Wow this is simply amazing. Nice to see Judah making her strides in life. She is a very lovely young girl. You can tell she is being raised well. Nice to see Karen as well. Love the natural ingredients (chia seeds and all), to be consistent with 'natural,' use whole grain flour, or blended, like almond and whole wheat flour, UNBLEACHED. Bleached flour entails the use of chemicals to make it white, tripping the bran. Half of the beneficial unsaturated fatty acids, virtually all the vitamin E, 50% of calcium, 70% phosphorus, 80% iron, 90% magnesium, 50% vitamin B, are lost.
White flour makes no nutritional sense...we eat for maximum sustenance. Grains come from nature brown or whole. I learned that the idea for 'refinement' came from the idea that sugar needed to be white (for eye appeal), to be served at the queen's table (Queen of England), so refinement became a trend. People assume, "it's good for me too." Hence the old adage, "monkey see...monkey do." It literally became a prospect of SUPPLY AND DEMAND...and not about nutrition.
So, societal demand dictate what producers proliferate. Consumers need to be cognizant, to "be careful what you ask for." Once a trend is in motion, is can only be reversed by the very consumers that popularized it...it seldomly happens.
I hope the Marley recipe makers read this.
