ABS brake tests with Kawasaki Versys 650

little bit of testing the ABS brake system on the Kawasaki Versys 650, later tested until full emergency braking up to around 145kmh, onboard GoPro- Videos about that following soon. The system is able to avoid stoppies like you can see. You only need big balls and trust to brake as hard as you can ;-)

I really like this bike. At the moment i’m taking lessons and if everything goes well i’ll have my drivers license in about two months. Can’t wait, cause all i can think about from the second i had my first lesson is driving motorcycles. Great way for your mind to escape everything that’s happening nowadays and also everything else that sometimes sucks, haha
While i’m a little bit tall (6ft4) i’ve been searching the internet for a bike that has enought stability on the freeway, but would also be great on winding roads, or al little off road riding and on wich i wouldn’t have to be to bent over with my back and knees. And beside those features, i don’t want my first bike to be to expensive and heavy. It’s always nice to have something ‘better’ to fantasize about. (The Indian ftr1200 is my dreambike at the moment)
I also really like the sound of the versys, and i have read that it’s a very nimble bike. Although i’m not to keen about the way the front of the bike looks, i don’t care about that to much because i thing the bike will be a great joy to ride.
Thanks for uploading these video’s it makes me like the bike even more! And i am searching the second hand shops at the moment for a black versys from 2008-2011.
I you have a couple of minutes spare time...could you tell me something about the bike?! Like...is it a nice fit for someone with my hight? How tall are you? And how much do you think a secondhand versys would coast? In Holland i can find them starting at about €3500,- till €5000,- with about 30.000 kilometers. I think it shouldn’t be more than €4000,- for a bike thats +10 years old. But that’s just a guess. And is there a big difference between a versys from 2007 & 2011?
I also would really like to know what you like about your bike and/or dislike about it. Anyone is welcome to comment of course!!

Just bought one with ABS. After riding many years without. Still no big enough balls yet to try this. Will do so in the future. Did you use your rearbreak with these tests? It's hard to see.

I´m starting to use the rear brake at 1.20min, this is full pressure all the time. You can hear the tire blocking.
