Hands down one of the best levels in da game like it really felt like The Kong Family was going to War against KING K. ROOL 1:57 best part in my opinion
Monkey Game didn't have to go THIS hard. You must have had to collect a ton of blueprints to assemble this amazing arrangement! Also, that album name - it literally couldn't be anything else. Perfect, 201/200
Thanks so much!!! What a fucking master piece of an honor Nico!!! You are fulfilling my fantasy on seeing you cover all of this masterpiece of soundtrack!!
Incredible cover. I was blown away by the power off variant. Powerful stuff man! Great Job to you and all involved. Favortie for sure of mine now! Just in time for the DK64 24th anniversary too 👍
I remember this music vividly as a kid playing this game, hours and hours of gameplay coming to an end, culminating in a race against the clock in a level where you literally have to do everything you’ve learned in the game. As a musician it almost brings me to tears the effort you put into this. Thank you. This made my day brother. I play this on the piano all the time but also having been a drummer, the Xylophone part gives me chills 🤯😎 ~ this shit slaps.
This is so epic! It makes me appreciate the original even more. I love the instrumentation, and the percussive rhythms are so good. Chills!!! Amazing job as always.
@@NicoMendozaMusic You're welcome! I think this is one of the best compositions by Grant Kirkhope. I don't know about you, but some people say he makes "clown music" compared to David Wise. I think them folks don't understand that Grant's music is inspired by orchestral music that I guess isn't palatable for some people anymore, if only they heard you guys playing his songs. That's why I said it really brings out the composition. The N64's limitations had a bit of a barrier, but played by real instruments, I think it shows the definitive sound they were going with.
Jesus dude.. used to love playing DK64, Banjo Kazooie/Tooie etc myself back in my teens with other buddies or nerds who happened to be able to pick up any instrument and play by ear. Miss those days before life and jobs got in the way, Anyways dude love how you cover these tracks so close to the originals, no extra nonsense just as audibly accurate as can be. Pure nostalgia coming back
I knew that one of those comments would be hidden here somewhere...Just had to look. But in all seriousness this isn't one of those dystopian movies where if you get bad grades you get executed. If it was then it'd be appropriate but other then that no. You'd be surprised how many of those comments there are on videos like this. It doesn't matter what song it is, if it's intense you're gonna find something like that. So enough of those comments already, it's annoying, and it's not like you live in Japan. Or you do because I have no idea who you even are. Even still I keep seeing these comments over and over again so for the sake of people like me, spread the word to other people like yourself who make comments like that to f*cking stop. Seriously, what happened to that 1970s and 1980s rebellion against school anyway? It needs to come back seriously. And no, I don't care how long this comment is. Plus, someone already commented that on this TH-cam video 5 whole months before you did so there you go.
This is my first exposure to your content and as a *big* fan of Hideout Helm, and any Banjo or DK64 music, I've instantly subscribed and fully plan to eventually binge watch most of your covers!
Incredible work! This song was always one of the absolute best from DK64, and you've made it so epic here! I cannot express how hype the part starting at 1:40 is.
I can't deny, definitely you make the music brings me back the memories and desaire to play again this greates game, thks for bring us this special music with your professionalism and love for the games, and hello from Mexico
I believe that Cauldron Keep's Theme (from Banjo-Tooie) was inspired by Hideout Helm's Theme. I can hear some of Cauldron Keep's Music during the second part of Hideout Helm's Music.
This was fantastic to hear put together! The Game Brass added a whole extra layer of sound that was lovely to hear. It felt like a whole suite of music in one piece for the final level, with the theme going from tuba and violin and bouncing between with those sinister strings chords. What a fantastic piece of music and a wonderful first way to experience it through this incredible arrangement! I need to play DK64, haha... maybe if they add it to NSO ;-)

That was definitely a crazy concept!

And the countdown doesn't stop 💀
And the evil laughs every 5 minutes
It's such a good final level theme. The theme is screaming at you that this is a trial of everything you've learned up to this point.
EXACTLY! KIRKHOPE YOU GENIUS!!!
I like how the trumpet player in the top left looks like he's trying not to burst out laughing.
I hereby award you the title "Conquerors of the Kong". Wear it with pride.

This is what a remaster of DK64 should sound like, if Nintendo made it.
Hideout Helm(et) never gets old of its excitement it creates before you beat the final boss!
Well done captured the feeling

Thanks man!! This level really had the most intense overworld music
I see what you did there!
Ufff la música suena tan épica, me trae muchos recuerdos de cuando intentaba terminar el juego, un gran trabajo sin duda ✨
Wow. The arrangement is absolutely amazing!
You should do covers of Conker's Bad Fur Day when you have the ability to do so as well
Really digging the DK64 video's. This was always my favourite level theme. Really faithful rendition!
Thanks Nico!! Great stuff
