The actual song is infinitely more complex. 6 strings. 24 frets. Effects, whammy bat. Tapping, different picking styles. Music is hard.
The same way people memorize multi-movement sonatas and concertos. Comparatively, this is super easy.
Yeah I've played guitar outside at night and stunned a buddy who knew how to play a few songs who tried and failed to play in the dark lol. Muscle memory through practice as my fellow musicians above and likely below have mentioned makes a player good. Still impressive, nonetheless.
@@dotmatrix9818 memorizing sonatas and concertos is actually a lot harder because most classical musicians don't really know music theory and chord progression that well so they're literally memorizing.
But if you think about it this is what real guitar players do. They don't have sheet music in front of them. They play whole song with crazy rifts and solos, completely by memory. This is huge and I thought i'd never see the day something like this happens. Just watched the 2008 "world record" video for this song. This guy beat it blind folded.
That's completely different, in the game each misses count and you can't hide the mistakes

@@racertv9 yeah but theres a pretty big difference between being able to play a game without instructions and doing the hardest song of guitar hero III (7 minute long song btw) on the hardest difficulty without even looking. Its understandable to have at least a little bit of doubt at first.

Don't know why the heck this appeared on my reccomended, but glad I am for it. For 9 minutes, I was taken back to the 2000s, when things were hectic, attitude era was in full effect, and all we had to do was grab guitar hero, rock and singstars to have a party with friends. Good times 😁

My brain can do it but my body doesn’t, ah well. This brings back memories
