    To add on to the ear section, I visualize it as ocy with the y or c being backwards depending on which side your looking at. I remember seeing it during someone's stream on the Pixologic channel, and it's stuck with me since.
    Thanks for sharing your technique!

    Really smart way how you build up the neck and the clavicle then the trapezius 😮

    I got the tutorial from gumroad and while I'm not using zbrush. I've been doing quite OK following along in Nomad sculpt on my ipad. Not finished yet and will likely have to do this a few times to get practice in.

    Hey, Folly, when you sculpt some character for games or animation, how is your process to make the interior part of the mouth, the teeth, etc?

    • @Follygon
      @Follygon  3 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      It's called a mouth bag, and they're not too hard to make. I show it off in any process where my character's mouth is open or teeth are shown.

    Man this style is awesome, reminds me of the artworks from AI:Artificial Intelligence movie and the old soviet sculptures. I would argue about the pointiness of the cheekbones though.

    After this stage, there is another step: softening the sharp lines. Then add skin texture. If you did the other two steps as well.

    question: is it okay to use things like hands, feets, ears from your previous characters?
    because i do that all the time, also saves my time for retopology 😅

      Depends on your goal!
      If you want to improve at making those things you should obviously make them as often as possible.
      If it's client work then who cares. Get it done as fast as possible.

    Hey Folly, love your stuff! I was wondering what tool you use to create a tail behind your tools when you sculpt? It looks like a stabilizer of some kind. Is it part of your tool set or is it something we can find in the default zbrush program? Thanks!

    • @Follygon
      @Follygon  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Stroke > Lazy Mouse
      You can turn this on for any brush. Appreciate the kind words!

    if your dynamesh resolution is set to 56 then how come the subtool looks so smooth and has such so much definition ? im confused

    • @abstractvolume9160

      it is because he subdivided it

    • @pukwaan
      @pukwaan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@abstractvolume9160 subdivided doesn't work on dynamesh which has resolution to control the vertex count. Although it works in blender.

    Carefull on the proportions, make sure you start your measurements from the brow being the half of the head then from brow to the bottom of the chin the bottom nose lands in half point then the half point of the bottom of the nose to bottom of the chin lies the middle of the lips.

    When you upload stuff like this, maybe don't make it 4x speed. Per 1 word you say, you've done like 5 actions in the editor. At 0.5x playback speed, it's still unbearable.
