Great, informative video. When I rebuilt my Audi I experienced the same thing with dealers selling parts via a different website. Prices are great but good luck getting someone on the phone to discuss pricing with you. What you see is what you get.

Another great video Mike! I use the same strategy when pricing out parts for various projects/maintenance on my BMWs & Porsche. I recently rebuild my transmission & replaced all the suspension parts on my 5 series. After comparing prices I bought everything from FCP. Their price was the best & you can't beat their lifetime warranty! I'm getting ready to replace all the suspension components on my 05 987 Boxster S and have a couple comparison carts setup at ECS & FCP. I wasn't aware of the other Porsche parts sellers you showed in the video but I'm definitely going to check them out to see if I can find a better deal! By the way, Zimmerman are OEM BMW rotors. The gray coating keeps them from rusting. I put them on my 5 a couple years ago & they were exactly like the originals I replaced. I also installed Textar pads which are also OEM. Very little wear & excellent heat dissipation. I work in the Chicago suburbs & good breaking is a must while driving here in rush hour traffic with our ever changing weather! One last point on your mention of spark plugs. After I bought my Boxster a few years ago the first thing I did was replace all the maintenance items since it did not have any service history. I bought the Bosch OEM plugs down the street at my local AutoZone for $6 a piece. The car has run great ever since & has exceptional power & acceleration. Keep evangelizing the cost savings of purchasing OEM parts & doing the work yourself! It really does help people to be less fearful of owning a car from one of Germany's finest manufacturers.

I got a set of Hawk pads for the front and back. About half the price of standard Porsche pads. Have had them on about 2 years, great performance, no squeaking. Bought from Advance Auto...real performance.

Super video, Mike. I’ve used outside parts suppliers for my Porsches for years, but with less precision than you describe in this video. Good stuff! I’m planning to add a Panamera to my garage in the weeks ahead. I almost bought one last year but opted for a BMW 640 instead. Now I’m circling back to add the Panamera, a 2014/15/16 970.2. I see you’re in Santee - a great launching point for driving out on the back roads of East County!

My front shocks are leaking on my Panny. The dealership quoted me 8K CAN. That’s after my compressor seized. I plan to replace everything myself.

Hi, Mike my name is Michael. I just became a new Porches Panamera family. I own a 2012 Porches Panamera S Hybrid. I look into the link you listed and I can’t find anything under a thousand please helps. By the way does the Sebro rotors supposed to be the difference thickness of 330mm and 350mm for the rear? Thank you
