Hey Mike! Great video, I've been contemplating doing this for my Bolens HT20 with the Johnson Workhorse 14 loader for a while now. Just a few questions; What GPM valve body is this? The ones i see online are 11 GMP and the Johnson pump is good for 6 GPM from what Ive read, does this pose any issues with operation? Are you able to pin out what hose goes where on the valve body? Thanks!! Dakota
Thanks Mike. Like the old Bolens. I have My Moms Fathers Bolens 1256-02 that He bought new in 1970. I have a Full factory Decal kit for when I finish the Full restoration of it. Mike M.
Thanks Sean! Sorry I know my channel has been a bit lacking lately in the amount of videos Iv been able to put out. Hoping to speed up a bit soon. Stay safe!
Thanks buddy! The UTV is actually my uncles, I gotta put a new driveshaft in it so I’m sure you guys will see it on video at some point here once I find a shaft for it that doesn’t cost $900 lol. It’s a really nice machine tho, Kubota diesel and a hydrostatic!
Thanks buddy! Yah it’s a nice old tractor for what it is, has a lot of power for its size too. He filled the rear tires before winter and it did real good 👍🏻
Hi Mike Used a lot of black pipe fittings that worked good , like you were saying low pressure on a tractor like that isn't a big deal. Your bro will like the new controls. NICE JOB
You got it man! Yah he’s really gonna love it now, much more modern and easier to use for him and certainly more ergonomic than it ever was before! Stay safe and god bless!
Neat job as always, valve worked out very well for you. That little tractor is ahead of its time, you don’t know what year it is? Great video as always!
That is a awesome tractor I wish u would have showed a lil more details about it though and also showed the loader in action scooping up some dirt and all, I just got a John Deere 425 I need to find a loader for it🙂
Hey thanks buddy! I will see if I can make a short video putting it to work for you and digging something at some point this summer or before I give it back to my bro. That John Deere you have is a nice machine and are getting harder to find each and every day! Just gotta get yourself a little loader for it!
I saw some valves like that on ebay (vevor?),but I didn't think they had the load check valve.... I've got caught out lifting things and having them drop before they lift, how did yours go?
Not sure what you mean about a check valve. This loader valve didn’t have a float valve if that’s what you’re referring to.. I wish it did but it was a cheaper valve. You can spend a little more money and find one with the float function. If you’re referring to the releif valve then yes it has one built into the hydraulic manifold. I think I showed in this video how to adjust it if need be and check pressures. Best of luck!
@BiffsEquipment its a non return valve on each spool to prevent load dropping before actuation, my vevor didn't have them,so got them separately...thanks all working good now.
Mike, I just got a new 1025R about a month ago, Your videos are very helpful. Would like to do few side jobs during the summer. How do you quote small jobs? Do you charge by the hour or do your have enough experience to look at it? I was thinking about charging for hours on the machine not to go over X amount.
Hey I have a quick question. I don't know if you have any experience on the Kubota b1750 or not, but was wondering if you knew how to remove of the hydrostatic transmission pump? I am working on one, and it had been pushing transmission oil into the engine and it was coming out of the breather. I talked with the local Kubota dealer and they said it was the pump. Just trying to figure out how it works, I am not all that familiar with hydrostatic transmissions.
Sorry I’m just seeing this comment! You need to buy a skidsteer quick coupler from Kubota.. this will allow you to run nearly any grapple on the market. The coupler costs around $550 from Kubota last I heard. How did you ever make out with this?
Haha yep that’s what the pervious owner put in it I believe. We changed the fluid with some premium Napa hydraulic/hydrostatic fluid but because it was previously filled with trans fluid it still has a red color to it.

This loader valve is doing great! My brother has been using it on his tractor and used it all winter to plow and never had an issue with it yet. I’m not sure what you mean about it dropping before you lift.. it’s never had any issues like that. It has an adjustable relief valve where you can adjust the pressure you need which should be set by the hp of your tractor. As for the one thing it’s missing is it’s missing a float valve.. some of the nicer ones on eBay I think have the float but the one I bought my brother didn’t come with one.
Nice clean job as always. The forklift looks like it came out nice too. Now get out there and tear up some dirt, like we are used to seeing you do.👍👍

Very cool man! Where did you get the decal kit? My brother needs to order one himself too
Glad to see a new video.

Thanks Trevor I really appericate that bro 👍🏻
Great video Mike! Also liked the RTV you had outside the shop at the beginning of the video! Hope to see your review of that in the future!!!

Great video. Nice replacement valve. Sure would be a handy tractor with the loader on it.
Thanks buddy! Yah it’s a nice old tractor for what it is, has a lot of power for its size too. He filled the rear tires before winter and it did real good 👍🏻
Awesome i learn a lot thank you👍👍👍👍
Thanks buddy glad to hear it!
Great job, I want to see your brother in the videos 🤪

Hey sir I need some help trying to install a grapple on my tractor. I need help finding what I need to by & how to install it to get it working

Does the valve have a float function ?
No float on this valve unfortunately.. most of these cheaper aftermarket ones don’t..
So return line doesn’t need to be hydraulic connection?
Not under much Pressure, if any..
@m9ovich is correct 👍🏻
That ole girl running ATF for hydraulic fluid?

Just bend the dam handle!
Well you are bacon by not wearing gloves welding!! The dog was right! C'mon buddy!!
Lmao! This comment wins for making me laugh. Your prolly right! I guess he really did smell bacon 😂
