So I’ve been dieing to tell you that my daughter and I have been venturing into surrounding towns and last weekend we found a Bed Bath and Beyond that doesn’t spray paint! There was so much stuff I couldn’t believe it. Funny when this stuff happens I’m excited to tell y’all lol We got a double basket Ninja Fooji, table cloth, I though I got 50 towels but when I got home I realized they where half real towel fabric and half like a tea towel fabric. I was so bummed it said display on actual tags. But they are Egyptian cotton so I’m going to cut them I think and at least have a bunch of wicked nice hand towels. Anyways we’re def going to make a weekly visit to this place

if you find something that needs repaired (like the unicorn), and the fabric looks like it might fray out pretty bad, theres a product called 'fraycheck', in case youve never heard of it. its a clear liquid that you lay down all around a tear or cut to prevent it from going any farther. doesnt take much either. i found a very old teddy bear at a thrift store, and it was made out of an even older quilt. it needed washed SO bad, so i fray checked it, put it in a pillowcase and washed it on gentle. came out well. i hadnt missed but, a very few holes in the quilted stuff.

@@nikkiworm254 The original caps ARE metal. I have the original Lava Lights, and had no trouble. I don't think they get that hot. It's a 40W bulb. I don't need my substitutes any more, and it's been awhile. You could check how hot it gets, first. Good comment!
Hey guys I know I'm probably watching old videos but I just wanted to mention when you find stuff chipped or cracked there's this putty stuff at home Depot that can fill in the cracks and chips then just use the color of nail polish or add something to it to cover it ,when I repair I use my nail acrylic, putting, nail polish and pray paint, gorilla glue an tape, just a few things I use and you don't see the boo-boos
Steph, check if the inside part where the cup actually sits comes out. You might be able to sell them as parts too. Mine is cracked but i can still use it, maybe someones broke. They are hard to get out to clean sometimes. Good luck.
I read to push up from the bottom while pulling out from the top, mine comes right out. I rinse it after every use. 🙃 She said there was no needles in it tho.
I personally like the weird shape candy bin... I would make it a planter. Always hot glue a design so the cement will have it when dried. Add a large cup a dowel fro drain. I have so many ideas. Maybe I need to go to my 5 and under and ask for them to save that shape for me. Also.... so many kids break the lava lamp and get rid of it all so I wouldn’t be surprised you get several sent to you. Also run across some in the garbage sine they fall and get broken in store... intil then add a small paper cone for the top.
Those displays come from the manufacturer like that for the stores to display that usually gut them.They do it like that so the store doesn't use the actual coffee pot with cord as a display

My solution to Lava Lights without caps, at yard sales, was to use the cap from a large bottle of mouthwash. You can even spray paint to match!
Aren’t mouthwash caps plastic? My sons lava lamp get extremely hot, I would think that would be dangerous. 😳
