    This video is excellent. It increased my knowledge of hydraulic valve controls to allow me to diagnose and fix my controller. Thank you!

    You have the best videos with a full explanation of hydraulic systems.

    This has answered so many questions I had on how these work with excellent visuals. Thank you!

      I'll put a couple up eventually about the BICS system too. Good to hear!!

      @@hydraulics Awesome! I will definitely watch that series and share it with my fellow mechanics. If you have any more recommendations on hydraulic literature besides that mobile hydraulics manual I would love to hear about it. I'm trying to get a solid fundamental knowledge base on these systems.

    Thank you for taking the time to make this video. It helped me understand how this operates, this looks exactly like the one out of my 2001 753G. I'm still struggling on how to use the float feature but now understand how it works. I had to replace the spool valve gaskets and rings and now understand. thanks again. I got the BICS valve wire plug and the pressure relief wire plug backwards as they are identical in every way and I failed to label them. After 2 years of dinking around I finally figured it out.

    Thanks for the video, it helped me understand how these blocks work, I am student doing machine shop engineering and haven't found a video as helpful as this one❤❤Thank you

    I'm not sure why I keep saying 10 connections, when there's clearly only 8. oops.

    Great info! I am still stumped with my issue though. Machine is a 7753. At an idle the machine will randomly go under hydraulic load. Like oil was bypassing properly but then stops bypassing. While in this unintential hydraulic load status(can here it under load), the base end of the lift and tilt works, but the rod ends of the cylinders will not operate. I did replace the relief valve under the lift spool linkage connection. To me, it does not make sense that both the lift and tilt are both affected the same. Any thoughts on what to go after? Thank you!

    Your videos are the best, do you know of any online courses available in Canada that a Red Seal mechanic could take to help fill in any gaps in knowledge when it comes to hydraulic systems used on equipment? I'm a perfect case study of the Dunning Kruger effect where when I was an apprentice I thought I knew it all but now 15 years later the more I learn the more I realize how little I know. Keep up the good work.

      Carl Dyke industrial training has some online courses. I haven't tried them. And thanks! I'll be uploading a bunch in the next month or two here. I know the feeling... lifelong learning. Lol

    Incredible video! Any possibility you could show/describe how to install the detent balls and spring for the lift spool?

    G’day hystat, I am a big fan of your work, really helpful for a novice educator like me. And I came across this center drilled spools and don’t know the function of those, could you please explain what do you mean by float function of the center drilled spool valve , and what that drilled holes are for.
    Thank you very much

    I have problem with a backhoe attachment bobcat 8811 When I'm using it , it makes a hissing noise I think it comes out of the valve spool body and one of the lines starts getting hot and if I use it for more than 10 minutes ,the oil gets so hot that it
    " kooks" seals from quick coupler and leaks 0ut hot oil... if you can help will appreciate . Thank you

    Hi , I have a Cat 246c skid as long I hold joystick up the bucket will raise as soon as I let off it goes down will not hold position. What could be wrong with it? Jacks don't leak I think it's bypassing in valve. Thank you

    So is it safe to say that Load Checks could not possibly be a factor for Tilt Cylinder Drift when the spool in the HOLD position as the Bridge ports for the load checks are blocked by lands on the spools. (assuming intact iron no cracks in valve body). Also, you went over port relief valves and some newer machines have Pilot Operated Directional Control Valve/ BICS Lock Valves on the lift and tilt circuits with a built in relief to Drain. I've removed mine and checked the orings and back up seals to find they are in tact, but im starting to suspect failure inside the valve itself. They are quite expensive and to just throw the part at my machine is not ideal. Is it possible to Bench test the functionality of these types of valves?

      @hydraulics  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ShermBASS never seen anyone bench test them. You are correct, load checks do not cause drift.
