- The story of a legend begins here, the rise of a mercenary during the early phase of the Lynx war. This is part one of the story of Armored Core 4 and Armored Core for answer.

I mean where can i sign up for such a life ha ha.
The corporations must have been absolutely terrified of the raven. Like seeing him bring down two corporations and multiple top ranked lynx including Berlioz. The top ranked lynx. Makes sense they would try to kill him. But of course each attempt failed. With them finally resorting to destroying his home in order to get rid if him. It really makes his return as white glint so much better and gives better context as to why the league kept a close eye on him.
This is true and i'll talk more about that in the next part.
Man the story of Anatolia's Mercenary is just a tragedy but it's so well written and lovely

The 1V4 will forever live in my head as a proud day indeed, when I finally put the wings of Nobless Oblige on White Glint. So psyched for AC6.
A fun build even if a little overweight on reg 1. But i like to hear this as i think ever lynx has that one battle that sticks with them and oh me too.
Man I remember back in the day the only way to clear these missions with an S rank was to use a quadra-ped light weight build with dual long blades and chain boost as much as possible to then stab the other AC for massive damage.
@@zenith5048 I went with medium biped and dual cannon on the back with twin blades. I'd just time the shots with their landing and turn the 5 surrounding city blocks into a fireball with 2 shots, since one explosion would trigger the other and give it a very wide range with an insane damage output. Sol Dios is where I flattened my nose against the brick wall at full speed. Figuring those out wasn't fun with cannon and blade.

@@zenith5048 I think that loadout got so well known they named it "Yoda". So that was my trusty Toy Yoda. After that, I ran full soluh/seraph with battle rifles and reverse joint legs. That playthrough put hair on my chest but it became my signature style. Later on I realized it shares allot of DNA with white glint in its design and build philosophy. Fast, light, efficient and packing an answer for each obstacle. Multilocking rockets onto a horde of minions will always make me drool.
It's nice to see the entire story of AC 4 gen summarised in these vids, given how ambiguous the story telling is, it can be very confusing to understand everything, but you do a good job of explaining the story and wider concepts all condensed. Very well done!

I mentioned many videos ago that I never played ACV or VD, and you mentioned that you plan to cover those games as well.
I know I can get a 360 or ps3 for cheap, but my wife stays at home looking after our toddler, so I don't have the time to go back and play those games, but I wish I could.
Anyway, I'm greatly looking forward to when you cover V and VD.
From what I can tell, people don't like the lack of speed, but I love the aesthetic of those games, and making the ACs smaller allowed the environment to be larger and more detailed.
Thank you for your kind words. There is some dislike towards it, but i do find the fifth gen to be an interesting beast with its designs and lore. There are so many question and i admit I'm still trying to get more of the fifth gen books translated before i dive in so i may require some time but i will be tackling the beast head on.
There are some aspects of ACV that I wasn't a fan of, gameplay wise, but the game itself was good. In fact, looking at the lore and story of ACV and VD: the gameplay changes are understood.

After ac6 i hoped back to play the older ac games starting from ac4, but after beating ac4 i was super confused as to what happened…but thanks to your vid now i get the lore :D

I think we'd need armored core's first. Then again i think we have to say would a real world raven with this much power might just want to control everything.

Just beat AC4 last night and I'm glad I watched this. I didn't know why Joshua Obrian destroyed Anatolia and thought he did it for money, really hated him for that. Where does the information about him being blackmailed and his colony being aspina from? It's hard finding any sources for anything. I feel like ac4 and for answer deserve a remaster with the lore fleshed out. It would be great.
Sadly a lore of lore for this game is hidden in a Japanese only book named Armored core a new order for nexts. I will say that the black mail point is still speculation at this point as although there is suggestions that in the Japanese version of the game Joshua has more lines to say (I am still looking into this myself) and Celo showing up has made the idea stronger that it was omer being the one who forced the pilot to attack. Along with this from the book which is from the perspective of an inworld journalist named Friedman Ray, he speculated about who was behind Joshua using the 00 Aretha to attack on page 61 in a small box of text. A remake would be nice with more of this lore stuffed in.
@@armoredcorelore Yeah after SS ranking For Answer I finally got to play 4 and it honestly feels like a dlc addon prequel. It was fascinating seeing actual cities before the corporations ruined everything kojima pollution. I found it kinda hilarious that the 00 Athena shows up in For Answer in the hard mode destroy the satellite laser mission and Kasumi just calls it a old relic. And even though I've heard that Fires of Rubicon isn't in the same universe as 4th Gen I personally like to believe that Rayleonards plan was a success and sometime after verdict day and 5 mankind finally expanded it's reach to the stars at some point, leaving behind a polluted earth that might heal itself in time.

1:24 I noticed that in the opening movie you have Solarwind Normals armed with machine guns and shields. Sadly, they do not have these weapons in the game only armed with bazooka and back missile launchers .

Got a question is there any mention on what happened to the Anatolia site after 4 like did a corp move in or was it completely abandoned and what about the city in ac5 do you think it’s apart of an area we’ve been in ac4 or for answer
Sadly not that i have seen so far. All we do have to go off is what Ostrava said when he went to battle white glint "What right have you to speak? You who brought down Anatolia!" This would suggest that after it was attacked by Joshua that the colony was destroyed. But again it is very much like Emilie fate, which is unknown.
And its possible but acv history is a little unclear as even the lore book on v even goes to say There are various theories as to the causes of the devastation of the once prosperous world. Among them, two theories are "resource shortages due to population growth" and the "widening gap between rich and poor" led to repeated wars. They are highly credible considering the numerous weapons that have been discovered. It is also believed that the world was undermined by the leakage of pollutants from the weapons used in those battles. Alternatively, there is a persistent theory that environmental changes due to natural catastrophes and extreme weather conditions were the cause of the devastation.
Now that the ancient records have been lost, there is no way to know which theory is true.
Again its that unclear history which throws a lot of things into a mess. Don't get me wrong however we know there is connections between the worlds, but to be honest pin pointing places is easier between v and verdict day then for answer and V.

Next sort of sound like human plus users a little.
They do, however it seems AMS capability varies between people, so no operation will make a person a better lynx. If you can handle what the system throws at you, you can pilot a next. If you can't then that next is not moving an inch.
I really wanna see the mr-r102 rifle and the 051-annr rifle in ac6 im really hoping they add them as dlc

@@armoredcorelore yeah personally I really just wanna see the style of ac4 and 4a/5 and verdict day where the gunfire looks a little more real and projectile velocity is higher with some more high fire rate auto rifles with larger magazines that perform more like what we see in the ac4 trailer. That and the more intimidating look of the nexts was a huge attractor for me as well as some higher caliber long range explosive rounds semi auto cannons instead of only having laser rifles and rail guns that look basically like lightning guns as the only ranged weapons. Just gives the gameplay a lot more of a powerful look as an armored core should be

No the pilot of white glint in ACFA is the player from ac4, however since players can change the name of the lynx for lore purposes the player from ac4 is referred to as Anatolia's mercenary.
