Thanks, you’re correct about not using a torque wrench to break a large nut loose.. however the nut was already loose.. it was just popping like that because of the locking collar it had on it.. and it looked like I was struggling to turn it because of the pressure I had to apply to the socket to hold the socket on the nut with out it slipping off.. the torque wrench itself wasn’t doing much work at all. Thanks for watching!
Hey Ron! Sorry I’m just seeing your comment. Yes it was nerve wrecking for me also! I always support the equipment I work on but during this video my second Jack actually broke and I had no good way of supporting the tractor while working under it and not having the Jack stands be right in my way.. I certainly said a prayer before and after crawling under that axle I can tell you that much and don’t advise anyone doing what I did that day! Haha. Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do to get the job done. I hope you’ve been able to enjoy my more recent videos as well! Thanks for watching
Thanks buddy! I know it man, it’s been hard for me to keep up lately and I feel bad for all you subscribers who have been looking for new content. It’s tough to juggle so much but I hope to keep it going for you guys. I should have a new video coming in the next few weeks. Thanks for continuing to support my channel!
Thanks Rick! How you been doing buddy? I came across one of your old short videos a few weeks ago.. I said hey that’s Rick! It was the one where you showed off your new plow setup and tractor.. was pretty cool to watch again. Hope you and your Mahindra are doing well.. I bet your yard still looks amazing too!
Great information as I am rebuilding the front axel to a John Deere 4300. Little concerned about the spindle nut socket but I am gonna give it a go and see if I can purchase the correct size.
Awesome Brent! It really isn’t too hard of a job, just take it slow and follow my steps. Not a whole lot you can’t wrong on re-assembly if your some what mechanically inclined which it sounds like you are. As for the spindle socket .. it would be much easier if you can locate the proper socket from your local dealer or something. Hopefully my video helps you figure out which socket you need. Maybe one of the mechanics at your Deere dealer will even let you just barrow the socket. 👍🏻
Hey Trevor! Don’t give up on me! Haha. Sorry I have not been uploading as much lately.. life has been crazy and Iv been working on other projects in the background .. now that I’m Nearly finished with them I have been back to making videos again.. still not as often but Iv made about 3 or so more since this video that I hope you were able to enjoy! Let me know and stay safe buddy!
I'm glad to see you are making videos again. I watched your videos for almost a year, finally got a BX of my own, and then I didn't see any new videos! Thanks for the great content, I really learn a lot from watching.
Haha thanks buddy! I’m sorry I’m just now seeing your comment! Thats exciting you finally made the purchase and got one of these amazing machines for yourself! I’m sure it was annoying that I stopped making videos right when you got it and I apologize! I have been back at it again though and have made quite a few videos since this one so hopefully you were able to watch and enjoy them! I plan to release another new video this weekend as well! Stay safe buddy and I hope you’re enjoying your new BX and doing lots of great work done with it! 👍🏻

Finally it's been years since you uploaded This is very difficult to do on a mahindra emax 25 you need to press a gear an a bearing out so we just sent the axle to a proper hydraulic shop I don't know about the new mahindras but the emax 25L is like that
@@BiffsEquipment yep just fed all my animals, great job explaining everything on the video as always. Hopefully you and your brother are doing great as well as your family.
Yah allowing the axle to vent makes a big difference sometimes on how long them seals can last. Just make sure you made a proper vent so water and debris cant make its way into the axle
I've always been a working stiff (poor white man) so I get only fixing what you have to, but I don't see why you wouldn't put new bearings and cap/seal on it while it was apart? I've done jobs twice enough to know if a seal is leaking there is usually a reason and bearings that are worn are usually it but not my deal. Sorry you get enough critics on here I'm sure. Nice job any way on the video and good work. Making what you have work is a great trait to have!
Thanks buddy. So the reason I didn’t replace the bearings is for one.. the customer wanted this job done as CHEAPLY as possible.. that being said I would have still made him replace it if it needed to be replaced.. but it didn’t.. those bearings in the axle are extremely durable.. and they aren’t like a trailer bearing or a wheel bearing to a vehicle.. they don’t spin at high speeds where they can get hot and wear out quickly .. bearings on the front of a tractor axle can basically last the life of the tractor in most cases because their work load is not very large compared to the size and the speed in which they turn. I was fully confident that the bearings were fine and would remain fine for many years to come.. otherwise I certainly would have told him to replace them. Thanks for asking and bringing it up though! Stay safe!
Yes the hydraulic steering cylinder can be rebuilt if you can find a rebuild kit or the correct gaskets and seals for it. Though they can be tough to rebuild with out speciality tools .. not all of them but some of them will require special wrenches and what not to open the cylinder ends. Sometimes it’s not worth it. Thanks for watching!
I wouldn't use a torque wrench to break a large nut like that.......Great video, THANK YOU!!
We missed ya Mike. I was glad to see a new video. You worried me with no jack stands, trusting the Deere hydraulics.

Wow, very good to know! Sounds like a hydraulic press may be needed.. That's a pretty dumb design! ..and I thought JD was bad lol
@@BiffsEquipment yeah we were bummed when we saw that because we thought that it was going to be just like your Kubota bx

Good to see that dawg is still checking your work! Learned quite a bit about the front end tonight (green or orange, pretty much the same) - thanks!
Haha, yah buddy. Diesel the shop dog still makin sure I’m doin things right!

Good to see you back. I think I have to do something similar soon on my Allis Chalmers 5020. This is a good overview. Thank you.
Awesome man, Hopdully your all is charmers isn’t a whole lot different.. either way the process should be very similar!
Glad to see. U back even if it is the wrong color
