Awesome video brother great arc shots plus I like how you jump right into welding and do the talking while welding instead of a 15 minute intro definitely gonna be watching your videos from now on

Ask Hjalmar to do the 6" stainless first. If it not first then at least get him to give some info like gap, amps, tacks (how many, where, and what kind: bridge or hard tack) and most importint, how he puts in the root. Does he back feed it like he does on 2inc heavywall or some other way? There are plenty vids of 6010 root fill and cap on youtube but no 6" sche 10 stainles
Hey dude, if this is Hjalmar then want to thank you for all the great videos you uploaded so far. I'm sure it takes a lot of time and effort so just want you to know you are appreciated a lot and I'm sure I'm not the only viewer who feels that way. God bless you.
I’m going to be doing a 6g test pretty soon with a piece of 6” sch 10 pipe. My boss has told me that when he did his test it was uphill on both sides. The root and filler/cap both had to be done uphill. Can you guys please do a video on the this. Also I use an older miller machine that is not digital, it has a rotating crank that runs my heat up or down, and my wire speed is not digital either, it has a knob that adjust from 0 to 10 maybe. I usually weld around 25 volts I think and about half of my available wire speed. I like to weld downhill hot and heavy whenever I can as I feel it makes the flattest and smoothest welds when welding in a production setting where speed is kind of everything. A full uphill video using 035 wire would be amazing as I’m going to be out of my element for the 6g test.
Another great video guys. I’d be cool if you could do a vid on stick welding flare bevels. Kinda like sticking flat bar to the side of square tubing. Thanks a lot guys.
@@weldtube nothing against you. Your a beast! Im a AWS certified 6G pipe welder..I love stick welding but I've been doing a lot of fluxcore lately due to the fact I build barges and railcars. I would like to see a video of stainless steel pipe welding with stick in the 6G position
Would really appreciate if you did a video on 6G tig root from 6 to 3 o’clock from going up from bottom to the upright of the pipe . That to me is really difficult and would like to see some different approaches , thank you
I know you run a bit of a drag angle as you’re coming downhill, but on the bottom side it looked like you were running a bit of a push angle. Is that typical to change the angle like that for reinforcement purposes? Would that be typical for an RMD root as well?
How would the land and gap change if it was 100%co2 ? Have an upcoming plate test . The only thing I know ist that it will be 3/4 plate 100 %co2 and the filler brand esab aoutrod 12.50 ( AWS 70s6 wire ) . Also a 6g position 6 " pipe with the same requirements ( gas and wire ) .
Think you can do this plus a Flux cap ? , most companys out here are Mig root and flux cap bro ! , love your videos , wish i went to south coast instead of tulsa lol...
About to start training and testing at work with this exact procedure however our gas is 90/10. Any suggestions, known issues or set up tips with that?

Can you make a video of the same thing except instead of downhill go uphill instead. I've found going uphill is a tad more difficult at least for me.
Due to gas shielding necessity hence the method
Great job. Glorious root pass!
Great job with videos. 6010 - root, fill, cap all the way out.

That was impressive man props. You made that look verry easy and it is not.

How many tacks would you use on a 2” monster 6G MiG down
Great video bro, after roots all in do you think it's best to grind the whole root or just buff with wire wheel?
Can you do the hot pass uphill with mig on pulse process please thank you
Is the spatter inside the pipe ok?
What is use parameters and which power source is used
It's possible one video stt system? Thank you.
Could you demonstrate a mig root uphill with 0.35 wire on pipe with filler and cap with fluxcore uphill 045 wire

You need to weld from down and up
Bring back hjalmar
this is stoving and not aloud, here in the uk anyways..
Didn't know Americans stove their pipe, welding downwards makes a concaved weak fuzed weld
6G flux core
I want to earn while I'm learning 🙂😂🤣
flux-core cap
Downhill not uphill
Jody from welding tips and tricks.com has way better arc shots
Why not make open root down to up
