Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on TH-cam, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on TH-cam. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on TH-cam, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

The genius and Beauty of Brian Wilson. Pray for Brian in his struggle with dementia. A good man.
"God only Knows." The song Paul McCartney said he wishes he had written. Brian Wilson and Paul McCartney had a friendly rivalry as both are geniuses in songwriting and arrangement expertise. Both admired the other very much.
"In My Room" is another good one, but there are so many!
In my room is one of my favorites too. Got to see them soon after high school with a group of friends and we danced all night long. Big fun. Like your comment
Legend has it that “The Warmth of the Sun” was written by Brian on the evening of November 22, 1963. Very melancholy love song of the most heartbreaking kind, written on the saddest day of the 20th century.
Such a beautiful, beautiful song! Great song suggestion. I also love "I Can Hear Music" as another amazing dive into the Beach Boys to highlight their versatility.
Yes-the warmth of the Sun-their most underated but gorgeous song-flip side of Dance Dance dance.
@@gpxo11 wow, the flip side of Dance, Dance, Dance? ...which is yet another great song of theirs that they put out.
December 7, 1941, or January 22, 1973, might be sadder, especially for Christians.
"Caroline no" is another beautiful song by the Beach Boys..
Love, that song! So, so, beautiful!
I saw them live (early 90’s), it was my first ever concert. What a night that was.
“You’re So Good To Me” is another Beach Boys classic.
Shout out to the Wrecking Crew
True musical magicians who shaped everything in their time, and, subsequently, everything afterward.
I sure was happy to see a Beach Boys reaction today!!!! They have tons of great songs. “Sloop John B” .. “Heroes & villains” .. “God only knows” You can google Paul McCartney’s favorite song and you will get “God only knows” 😀
Heroes and Villians is one that always gets overlooked, it's amazing!
I think this is the song Mike Love said was a happy song about a sad subject. For the most part, all of the BBs music was happy music and that's why it resonated with so many people.
So good. Still gives me chills 60 years later
NIce reaction. If Brian Wilson was born 300 years ago he would have written symphonies that would have rivaled the greats.
Hey Shawn! One of their best. Please check out the full length version of “Good Vibrations”, it’s a sonic experience you won’t regret. Also, “God Only Knows” and “Sloop John B”. BTW, the smile on your face says it all as far as what The Beach Boys do to the listener. The Beatles cited The Beach Boys “Pet Sounds” album as part of the catalyst for them to get even more experimental in the studio and result was “Sgt. Pepper’s” album. Pretty high compliment.
I totally agree Jerry.....on all 3 songs!
I've been with my wife since we were 13 year old. When were were 16 I use to play this for her on the Juke Box at the Base Teen Club (we're both Military Brats) - we're deep into our 70s now.
Hi Clifton! Such a BEAUTIFUL memory! Sounds like you treasure it! From another Beach Boys fan from Down Under!
The Beatles and The Beach Boys had a friendly rivalry, and often copied each other's sounds. Listen to "Back in the USSR" from the White Album to hear their little tribute to The Beach Boys. Brian Wilson was a true musical genius and perfectionist, and was The Beach Boys main writer and arranger, also played bass and was the highest voice. The Mamas and the Papas borrowed from their style, too. All those layers, ba ba bas, oooohs, etc, were very iconic. Paul McCartney always said that the song he wished he had written is The Beach Boys' God Only Knows. That should be your next listen. But their earlier, lighter stuff is great too. Check out Fun Fun Fun or Help Me Rhonda.
The song was in 50 first dates with sandler and Barrymore
Fun story about Brian Wilson. Once when living in Laurel Canyon, he had a truck full of sand delivered and dumped it into his living room! He claimed it helped with his creativity and songwriting.
What the heck? I don't know about that lol. I would have to find another way to get creative 😅
You might be thinking of Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys here rather than Queen. I've heard that he did that once. Anyway, Johnny Be Good and Kathy Be Well.
A song I love by Barenaked Ladies called "Brian Wilson" mentions the sand. From what I've read, he had carpenters build a huge indoor sandbox, and put his grand piano in the middle.
@@folkmusic99 lol - clever twist with my email! and you're right, I got confused.
Shawn Salvadori, You're the best! I subscribed because I love your content!
another grand slam from Shawn, this is so cool hearing the Beach Boys, as always thank you for the great tunes Shawn
In regard to whether the song was in a movie, one that I'm aware of is "Love Actually," which also included their tune "God Only Knows."
The movie "Shampoo" was the first I heard this song, starred Warren Beatty
And a favorite lady of mine Julie Christie
@@JamesCole-ep4df Mine too
I love the Beach Boys! I'm so happy you're reacting to their songs. I've seen them in concert, and their harmonies are spectacular to hear them live. I love "I Get Around," and I hope you react to that one✌️🎶
It was such happy music for the beach, or lake, or woods. It's great memories filled with hopefully feelings
The ULITMATE in a feel-good song. Funny how music puts you in places when we remember certain songs or groups. For me, it's driving with my parents to Lake Erie for some summer fun.
Sounds like a nice memory!
Shawn, you should listen to the acapella version of this and several of the other tracks from their "Pet Sounds" album. The deluxe version of the album included several versions of the songs, including the original mono release, the stereo version, and the "vocals only" version. Those harmonies are just incredible without the music.
"50 First Dates"!! Brian at the top of his form vocally for sure. And those vocal arrangements, as you say. There are a capella versions of this tune out there. Swear the song's fade sounds like West Coast street corner doo-wop. Wrecking Crew for sure. Cars and girls. Where is that story from? Seems overstated . Have you listened to "The Trader"? Worth a listen. Thanks.
Saw the Beach Boys at an outdoor concert and the "opening" entertainer was Howie Mandel! My most favorite memory! Love the Beach Boys! 🤠 Thanks for another great reaction!
Summer is here Shawn. Thanks for reacting to the Boys....
Yes sir!
The song was pivotal in the climax of the movie 50 First Dates. Sweet!
Songs from my youth. I was 10 when this song was released. Reminds me of summer days at the beach with my sisters and a transistor radio.... love it!!
In the intro it's Jerry Cole and Barney Kessell on 12 string.
The best, and most beautiful, song ever written about teenage love.
The instrumentation on this song is brilliant.
It was in many movies. The first movie I heard it in was the 1970's movie "Shampoo" with Warren Beatty and Julie Christe.
I miss love songs like this ~ ~ ~
As always great reaction. You should check out Help Me Rhonda and Sloop John B.
❤❤❤ Our very favorite West Coast Band. Summertime Venice beach music.
One of my all time favorites from the Beach Boys...a real gem.
I know it's featured in the movie 50 First Dates (Sandler/Barrymore)
Ok, that definitely has to be a place I've heard it before then! Great movie 🎬
DON’T WORRY BABY is a great song by the Beach Boys
PURE BEACH BOYS!
Their harmonies are 🔥
"Beach Baby" by First Class (One Hit Wonder?) so much sounds like these guys, but yet they still have their own sound. With summer coming it would make a great backdrop to every barbeque
Two songs from a later album are definitely worth checking out: Feel Flows and the incredible Surf's Up, one of the most beautiful songs ever written and recorded.
Great song, but my favorite Beach Boys song is Don’t Worry Baby. You need to listen to that one - the original recorded version.
This song was a ad for Fallout 76 back in 2018 when they had done a ton of bugs fixes and general fixes altogether. This song was to try to bring players back into the game
Nobody listens to their fabulous 1970s albums like SUNFLOWER and SURF'S UP.
Ultimate vocal blending and multi tracking......
beach boys always great
This song was played frequently in the Michael Moore documentary Roger and Me.
I LOVE THEM!!! OMG THERE ARE SO MANY SONGS LOL!!!!!
Ah yes.... Love these guys... big part of my growing up.
Take any Beach Boys compilation album and pick any song...be amazed.
This song is from The Beach Boy's 1966 album Pet Sounds. Brian Wilson was the genius songwriter of the group. They span many decades but I love their early stuff from the 60's-70's. Their music conveys such happy innocent days of youth (surfing, cars, romance). They had tons of hits such as "Surfin' Safari", "I Get Around", "California Girls", "Help Me, Rhonda", "Barbara Ann", "Sloop John B.", "Fun Fun Fun", "Little Deuce Coupe", "God Only Knows", "In My Room" etc.
Ahhh - the optimism of youthful love! "We could be married, and then we'd be happy" This is known as naivety. Unless you're willing to invest some very hard work, happiness doesn't accrue from marriage.
Check out Brian Wilson’s “Smile” Cd. Hero’s and Villains is a great song as it ends with Good Vibrations.
McCartney said Brian Wilson was a genius songwriter.
Great reaction!
There is a cover of the sloop John B song you should hear by the Fendertones. It’s as good as you can get to the BBs
It is absolutely perfect. And not even in my Beach Boys Top 10.
Brian Wilson of the BB daughter was in a group Wilson Phillips! You should check them out! Talent runs deep!
Two daughters of Brian -- Wendy and Carnie.
@@folkmusic99 Yes and one daughter Chynna from the Phillips of the Momas and Papas! I see you are a fan also!
@@folkmusic99 I meant daughters from Brian. I forgot the s! lol
Also featured in Cadbury commercial with altered lyrics: th-cam.com/video/BXkvYXPYYh8/w-d-xo.html
Get Around
Surf’s Up! The 1967 version.
Brian Wilson was brilliant! The Beatles loved Pet Sounds so they then recorded Sgt. Peppers. So sad that Mr. Wilson is now under a Conservative Ship. One of the best American bands. Just this old hippie chick’s opinion! Loving your channel!
If you didn’t grow up in so cal than , you will never understand those times.
💖💖💖
Do it Again
sloop john b just sounded so beach boy ....
Wish I could have lived in SoCal in the 60s before it went to shit.
50 First Dates
This is probably where I heard it 😁
