We don't like giving to goodwill around here, they sell every thing really HIGH and don't give back to the community. We do Churches and Salvation Army. I wish our goodwill was as good as yours.
I don't donate to Goodwill either for the same reason, I do buy from them, because sometimes they just don't price it too high. However, when I do donate, I give to either our Humane Society Thrift store, or our Women's shelter.
In my town every spring and fall there is a time one can put out their unwanted stuff on the curb. Others can drive around and see if they want anything. After the two weeks the town will pick it up and dispose of it properly. Some great finds can be found.
My son found an AC in the zzS Ontario city he lives in, worked for 6 years,,, then here in my isolated little town,, I found an upright vacuum cleaner and the next stop there was a plant stand, hand macramed plant hangers,,, and. 4 plants,,, 2 stops later,,, an older AC,,, (I had one already) so I took it and tried it out,, worked OK,,, gave it to a senior lady in the apartment building,,, she and the 2 kids with her couldn't sleep at night cause of the heat in her apartment
That makes me absolutely sick to see them toss out those mailers and boxes. I need them all the time and pay good money for them. So glad you rescued them, but how many more end up in dumpsters across the US. It’s just sick!
I’m betting we each have our favorite dumpsters for those clean good sized boxes and materials. Mine is at a medical equipment supplier. Another a computer store that did business installations (pre-Covid)

I saw the nice shipping supplies you found. I went a couple weeks ago to a thrift store I know & I got 2 totes full of 9.9" x 12.5" manila envelopes. I wish I could have found boxed of padded mailers and small boxes like you did!

Those color books could be sold on eBay very easily. Even if the color has been discontinued a lot of stylists could still use the color chart to show their clients similar colors.

People pay for the designer name. The women’s clothing on the website is cute, but oof, I’d never pay that much for it. The shirt was a real find. I’m glad you kept it out of the landfill.
If the shirt is an authentic Pollo, someone probably stole it from a expensive store and then got scared and abandoned it in Michael's. They probably did a haul, and the police were looking for them. Sounds dumb, but it happens all the time.
That is an Awesome shirt. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was expensive! I love it!!! It's the colors, the flowers standing out against the black background... It has The look of quality.

When you found the shirt there was 1 plastic shipping bag that clothes come in when you order online the bag was from macys. You actually had it in your hand and tossed it. Lol
Amazing finds and that chair is cute and like you said would be great for little ones at a table to adjust them to the hight needed without a booster seat!
You can get little devices that you can use to notify you when someone is coming. They are used for deaf and hard of hearing people. Your husband would push the button on one device from the car and it would vibrate the device you have attached to you without anyone but you knowing. I worked with the deaf and hard of hearing for five years. You can search on line From Harris Communications or other companies like them.

That shirt is not from Michael’s they don’t sell clothes. I think that someone shoplifted that shirt then dumped it.
They do sell t-shirts and some other clothing type items to use for crafting

I save mailers to use as padding when I pack plates and bowls. Cardboard is good for crafts and protection when you paint.
