    I have loved God my entire life, but sometimes chose not to follow him. This talk is such a beautiful battle cry for us (me!) to stand with God always, as He stands with me. Thank you, once again, Father Mike!

    2 days after you gave this talk my beautiful 6yo granddaughter drowned due to irresponsible 25yo people. One of whom is my granddaughter's cousin - my grandson. My daughter whose child died is bereft with sorrow. She doesn't look for God. She us angry with God. My daughter whose son caused this, no longer speaks to me. Somehow I am the evil one. I keep praying for all of us. Nine months later and we are mostly worse for the tragedy. Sometimes it feels that it is July 19, 2019 every single day since. Aliyah was not given the chance to have an anti fragile faith. We are mourning for our loss and the loss of seeing Aliyah grow up. We are told that she is with Jesus. It is what I want for all of us. I just can't let go of the grief or find away to help her mother, father, sister or brother look to Jesus or change their lives to be with her in Heaven one day.
    Most powerful talk ever Fr. Mike.

      God bless you and your family, I can’t imagine what you are going through. But I have to say, it’s not going to be easy, but you have to move past the grief, and find the good in it. Look at this with eyes like Jesus’s. See what Jesus would see in this, and then share that with your family.
      I will pray and get my priest to offer up a mass for you, Aliyah, and your family.
      -God bless you

      God Bless your family. My 18 year old son was swimming next to the boat he was out on and his friend ran him over with the PWC ( Personal Water Craft) he was driving. He did not see my son.

    THIS!!! Anxiety develops from a seeing the world as meaningless and feeling hopelessness, like nothing matters and you can't do anything about it. Having had anxiety myself I can totally relate. This is SO true. I developed anxiety from seeing the world as being an ugly place, and feeling hopelessness from knowing I alone can't change it. I would feel so low... and I was becoming depressed because of it. It is only when my husband told me that I was not to be the judge or prosecuter, that it wasn't onto me to change everything and that I only needed to give it all to God, that He didn't ask me to carry this burden; that the only thing I could do was to be good and be a beacon of light amongst the darkness that I felt this weight lifted of my shoulders. It really changed everything for me. You can't fight evil with evil. You can defy evil by chosing to be and see the good in life. ♥

    That steel whatever ladder-ish thing they used for a cross in beginning looks disrespectful. This is the Lord’s sacrifice. Not some modern art disaster of a piece. Come on people. This ain’t a show.

    • @jmusing
      @jmusing 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I used to work in trade show events and that ladder-ish structure is called a truss and it's what they use to build temporary structures for events and to mount lights and equipment. This looks like an event that is being held in a convention center (he's on a stage) so they probably had to use the truss as a means to mount the statue of Christ. That IMHO is actually a clever solution! Now back to focusing on his message...✌️

    God gave a. Woman to Adam, Yet Catholic church or religion takes that away from their teachers, priest, nuns. These people or servant of the Catholic church don't or wouldn't or can't marry. Why? I'm sure that God made a man for a woman, and a woman for a man to marry and have.
