I'm a tacker at a pipe fab shop practicing for my mig welding test. Your tip on pointing the tip away from the puddle helps a lot because I was having quite a few blowouts when the heat built up too much on the root. My test is 6G sch. 160 pipe though😬
I’m not sure if you ended up taking your pipe test yet, but I find for 6g mig you don’t have to do anything special. As long as that heat is good burn it in. Just watch your puddle and wash up on the walls if it wants to fall in. Hell my first mig test I ran a little bit, checked it, feathered it to tie in and kept going lol. Best of luck brother
Can you please go through a few of the Synergic setting on the system. Not just the amperage but the process settings. Thanks mate, videos are fantastic
Hey man, nice work you have done! I see you in your videos welding a 2G/2F pipe/flange all around in one or two go while moving your steps at the same time. Any chance you can film a video explaining the technique and how you can keep the arc at the same rate while moving. Most of us can only weld one section at a time without moving our feet. And also welding the nozzle all around in one go, it’s astounding!
Thank you very much man 🤜🏽🤛🏽 ive gotten allot of criticism for doing that weld they say i should have welded it first normally 😅😅 but a video like that would be made for my instagram
Always appreciate your videos. I dont think some people realize how much time and practice it takes to get to your level. Ive never seen solid core wire without the copper, what is the difference besides the obvious?
For me its common practice an i learnt on on the job, and when you push almost impossible not to blow through with your root and draging is more controllable
welding is only dangerous if you litterally are trying to get hurt. yeah you are gonna get little burns here or there and if you arent carefull you can go blind but other than that itsa very laidback trade
@@rotam8680 then thats the companies fault for rushing their employees like that. If there is ever a time that a job NEEDS to be done then somebody in management didnt bid a job correctly and now has to play catch up.

Wire wheel the snot out of it but it looks great to me brother and I'm currently learning pulse as weld the only thing that you have to get used to with pulse is having your angle bang on because it can be a little unforgiving that way and it does sound like a swarm of bees coming your way lol 😆 😀
Great bit of content again, good having the run-throughs of the process too👍 Totally different to what im used to doing, but being mig work, its a bit new to me. Goes in so smooth on the pulse setting though, looks great to work with. Not too sure id easily give up my tig torch for that dip transfer root though 🤔 Top workmanship as usual there though👌
Great video mate 👍🏻I’ve never used pulse on mig, I always use pulse on root n cap on stainless pipe with tig, more penetration less heat, why do you not use pulse for root? I’ve just gone on carbon steel pipe after years on stainless 👍🏻
@@ARCONEWELDING already just double checking, gotta look at all the variables while dealing with Pipe or anything, some get a crazy bend and will make you scratch your head
Brother, in sheet metal we have the same madness... fitting and straight joints NEVER match up perfectly. That's where your fitting skills kick in. Heard about Fronious years ago and begged for one, got an ESAB instead. Dream of welding with Pulse. Keep up the great work 💪
Do you ever find you have to tweak the synergic settings i end up going on manual sometimes on my fronius apparently europe they do there runs a lot faster than in the uk
much more speed, maby 0,2-0,6 + should you not weld these pipes with a coated electrode due to the very rapid heat loss during welding? the tensions will be quite large and a leakage may occur 🙂
Dude... what’s the reason you’re dragging/pulling the torch? You’re in the PC position, nice and easy to push that torch correctly. What’s the max inter-pass temp?
The reason i drag is so my welds can come out nicely, were tested in our methods and have passed but if i try to push i cant see what im leaving behind me to know if its coming out fine
ARC-ONE WELDING interesting. Pushing you get a better view of the weld pool and it also produces better penetration. Personally wasn’t taught to pull this process, can’t imagine anybody with a city & guilds welding apprenticeship was either. Let’s see a video of you pushing a butt weld in this position... 😬
@@weldinginspector7212 does pushing gives a better depth of penetration then?, i always thought it just flattened the bead out (where i work now and last few places its been all tig and stick, the only mig was heavy steelwork so all 250amp+ spray transfer pushed ). Every welder is different. The volts, wire speed, angles can vary a lot. He's probably been doing this a while and gotten better so his setup may not be good for a beginner.no disrespect just being honest
Where you screwed up with your aliment was that you did check your flange on ground you needed to check your bolt holes were square you may have lent the bend over out of square to make up your overall measurement.
sir, your vids are ALWAYS a tutorial…and that is meant as a sincere compliment.

Good job I like pushing in the final stringer.I use a cutting wheel to even the gap and a 3/16 grinding wheel to flatten the root landing
welcome back, good to see some vids from you again, hope you had a nice-ish christmas, and haven't caught any sickness except maybe a simple flu

A little colder on the cap and it would be mint that pulse will fuse well as long as it's skimmed like you did great job buddy.

I’ve never worked with pipe before, is it a standard practice to drag your roots? If not what made you drag as opposed to push
For me its common practice an i learnt on on the job, and when you push almost impossible not to blow through with your root and draging is more controllable

and now i want to be a professional welder

WELDING ISN'T THAT DANGEROUS, I'VE BEEN DOING IT SINCE 1980, YOU JUST HAVE TO WATCH YOUR EYES ESPECIALLY FROM OTHER WELDERS.
Can you do a video with your wall of Tools and how you did it? Looks clean and I need that type of Uniform setup

Any tips on how to get good arc shots ?

Yes I know the issue of bad fit up. You gotta take time with your weld prep to get the best results.
12,55pm Nigeria time am working on pipe but my bead is always flat what should I do
6:18 how do you deal with something like that? it looks like the wire pushed through the root but didnt melt and fuse into the root?
If you cant have it at all you would cut back the root and weld it again, for me i was able to reach it at the end and chip it off

Apa tehnik anda cuma di tarik dengan amper tinggi tolong jawaban nya
Hi man, if you hadn’t have welded your socket in first, you could have rotated your pipe thru 180 to realign the butt, instead of regriding the prep👍
