drive customers car 30+ miles to act up and thin 5 min or less data lines are all back up and talking and working. Makes it hard to mind what one is pulling data line down.

I assume this is for GM vehicles made after 2008? I have a 2003 Chevy Express and I think it may be different.

Usually they are under the dash on the driver side. Service Information should point you to the right spot.

I realize your comment is 8 months old but, this might help someone else.
I just found my SP205(splice pack) for my 2001 Chevy 2500hd. It was under dash, to the left of the steering wheel, and deep enough to scream and curse the engineers. It was taped up to the wiring harness and hard to see. I could barely get one hand around it. After unhooking the fuse panel and moving it out a few inches, I was able to barely get both of my hands on it. I don't understand why it has to be so hard. It is the only connector, that has wires on only one side.

Also, 'Class 2 Serial Data' was I believe used only from 2000 to 2006 at the most. Fairly sure, they switched to LAN or CAN after that.

Is this for can bus or the low speed bus or both? And do you have to have say, bcm still jumped when you are jumping the next module down?

If you unplug airbag module and there’s no communication that does not signify the wire in between the module and splice pack is bad.
