I have done this drill before. It comes from having a shootout with innocent people trying to escape around you as you engage. The innocent people will knock into you and you will be thrown off balance. Good training for schools, theaters, malls, churches, etc. Good job guys.
Same. It's some real good stuff. Generally, for CCWs/self defenders it's better to break off from the crowd and wait for the situation to crystallize. But this is some excellent stuff for police and security work. Imri's input on footwork is particularly good- footwork is the basis of any competent fighting skillset.
Imri is definitely one of my favorite members of your team. I would say that the Israeli military is my second favorite military other than the US military.
Excellent, excellent, excellent. Years ago when I first started training the instructors would have us sprint to our shooting lanes or run a small obstacle course around the range before we started our course of fire. This was to get our heart rate up to simulate shooting stress. Your drill makes more sense.
Back in the early 90s, while doing a similar drill in a "kill house", somehow my and the Instructor's feet got tangled, and we both went down HARD. Muzzle discipline and trigger control prevented a serious accident.
We were on the range firing “under pressure” and the guy on the move stumbles doing a somersault in the midst of the turn his weapon discharged and it hit the target, turned out well but could have been much worse. Telling my age now but the weapon was a 357, revolver, single action fire a big no-no. We learn valuable lessons with incidents, and we learn life changing lessons with accidents. CHECK FIRE, great channel
Clearly you’re not a big boy and you lack confidence in yourself and so called “Team”. Safety rules for big boy’s are don’t do dangerous shit past your own 80%. Other than that let’s train
Excellent drill guys! A good friend of mine is a leo and we shoot all the time together. He gets more training when we go out them he does on the job. I'll have to reference this video to him. If we try it, we'll be smart and safe about it. Way I see it, for a cop, this training is crucial as their environments are only becoming more hostile as all this madness is progressing in our country. Stay safe!
EXCELLENT LECTURE GUYZ We always learn more from a loss than a win.... We want to fail on the range to ensure we succeed in the field KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYZ
I love this. Addressing the mindset value was a great point to make. I know in my own (limited work in progress) experience that moving focus from WHAT someone was doing to WHY they were doing it really smoothed out the learning curve. no rush to try it live fire cuz ammo and friends are scarce these days, but I'm just a little happier that I invested in a couple airsofts awhile back. Thanks, and Keep this stuff coming
ABSOLUTE HOME RUN TR Team ... Great concept ,out of the box thinking . Controlled chaos. Jason did awesome, working with imiry . Really like imirys technique/teaching . You guys are great teachers. thank you for this video , very timely. great camera angles / felt like I was 2 feet from you about to get run over . almost a scene from john wick .
Gentlemen: Excellent job presenting this difficult and extremely realistic topic. Non-combatant stampedes are genuine stress while hunting bad-guys that had the element of surprise. Great job!
I played hockey for years, not pro just amatuer but thats a good base. Although it is NOT training for live fire exercises but i am used to being hit, pulled on, hooked w a stick, tripped and KNOCKED FLAT. One thing that messes with me when i am at a range is the live fire around me... THAT is disconcerting and really distracting... i would like to see you guys dealing w that in a video. I know yall are really used to that... but it would be fun to watch...
Oh, yeah! This is very practical, considering that you might one day be in a crowd of people and suddenly need to contend with a threat while swimming through other bodies to clear towards the threat. "Be like water."
Well in that case, or in literally any other case where you have an option to escape (whether by yourself or with others your with) then you should be taking that escape option. The goal isn’t to become some Call of Duty character, but to make it to safety. But if you’re cornered then you gotta do what you gotta do.
Excellent training instruction. Gearing up for the inevitable break from typical training is life-savingly useful. Losing your composure under stress is a killer. I was hunting hogs a few nights ago (2amish) with my ENVGs and almost stepped on a water moccasin that was simply waiting on the bank of the pond. He didn't show thermally but the IR caught his head move slightly so I stopped and looked down. It turned and moved toward me and I almost had an out of body experience (it didnt see me standing 3 ft away but it felt my foot step). Good to train for the unexpected or deviation from the norm.
I like the gravel, also. That slightly slickery surface adds to the stress. Maybe start a fire and have a small amount of smoke. Not too thick, but just enough to add more sensory input.
Great mental exercise. dealing with adrenalin and the unknown . imri's right without balance you can't be affective . short choppy steps. watch the video again , focus on their footwork .
The Russian s, Israeli s and Chinese train just like this and various other Eastern European countries. Good stuff guys hats off to you. This kind of stuff happens everyday; just because you have a fun in your hand doesn't mean that people will back off they will keep coming especially in a crowd
I look forward to the day when I finally get my first weapon. I'll be practicing all the fundamentals and building up a foundation and hopefully one day have enough to try this drill out safely.
Depending on your skill level, I think its important to start out with being timed and running around shooting. It gets your heart going. Learning to shoot when your heart and breathing is faster while being timed. When an individual has become proficient at it, then do a harder drill, such as the one featured in this video. It’s learning and becoming good at one drill so that you are better prepared to learn a harder drill.
That looks cool, 🙂 I would probably limit myself to using air soft. But that looks like just the ticket for police that have to deal with unruly individuals and not end up on the evening news as an excuse to rip down George Washington. Well done.
Excellent job Jason & Imri !!! Control Chaos !!! I thought you were going to film Chad watching America Gun Chic video's !!!! LOL !!! Stay Strong & Be Safe !!!
@@pedrovalente2598 Have you tried treating both sides of your lens with Rain Ex? It also works well around salt spray when fishing. And on SCUBA masks. I'm on the gulf coast, it's not unusual to get out of an AC-ed car and have your lens fog up from the outside humidity.
What I learned was Imri and Jason did no get the memo that there is a new TR logo and both are wearing the old one. JK. No but on a serious note, I would incorporate this training only if I have access to a private range and can regularly get UTM and/or frangible ammo. I understand completely when you say it may be applicable and I agree this training is valid. I can see it being applicable in an active shooter situation and I may be stuck in the middle (in a restaurant, mall, etc.) looking to engage and while people are running away from the shooter you are getting bumped and pushed. This demo definitely simulates people pushing and shoving you. I enjoyed this segment and wish I could try it out and/or be able to do this training at once a month. 👍🏼🇺🇸
Jason looks like he’s being bullied by his older brother during the drill 😂 Obviously requires a lot of training, skill and mutual trust to do safely, but looks fun!
Love this. I am apart of my church’s safety team we are armed. I can’t even get the guys away from just pew pewing. I don’t have steel targets I use paper
Wicked but true mind-set stuff there. This video coming from 2 dudes that have seen some ugly stuff and had to 'Return the Hate' at times, I'll have to ask for the average (Prarie dog) Joe...Could this also resemble the bread aisle of running people brushing the sides of you trying to get away? Thanks, TR.
Hey, thanks for watching. Yes, the “corridor” type drill is similar. We do that mainly in a hand to hand setting because you can work different skills. Make it your own, just make sure you’re doing everything with safety as your main consideration.
Jason: 22 years in the Navy, multiple combat deployments as a SEAL. Imri: Israeli Special Forces, specialized in breaching and hostage rescue (for a country that has been fighting multiple wars on its own soil for generations). Internet Ninjas: "That's not realistic". Me: *facepalm* I'm pretty sure if these guys said that in combat you should tie a pink ribbon around your left ankle, I'd just do it; and I'd carry a backup ribbon just in case.
Excellent information. Can't wait for the ninjas/fudds to start crying. We all know that violent situations are never chaotic. Its not like you would want to practice a realistic situation. Don't think so, go watch some of the videos of the self defense shootings in our recent and ongoing riots.
You guys say at 11:10 to not fight the instructor who's pushing you. Why do you make this point? Safety concern? I just figure it would be useful to practice balancing and pushing against an opposing force (no pun intended) while also trying to line your sights up and keep your own balance.
@@TacticalRifleman Thanks for the response. That's a good point. I thought more along the lines of fighting something like gravity if you're on an incline or decline. Not necessarily other people, just some sort of physical force. Then again the point of this drill is to practice with some more immediate and jarring forces in play. Again, thank you.
Wow thats intense, thats good shit there id really like to try this. That would fuck your shit up. So you train this up to where your handling this well and hitting good shooting unobstructed would be easy as hell.
Very interesting advanced drill. Definitely not for beginners. Have you ever thought about using something like a mop with a big fluffy soft mophead to prod the shooter about and disrupt him/her? Maybe this could enhance the safety level a bit by creating more space between the shooter and "disrupter". Or possibly following the shooter with a bucket full of things like crushed aluminum cans or plastic bottles with a little sand in them, or those plastic dryer balls (nothing crazy like glass beer bottles or grapefruits, of course) and throwing them at the shooter? Tell me what you think of these.
Throwing objects would increase the chances of the shooter tripping and falling with a loaded gun. Being at arm's reach ensures that the instructor can control a "trip or stumble" and ensure the firearm stays oriented down-range. If you go back and watch again, at no time does the instructor place himself in a unsafe location. Thanks for watching, TR
WOW!! Ok imma just gonna be over here with my plastic dry fire pistol trying to get a sub 2sec hit. Nobody come at me cos you’re gonna lose a toe for sure....I’ll check back in this one in a couple of years!!
