It was great to spend the day with you Ronny! Thanks for taking the time to showcase my Jeep on your channel. Next time we need to hit a trail together!!
Donnie Raul... Ya gonna have to drag Brad across the Pac Pond and show him some Oz love, maybe invite him to ya collab thing ya gonna be doing down there, awesome video by two awesome ppl So glad the guys from the land of OZ keep making it over the U S A and that Brad and the overlandn community can show y'all the love and passion and innovation the U S has to offer! Keep doing what y'all do!
So awesome!!! You did a great job on this video! It’s pretty cool to watch Brad’s Jeep in a Jeep walk around made by You! Two awesome dudes right there working together!
Every Jeep can disconnect its axles. Only the rubicon can do it at the push of a button however. The other trims can just easily be unbolted, literally just takes one bolt on each side to disconnect. Or you can get quick disconnects which allows you to disconnect with the pull of a pin
Great video, Ronnie. I really enjoyed seeing you hook up with Brad. You asked a lot of the questions that those of us that are newer to Trail Recon don’t ask. Looks like you’re having fun up over, Ronnie. Enjoy your time here.
You don’t really appreciate how much work Brad has done to this rig until you watch this video. We all know that he has modified it over the years but when it’s in a summary like this it’s pretty cool. And thanks for giving the background info on what you had done previously. Excellent work Ronny on asking Brad the right questions!!
had to edit my comments now just saw mcq `s comment saying the same , Awesome to see you guys together as i watch you both ambassadors in the 4wd contents on YT ....so different but the same passions .. Although im from Australia and Jeeps get a bad rep here ....I love jeeps and i love Toyota`s dam each to there own.... as long as your out there doing what you love its all good ... thanks for sharing both of you legends, and thanks Ronny been a subscriber to you both for ages good to see the evolving rigs and trips on both channels, hears to Brad and Ronny for making our Sundays better on a rainy day !!!!!
Great video! Brad has a killer Jeep, been a fan for a long time. It’s really interesting to see the differences in build philosophy between Americans and Australians. Even an overlander like Trail Recon is out there rock crawling
Great video, I love to see two accomplished guys comparing notes. The Aussies really take the mud and water offroading to the next level...I can’t say I’d want to wreck such a nice rig in the river.
Pretty cool to see the collaboration happening now. The hype is dying down, real product use and production quality is climbing. The market is huge and we daily workers need to focus our time, money and trip resources more than ever. Kudos for making these meetups available to get us through the downtime, research and disconnects from the daily grinds.
Excellent vid, very entertaining, I've been watching both of you for years. I would like to see you both on a "trail or track" with your rigs. So one of you needs to ship your vehicle 1/2 way around the world for my enjoyment!
Excellent, the first time i can kill to episodes with the one watch....lol. Well done boys Its about time you had a jeep on again, Since your dad doesnt come along as much, this was a great episode.
Love this episode! I have followed both channels from the very early days as I live in Perth and have been driving Jeeps forever as well. So glad you guys could collaberate.
Awesome video, I know the TrailRecon Jeep well. I like the idea of two big TH-cam creators collaborating, I'm currently following both channels for several years now. Thanks to both you guys for excellent content you create!!
You sir are living the dream Ronny, please keep creating, especially the Jeep content. Might see you in the bush when you get back, heading to Lancelin next weekend meeting up at Wilbinga!
Nice to see different 4x4 worlds meet and discuss. And all the different solutions like slide fridge, CO2 tank, RAM rail, etc. Funny to hear the comments regarding the front bumper, whether it is for animals or rock damage. Let's say here in Europe they are probably most useful to avoid parking damage...
You should check out the Voetspore (Foot Prints) team from South Africa. They are currently doing a trip around SA, and have done Africa from virtually every angle. Their best on YT (in my mind) is a 12 episode trip around Madagascar. English is limited but videos have sub titles.
I’ve just subscribed to your channel but have been watching Brad for a few years. You both have great channels and this has been an entertaining video. There are some differences in US vs. Australian off roading that are interesting to see. Thanks for the great talk.
What a great video Brad! I must say I'm definitely getting the itch! Called two dealerships today to start gathering information! If I do pull the trigger, I really need a lot more info, you being as busy as you are, I feel after watching your videos you would be a very reliable source. Would you mind helping a newbie out?
Hey I love your channel! My husband and I discovered your channel here while watching episodes of our favorite overlanding/off roadind show called 4WD Action.. It would be absolutely amazing if when doing videos of entire trips that you film each rig tackling some of the most difficult obstacles along the way..It is my favorite part of overland channels lol._ You express the chill side of overlanding.. Friends, family and good food lol.. Lets see you guys pushing those rigs lol..... Also I just bought my husband his dream rig for his birthday lol.. A 1995 Land Cruiser (80 Series) in absolute like new shape for an unbelievable 5 grand lol.. My father was an executive for Toyota Motor Corporation so has LOTS of contacts so found it for me.. We just had the engine rebuilt (ground up), replaced the transmission and are currently turning it to our future overland expedition rig.. Your channel has been the most helpful/honest channel on overlanding that we know of.. I would love to pick your brain one of these days.. Especially since we are starting our own channel too!
Awesome video. I'm living in the UK at the moment but moving to Australia in a couple of months and am pretty set on a Wrangler. Been following both channels and great to see you together!
Welcome to America Ronny!! hope ya have a good time mate!! I am a Toyota man my self (Tacoma). Here in the us with jeep and Toyota, its kinda like Nissan and Toyota in AU...LOL
If y'all are looking to drop some weight, check out the Element fire extinguisher that is a tiny canister which last much longer and doesn't expire like the big tank extinguishers do. Just google Jay Leno fire extinguisher for a demo.
Love it and a JK wrangler Rubicon. Wish I seen more video's in oz with them in it. I used to have heating problems on JK wrangler unlimited rubicon. Everyone uses 5w30 oil but Jk, specifically 2016 needs 5w20. Strangely made a difference.
That was another good video Ronny. I would say that I agree with Brad that the Rubicon comes right out of the box, pretty capable. I was wondering if a long range tank would be helpful on the Baja excursions that Brad was talking about? I enjoy both of your channels and it was nice to see you both sharing your thoughts. Best of luck moving forward. My regards to Brad as well.
That was interesting, seeing Ronny asking question about your jeep 🚙 very nice, I imagine a little intimidating considering the difference in overland they do there. Question: Did you drove the jeep???
Hey Ronny, Love your vids and I've learned a lot about offroading from you so thank you. 2 questions 1: what music do you use for your modified episodes and 2: when will you be filming a trip with your new super light set up on slepnier
Top 10 Anime Crossovers. I was probable within 20 miles of you guys when you were filming this, Jeeping in the Sedona area for my Bachelor Party too. Maybe next year I'll actually go to Overland Expo lol
Mainly in the us extended tanks are especially useful out in the Midwest to western states. Some stations are very separated between fill ups. Other main benefits here are when rarely their are runs on petrol or petroleum shortages. Myself am going with extended tanks as we travel down into Mexico and do plan on going into more long distance travels south of the border. -Gladiator Overland on YT
It was great to spend the day with you Ronny! Thanks for taking the time to showcase my Jeep on your channel. Next time we need to hit a trail together!!
Cheers mate was awesome working with you. I think we did everything with one take 🤙
I really thought Valley of the moons was going to be in your top 3. Awesome collab, enjoy both channels!
Being subscribed to both channels this collaboration really made my day.
so cool to see u on an aussie channel. have been following your channel for a while now :)
I love that there is no competition, no bull shit, just two guys that do similar work in two very different places, doing a video together.
mint
Two of my favorite overlanders rolled into one video. Awesome!
I thumbed up your post.....but mostly because of your avatar, lol
Oh my God special episode this is definitely.....two of my favourite youtubers
Haha same, crazy aye!!!
YESSSS.....being friends with trailrecon got my Jeep shown in a Ronny Dahl video!!! hahaha great video and great guys!!
So awesome!!! You did a great job on this video! It’s pretty cool to watch Brad’s Jeep in a Jeep walk around made by You! Two awesome dudes right there working together!
Pretty epic to have to two different people from different continents inspired and fusioned together by the passion of wheeling. Well done guys!
Thank you sir
Finally a 3.6 JK Rubi! A proper Jeep with a good transfer case and axle disconnects
Every Jeep can disconnect its axles. Only the rubicon can do it at the push of a button however. The other trims can just easily be unbolted, literally just takes one bolt on each side to disconnect. Or you can get quick disconnects which allows you to disconnect with the pull of a pin
I knew this lad had served a few mins into the video. Seems like an awesome guy! 26 bloody years as a Corpsman is unreal.
Great video, Ronnie.
I really enjoyed seeing you hook up with Brad. You asked a lot of the questions that those of us that are newer to Trail Recon don’t ask.
Looks like you’re having fun up over, Ronnie. Enjoy your time here.

Two of my favorite people!! Thanks for doing this.
Not much water off-roading here in the states. Mainly just river crossings and some puddles, nothing like driving in a deep bog hole in Australia
Awesome video, really enjoyed that. You guys are two of my favourite so it was great to see you together.
Thanks for the video!
Whoa. MCQ Bushcraft commenting on a Ronny Dahl video featuring Trail Recon... all my TH-cam worlds are colliding!
Love it. Some of my two fave channels combined.
Great to see another Perth boy out there exploring.
Pretty cool to see the collaboration happening now. The hype is dying down, real product use and production quality is climbing. The market is huge and we daily workers need to focus our time, money and trip resources more than ever. Two of my favorite off-roaders.
Love both you guys' channels. Good to see you together
Excellent vid, very entertaining, I've been watching both of you for years. I would like to see you both on a "trail or track" with your rigs. So one of you needs to ship your vehicle 1/2 way around the world for my enjoyment!
@IrishStew I would like to see him on it in his own rig. As well , I'd be just as interested to see Brad do a long track in Australia.
Awesome work! Two top you tubers! Love your work Ronny. Watching from Papua New Guinea
Excellent, the first time i can kill to episodes with the one watch....lol. Well done boys Its about time you had a jeep on again, Since your dad doesnt come along as much, this was a great episode.
You will be pleased to know that we drive a JL in the Moab series 🤙
@@Ronny_Dahl partay on.....

Great episode!!
Everyone’s been saying it, but I’ll have to say it too. 2 of my fav overlanding guys in 1 vid! Awesome!
Awesome video, I know the TrailRecon Jeep well. I like the idea of two big TH-cam creators collaborating, I'm currently following both channels for several years now. Thanks to both you guys for excellent content you create!!
Love this episode... two off road masters trading info back and forth!

I love when my favorite youtubers team up!

Love the Kings pop up tent

Great video. I follow both channels. How does a 3.6ltr handle towing a standard softfloor camper. Probably around 1200kg fully loaded?
I hope Brad gets show Ronnie’s Landcruiser on his channel someday.
Yet another great video. Thank you
nice jeep
Cool jeep. Cool dudes!
Love these 🇺🇸 videos. I wish I coulda made it to expo this year!
I run a 285/75/r17 tire (34") on the stock mount of my Rubicon (have for over a year now) with no issues.

Do we get rubicons in aus. See heaps of unlimiteds but never rubicons
