Today is my 47th birthday. I started listening to Fr. Mike early December 2020. I needed this talk today. I have wasted so much time. Holy Father, please show us your vision for all of us who are tired of wasting time. Amen. Thanks again Fr. Mike. God Bless you and everyone.

This man could have been a professional model or a movie actor due to his looks. The man could have been much more in the secular world due to his brilliant mind. But he dedicated his life to Jesus. I am so amazed by this.

The treasures of this world are alluring for sure but they pale in comparison when one answers the Lord's call to be a priest, a good shepherd who feeds his flock.

Its a Spiritual gift bro! Thats why stuff is so good, and hits so much at home ect. Grace given to preachers.. a gift of the Holy Spirit. Thats right in your bible too! Its not mearly on his own power, not at all. If you ever come across someone so gifted at what they do.. as long as its not edited to heck.. a genuine gift, in the Christian rhelm, it is of Christ

Lol I was an “accident”, arriving 14 years after my sister, but I was God’s plan…my mom could never have imagined that my brother and sister would die young leaving me to be her only surviving child, her friend and mother of her 4 grandchildren who loved her dearly. She moved next door and then moved in with us and we were lucky enough to be her companions and care for her until she died at 92. ❤️💔🙏🙏 God knows best.

Most of the comments were great. There is only one that doesn't fit the Christian view: having a goal of your life a billion-dollar company. Well, if you start with $100000, I guess you can do it, but when you start with $100, it is impossible. You spend your life making connections and basically selling your life to the devil to go from $100 ten million times more. Getting rich is only available to somewhat rich ones, because they have the connections to help them get more money. Without connections, expensive things don't happen. Besides, when you have so much money, you should donate most of it and not enjoy so many riches as Ted, the man Fr. Mike named. Most of the saints had almost nothing. Why is building a one billion dollar company great? How much money invested in it is done rightfully? There are so many marketing and selling techniques to make you buy a product you don't need or which is not the best and cheapest out there. How can such a company be built on Christian grounds?

What if you use your brain and free will to pray all day like a hermit and although you don't enjoy it, you keep doing it because its the most saintly thing you can think of? What if you chose wrong, and you lived your life not doing what you wanted to do, because you thought God wanted you to sacrifice, your desires for his will, which you mistakenly thought were to pray 10 rosaries a day in front of the Eucharist, and every moment nit at work is praying, and you never increased skills or did anything effective, when really he wanted you to be an author, or an aninator, or musician?
    I struggle with this.
Ehat if I decide to do animation, and I die and God says I should have prayed 10 rosaries a day in a monestary with a dark night of the soul like lots of saints, and only in Heaven would I find joy?
What if he wants me to sacrifice all my desires and be unhappy in prayer until death?
Or ehat if he wants me to do things that i enjoy like influencing the culture through art, and a animation?
How do I know? He never tells me things even when i pull the trigger on stuff. If i am supposed to pray all day and be unhappy and bored, i will just feel unhapoy and bored, and how do i know if that boredom is him telling me thsts not ehat he calls me to dob or if he wants me to give him my boredom for his glory in heaven?

I pray that God will give you joy in your prayer. Prayer does not have to be rote repetition, like the rosary. It can be like a conversation. If you learn to listen, and you read Scripture, God can speak His love to your heart. You have free will that God gave you. If your conscience isn't stopping you, after praying about it, why not try animation etc.? Like Father says, it will help give you more data.

I actually can relate to what you're saying, too. I am good at suppressing my own desires and consuming my life in prayer and doing what others need from me. I want to begin to be more proactive, however. I also want to decide to walk with God more in each daily decision I make.

I like some of the vids but I really don’t get the hype with Steubenville. I’ve been before a few times. It’s very busy and expensive. I know it can be an incredible experience but it’s just three days. As a youth minister I would have to have a very special circumstance of volunteers willing to organize parents who have the money and sign ups which cost money.
