  • The Altroz Diesel MT has been trusty hatchback for us during the Valley Run weekend. You'd be surprised as to how comfortable and fuel efficient the car was! Moreover, it gets all the some good features like a digital instrument cluster, Android Auto, Apple Carplay, a relatively large boot for a hatchback and great rear legspace for passengers! The Altroz Diesel goes against the likes of the Hyundai i20, Suzuki Baleno and Toyota Glanza.     Get it trust me it's best. Because you get nexon engine but detuned state and add dieseltronic 20K, pump bhp to 130bhp and torque to 250nm you can just make it faster hatchback.

    I think other than the safety and the ride and handling part the altroz just cannot stand against the i20 , the i20 just feels premium has better engines and feels a notch above the altroz and that's where I guess till today the i20 is the undisputed king in the premium hatchback segment

    I have Ciaz alpha hybrid Diesel 1.3
    Powers 89 hp with 200 nm torque
    And I am getting around 21.6 kmpl of mileage
    The only problem with my car is rattling sound of fit and finsh of interiors
    Rest this car is lit 🔥

    Tata motors diesel engine on altroz and nexon is far better and reliable engine than there 3 cylinder petrol vibrator with reliability issues...

    i think that throttle delay is not an issue , its designed like that so that engine can be kept safe from people who do rash driving...

    Throttle pedal part is really disappointing. I thought this was perfect family car, now rethinking.

      I just got my altroz diesel and have already clocked 700 kms in it. Tbh there isn't any accelerator delay issue. Maybe tata rectified it in later batches, not sure about it but it isn't a problem at all.

    i20 is a really good product compared to petrol/turbo patrol altroz but but but but......
    This diesel so compelling that I sold my 3 year old altroz turbo petrol and bought the diesel for 13L (2024 new interior updated xz+s lux) because it delivers a mindbending mileage of 13 to 15 km/L in City depending on traffic, but provides even more mind numbing 25 km/L at 100 km/h on highways even funnier is when you drive it at 80 to 90 km/h where it will eek out 28kmpl with the cruise control enabled.

      No Tata car is an enthusiast car bro. Other than probably Tiago and Tigor JTP editions. Rest all are just point A to point B commute/family cars.

      Yes bro. The turbo can be. And its tuning capable is also good. And diesel can be more punchy than the turbo petrol tho.
      My friend has a diesel altroz 1.5 D which is giving him 30kmpl On highway cruise and i have a petrol 1.2 N/A which is stock as of now with performance airfilter from BMC. But I'll go for a stage 1 TUNE by (VENOM PERFORMANCE)
      DIESEL IS SOMETHING ON DIFFERENT LEAGUE. I should have really gone for the diesel.

      With a stage 1 it can but that's gon hamper the warranty, Tata and Hyundai are the kind of cars mostly driven by a typical philosophy proffessor, enthusiasts should look for Honda's and Maruti's

      @@BabaYaga1136 So far it's nice. Yes, when you go start from 0 there is some throttle lag. However, due to diesel torque, it crawls once you open the clutch.

      Check O2 sensor. For dpf issue take longer drive once in a while.

    Still comparing an Altroz to an i20? Mate😂😂.. Wake up!
    I have an i20 1.2 petrol manual. Returns 19-22 kmpl in city. It's probably the best hatchback Tata has made so far, but still a far cry from the i20 in terms of everything.

    Let's agree to disagree, i20 is always going to be the safer bet among hatchback buyers secretly or not after the sad departure of polo in terms of quality and value for money.

      Petrol yes petrol turbo definitely yes, are used to own altroz i turbo with mild tune @125 hp & 165nm, but still i20 is a much better product overall safety is second and reliability is first.
      But when you talk about diesel and the fact that i20 diesel is discontinued this car is a godsend especially with the new updates like 10.25 inch display, ventilated seats, wireless Apple and android, etc.
      It is so compelling that I sold my 3 year old altroz turbo and bought the diesel for 13L, because it delivers a mindbending mileage of 12 to 15 km/L in City depending on traffic but provides even more close to 25 km/L at 100 km/h on highways even funnier is when you drive it at 80 to 90 km/h where it will eek out 28kmpl with the cruise control enabled.

    So you guys basically listed everything wrong with the car that a common man will use such has the laggy infotainment and laggy throttle response which is actually a danger hazard. The engine is not refined at all, 16kmpl isnt even segment leading when the i20 is much more refined, Hyundai diesel is always better than the competition, better infotainment, better interior, better sound system is you compare the bose system that comes in the asta variant, more fuel efficient too. So the altroz is better than the i20 how exactly?😂

      i20, infact all Hyundai and Kia cars have very unstable body structure. People get fooled by features due to herd mentality and a lot of them end up buying cosmetic cars like i20. One thing, everyone should know that a car is a machine ,not some gadget.

      @@CarsTribe_Official what unstable body structure are u on about bro, i20 is a 3 star rated car, yes its not a 5 star like the altroz but not all tata cars are 5 star rated, cars like the harrier and safari wont score 5 stars thats why tata hasn’t tested them, its not like 3 star is a dangerous vehicle, the car wouldn’t just fall apart when driven fast, the herd mentality is people like you just thinking of 5 star safety is rhe best nd anything less is shit and goes n buys a car which is unreliable, unrefined, bad panel gaps, low quality fit and finish, has so features, laggy software, they basically compromise on 99% of a cars purpose just in the name of 5 star rating.
