- During a time when rhythm games became popular in the West names such as Guitar Hero and Rock Band would most likely come to mind. Fast-forward into the present day we arrive to a game that seeks to revive interest in the Guitar Hero formula. With this in mind, I thought I'd make a video talking about why you should play Clone Hero.

I just picked up Clone Hero a few days ago and I've already sank in hours and hours of gameplay in it. I didn't realize how much I missed the Guitar Hero franchise until I played it.
I havent played a GH game or anything since before I lost my left ring finger. I relearned real guitar tho, im sure I could still play lol
Back in my day, 2007-2008, with the incredible thrill of playing GH3, I played sitting down and strum with my left toe and play with my right hand using just three fingers because I was born with one arm and partially developed right hand.
I had a great time and played around the Hard/Expert level. One by Metallica in particular was very challenging towards the middle of the end with the constant speed strumming then that solo on top of that! Talk about exhausting!

I’ve been Playing the guitar hero series since 2013 and it hurts to see people who never heard of it or say that the games are simple but it’s a hard game man it took me years to fc ttfatf

Clone hero has a frickin huge library of songs available.
I miss drumming on these games. I had the guitar hero one with 3 toms and 2 cymbals, double kick also to play the Metallica game properly, it was so much fun!
You can play drums in Clone Hero!
Your rhythm game videos are super underrated man. You should make an sdvx video if you have or do end up playing it !

I will definitely check out Clone Hero someday (does it work with the GH Live guitar? The only other instrument I own is the GH3 guitar for the 360) but if I had my own game company, I would produce my own spiritual successor to GH/RB, I'd call it Let's Rock and release it on Switch, PS5 and Series X! (Can the GH Live guitar be used on the PS5 and Series X? I hear the latter doesn't take Xbone peripherals like the Kinect) I'd also release at least 2 spinoff titles, Let's Rock as A Family (my game's Band Hero/Lego Rock Band) and Let's Rock and Laugh (a game with comedy songs, such as those of Weird Al and Tenacious D)!
When you feel old watching this and moving your fingers to the notes like how you use to play gh3 which was the best of all the games

I miss guitar hero so much and crave some rhythmy goodness, sadly my only controller is a ps2 one. I played later games with friends.
Be lovely if they made a game that would also automatically chart songs as would massively improve my library even further

I just have one question : Why everyone who play this on a keyboard has to hold the keyboard that weird way? I am a full-time Keyboard player and I just play while my keyboard is on the desk... Simple and easy, I can play expert song with 90+% accuracy ! 😉

Anyone know how to fix this issue I’m having?
I downloaded it for the Mac and it works but when I play any song the music is there and background but the notes (chart) isn’t.. I tried downloading it multiple times but it still doesn’t show up, any suggestions are would be appreciated
Is this game multiplayer capable? (playing with others at home in a VS setting)
Yes there is a versus mode where it tracks who has the most score. If you have the controllers / gamepads it goes up to 4 players
is there a way to get a ps2 guitar hero controller to work with this?
is controller enabled on here? had hundreds upon hundreds of hours on LOR3 and all on controller, even play FNF using controller, so would love to play this with the controller

Yes just turn on Gamepad Mode for the typical Game controller experience
FNWeeaboo, have you found song packs for CH or guitar freaks that cover Japanese music? Especially looking for J-metal like Aldious.
How is the accuracy between the screen and the button that you touch is it good or sometime you can feel a delay?
You can set up audio and video delay in the settings if you feel its off
I'm a rocksmith guy but wish there's a Clone Hero equivalent to this game. Soon the music licenses are going to expire, the game will be delisted and no one can buy it anymore.
isnt rocksmith more teaching tool than game? it's like digital guitar tabs, and guitar tabs are never going out of fashion

I got it but I’m having a hard time getting the instruments to work. I have a rock band ps4 guitar, ps3 guitar, and the latest guitar hero one, can’t get the game to recognize it. I have the drums too I didn’t try it yet tho

Is this game still relevant? I just got a pc and wanted to play GH and found clone hero. Should i download it?? is it easy to get songs or do you have to pay or download them?
It's quite relevant, you should download it and installing songs is usually if not always free

a bit late but there is actually 6 note types (please someone tell me if someone already pointed this out)
you forgot the “chord” note, its basically the regular note however there are 2-5 notes you need to press at the same time
to hit these you need to hold down the frets/notes and strum, literally the regular note but there are 2 or more notes, these can be separated or right next to each other

There is however functionality with dongles vary it you use the xbox one’s dongle doesn’t work the rest require drivers and for the 360 you have to swap tilt and whammy’s controls

rockband is still around but the rockband engine is such trash though compared to Guitar Heros Engine

I'll pass. Community made charts are never very good. They always gear them towards expert mode and never create them as good as Activision or Harmonix do.
You could learn to chart and make some chart for lower levels. 👍 No hate
