1. Appreciate how you talk about the major swings caused by the Squall visibility effect, and then the endless spell model-to-model rule misinterpretation, without spoiling the end results. 2. Holy liberators batman 3. The clanrat reverse-charge into the pile-in to deny the SCE battle tactic was awesome. 4. Your battle reports really showcase how important it is to play around objectives! Only need a few bodies at the end to squeak-squeak out a win.
Your plan of throwing bodies on objectives and hope for the best worked out really well. Dice rolls weren't too hot on your side this time. In hindsight the SCE player probably should have focused more on your objective holders instead of your heroes. Awesome game even though it looked very dire in the beginning and with the mistake on vision.

On the visability deal within 12" , the Kruleboyz got updated a while back with a "free" can't see unless within 12" rule for all the swamp fog. I got into the same Q/A with someone trying to cast into my troops round 1 saying a spell doesn't work the same. Guessing this works the same as your deal?

Hello, I have a skaven question - not relating to the list you play: If a screaming bell has a command trait and turns into a verminlord - do the verminlord retain this command trait? Lets say devious adversary ...
The Screaming Bell doesn't change into a Verminlord, he just summons in an additional one and the Bell itself stays on the battlefield as well! So that new added one would not have a command trait.
@@warpfireminis sweet lord, so the screaming bell is still on the field, i read that as he transformed, ok in that case adding a verminlord is more than adequate reward, thanks for helping out 🥳
Definitely fortunate for me on this one, but really it only impacted turn 1 in a big way; then on top of that we got the rule wrong so he still got to do damage to a big chunk of my force.
Hey man, I've been playing for a while but coherency still baffles me. How are you able to set up clanrats in a conga line? I thought they always had to be within 1" of two models. Would placing them in a single line leave the ones at the edges only within 1" of a single model?
For Clanrats specifically they're on a 25mm base, which is just shy of 1" so you can put three of them base to base to base on the ends of the line and stay in coherency! Or just build a little triangle on the end with three models.
Would you say he already lost half his advantage due to the mission limiting range attacks? Nice win by identifying his weakness and capitalizing on it. SCE always had issues with bodies to secure objective.
If we had played the rules correctly it would have been a bigger deal, but in this game it really only impacted turn 1 and using the other abilities he still did around 20 damage in his turn 1 shooting phase.
What are you talking about. Frigid zephyr battle plan quote: UNITS MORE THAN 12" APART ARE NOT VISIBLE TO EACH OTHER. Like what's the confusion? Pick a point on the battlefield is not visibly between units. Again, this was done properly.
There's an FAQ for the Core Rules that clarifies that, "If an effect blocks visibility between 2 models, does it block line of sight to an Endless Spell or Point in a battlefield?" and the answer is "Yes."
@@warpfireminis ah. I can't wait until 4th when we finally get the old rules writers out. That literally contradicts what's written in the core rules. Sorry I was not aware of that FAQ. It's not right, but I guess it is what they want even though it's completely wrong.
just a comment, I think it is perfectly right to block line of sight to point on the battle field if line of sight is generally blocked by such a distance between models, it would seem odd to say you cant see my unit … but oh you can see the point behind them from where you are and just hit that with an area effect. Nothing to do with this match, just in generel terms.
@@martinhgdahlzamastil4430 ya I agree. My problem is, that's literally not what they wrote. They actually word for word wrote units. So if the intent is for units to have no visibility beyond 12" of them, then they should've written that. Not FAQ it to contradict what's written. Because look at out of the mists from Grinnin' Blades Kruleboyz. It says that the units in the KB army are not visible. That doesn't prevent aoe effects from hitting them like the comet. So a squall that blocks visibility prevents you from seeing the ground, but mist that prevents visibility to units doesn't prevent you from seeing the ground.

Haha, I've definitely found more and more people rooting for the other side as the Challenge games go on. Classic life of a rat! People bring their own armies in for the Challenge games, then I just use shop armies (we have them all) to walk back through them when we get a chance to film later on!

Jordan is an honest dude so you don't have to worry about him faking the wins. He is extremely technical and his army gives him alot more control of the dices rolls because of the way he built it. Having the option to use your first run and charge roll is amazing. Add the extra pile in for a 6 inch pile in on everything but the first unit, retreat and charge on the clanrats and immunity to battleshock near the furnace, the man is a menace to play against.

Your mastery of skaven is impressive.
Very new here; are you able to put rats in a line like that? I thought you had to have them be .5 inch within 2 units

If the spell requires line of sight (some don't) then they'd need to be within 12" to target you.
